ParticipantI’m honored to have just been added to a listserv of COVID-19 treating physicians.
A couple of the primaries seem to like my finds and blog.
I’m on a list with Dr Zelenko and he posted something yesterday.

Testing of saved samples of sewage in the US and of stored blood samples is a thing. All results are classified and must be reported only to the federal task force, all proceedings of which (CDC and DIA) are classified.
I am free to tell you that a patient of mine, in Austin, nearly died in November-December 2019 in the local teaching hospital, of multi-organ ailure, including lungs, heart and kidneys. The only thing they ever found on testing was nothing, a common-cold, coronavirus. Somehow he lived. By the time I got his discharge records coronavirus WAS a thing (January 2020).

ParticipantWe now know that SARS-CoV-2 virus was spreading in the US from June 2019. The military-industrial-security-propaganda-complex had to control the rise of cases, to make it fit their curves and narrative. This was done by grossly limiting the number of available tests and only testing the sickest people.
“The Centers for Disease Control utterly botched the initial testing regime, sending out bogus tests to state and local health departments and taking a month and a half to do what the Thai government achieved in one day. The Food and Drug Administration helped turn the coronavirus from a deadly peril into a national catastrophe.
Long after foreign nations had been ravaged and many cases had been detected in America, the FDA continued blocking private testing. The FDA continued forcing the nation’s most innovative firms to submit to its command-and-control approach, notwithstanding the pandemic.”

We are now into the “second wave” of COVID.
In (sunny) Texas hospitalized cases have just exceeded their previous mid July peak.
There is controversy about the term “second wave”. It may mean different things to different people.
Why would there be an interruption in the spread of contagious illness through a population?
There are masks and social distancing, which make it somewhat harder for virus to jump from host to host.
There are also host-resistance factors.
Being susceptible to a bad outcome, if infected, is different from being more or less susceptible to initial infection.
We have repeatedly been shown that adequate levels of vitamin-D in a person reduce risk of infection when exposed (nasopharyngeal innate-immunity is supported.) and we have repeatedly seen that the lowest vitamin-D levels are closely correlated with worst hospital outcomes.
Giving high-dose vitamin-D in a Spanish study was a very effective treatment intervention for hospitalized patients.
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7456194/
Vitamin-D levels mostly come from sunshine entering the skin surface and creating active vitamin D. Darker skin , weaker sun, and less skin exposure to the sun all decrease vitamin-D levels. Vitamin-D builds and falls slowly in the body, over months, so the peak levels lag peak sun by about 3 months. Also, people may avoid August sun, and go back out in September. The curves will be different in Hawaii and New York.
It is clear that dark skinned people in northern climes get hit the hardest, but that dark skinned people in Africa are faring tremendously better.
I have not seen a published comparison of vitamin-D levels by population, area and season, but they can be reasoned out.
Do support your local immune system this winter, please! Vitamin-D 5000 units per day is a good dose for adults, and can be doubled for the first month or 2 to get blood levels up into the mid normal range.Jeremy in the UK sent this:

Here is an August interview with Professor Thomas Borody, regarding ivermectin, zinc, doxycycline treatment for COVID-19, which is curative.
Professor Borody developed the cure for peptic ulcer disease, caused by H. pylori infection. People stopped dying of bleeding ulcers, but adoption was slow, since ordinary generic medicines could be used. There was no fortune to be made.
https://covexit.com/we-know-its-curable-its-easier-than-treating-the-flu-professor-thomas-borody/Ziverdo costs $2 in India. It’s zinc, ivermectin and doxycycline at fixed doses. People seem to have a very hard time getting it to Europe or the US when seeking to order it online.

Here is Dr Paul Marik’s treatment protocol. Pages 9-11 are most relevant to outpatients, but the prophylaxis section following next is also useful.

ParticipantLots of health care workers who have already had COVID (like my MD daughter) are getting vaccinated, no questions asked of anybody, as to whether this makes sense.
It’s a big, advertised rollout, mainly driven by PR. All the professional communication I get about it is sales pitches to reassure patients, as if that’s absolutely the right thing to do.

You asked about citrus seedlings. Yes, they are unpredictable. My seeds are from an orange tree from an orange seed, but there is a tangerine tree from seed right next to it, and they can cross pollinate, By the time the seedlings get to be a foot and a half or so, they start making spikes. Spiky citrus seems to be more cold tolerant, in general. It may be a long time before I see what fruit they make. Grafts onto rootstock think they are already a grown-up tree, so they make fruit much sooner,I’ve been away/busy a few days yet again.

Michael Hudson again:
The Ten Commandments were about debt
People tend to think of the Commandment ‘do not covet your neighbour’s wife’ in purely sexual terms but actually, the economist says it refers specifically to creditors who would force the wives and daughters of debtors into sex slavery as collateral for unpaid debt.
“This goes all the way back to Sumer in the third millennium,” he said.
Similarly, the Commandment ‘thou shalt not steal’ refers to usury and exploitation by threat for debts owing.
The economist says Jesus was crucified for his views on debt. Crucifixion being a punishment reserved especially for political dissidents.
”To understand the crucifixion of Jesus is to understand it was his punishment for his economic views,” says Professor Hudson. “He was a threat to the creditors.”
Jesus Christ was a socialist activist for the continuity of regular debt jubilees that were considered essential to the wellbeing of ancient economies.

ParticipantPolitical Jesus, by Pepe Escobar is quite good
https://www.unz.com/pescobar/political-jesus/
Now imagine the scene – worthy of a Scorsese epic: an outsider, itinerant preacher from Galilee, arriving in the mean streets with his posse, all speaking in weird accents, with the crowds shouting he may be the Messiah. And then, the ultimate set piece: he enters the Temple, by himself, and overthrows the tables of the moneylenders. What did he really want?
That’s Political Jesus 1 and 2.
1. To graphically stress the end of the old order – Temple included – and the coming of the “new kingdom”.
2. To express – politically – the growing popular revolt against the ruling elite.
And by a simple twist of fate, that’s when he sealed his destiny.
Blowback was instantaneous. The Jewish priests had to be placated. They feared Roman retaliation. And then Caiaphas saw his opening, telling them – according to the Gospel by John – “it is better for one man to die for the people”.
And that’s how Jesus the Outsider was used as only a pawn in their game to maintain order in Jerusalem.
He was now free to enter History as a larger than life Martyr, Savior, and Myth.

Jenny and I are fortunate to have had a pretty normal and busy year, despite all of the changes this year. We have been well, and Jenny’s big spinal surgery in July went well. Jenny is fully recovered and working daily at her school.Holly (not Tommy), Amber, and Amber’s husband, Philip all had COVID. They all took antivirals, and they are all doing well. We have all been taking 5000 units per day of vitamin-D this year. We hope that you also have, and still are.
Your own immune system is the miracle drug for this weird virus. Low vitamin-D weakens your immune system. Low and extremely low vitamin-D levels are the norm in our modern world, since people live and travel “indoors”, and do not get hours of daily sun on their skins. There is good medical analysis that up to 87% of COVID deaths are directly linked to low vitamin-D.
People have a trained reflex; “don’t take too much!” I’ll tell you my experience and also a recent study that looked at getting vitamin-D levels up to normal quickly. The observational study used 60,000 units of vitamin D3 per day for 2-3 weeks. More than half of the participants got a mid-normal blood level by 2 weeks, but about a quarter of them still had a blood level below the target range of 50 or more, at the end of 3 weeks. Nobody had a higher than normal level. Normal is 30-100, and the target range here was 50-100.
60,000 Units per day is a big number, but it is 1.25 mg of vitamin-D, which sounds much smaller.
My experience is that people don’t absorb all of a big dose, and absorb multiple smaller doses better.
People who take two pills of 5000 units per day (the largest dose our stores here sell) will usually get up into the low normal range in 2-3 months, but not always. It is ok to catch up missed doses when you remember.
I have given away over $500 of vitamin-D 5000 units this year. Another 200 bottles of 100 pills should come in today or tomorrow, for $670. It will also be given to patients, coworkers, friends, neighbors and family. I gave a bottle to a beggar I see on my bike ride, instead of the usual dollar bill, and a school crossing guard who waves at me. I explained the benefits and urged them to take it daily. They said they were on Friday when I saw them again. Jenny got $120 worth of Vitamin D at Costco and gave it to all of her coworkers when they had an outbreak at school last month. I treated three of her coworkers (including a husband with cancer) without seeing them in clinic.
Ivermectin is the core antiviral treatment that works very well at all stages of COVID, including prevention.
Vitamin-D should be taken as a baseline, and it should be added if someone who gets sick is not already taking it.
Zinc has long been known to disrupt corona viral reproduction.
Frontline COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance website keeps up with this, as do I at http://www.johndayblog.com, though I keep up with a lot of other things, too. We have entered a time of rapid and disorienting societal transformation
It is important, in my professional opinion, not to expose yourself to the risks of vaccines, which have not been through extended testing.
Coronavirus vaccines have a specific problem called “Pathogenic Priming”, which means that when the vaccine works to produce antibodies, it also works to prime a fatal response for the host animal or person, when exposed to the coronavirus. This became apparent after SARS in the early 2000s. They tried repeatedly to make coronavirus vaccines, but too many lab animals always died. They never developed any coronavirus vaccine safe enough for human trials.
There are no animal trials this time, for any of the COVID-19 vaccines.
Wait to see how this works out for people. Take 5000 units per day of vitamin D.

What are the effects of technology and artificial intelligence in both our organic and our subjective bodies? Mind control with bidirectional devices, both collecting information and inducing commands is a work in progress.
Perverse levels of technological control of society are a serious concern as Pluto, aka Hades, lord of the underworld, will also transit in technological and futuristic Aquarius from 2023/24 on, up until 2043/44 – times of intense social transformation, when technological advancements will blow our minds and the very conception of science will change considerably, but with serious risks of trans-human and post-human madness.
We cannot disregard our organicity. We cannot disregard our subjectivity, either. Pluto is about transformation or domination – in other words, quoting a recent article of yours: “Here’s our future: hackers or slaves.”
We’ve got to go hacking not only in the objective sense – which surely becomes more and more a desirable skill – but in the subjective sense as well, finding lines of flight and keeping Eros alive, the life force in us vivid.John Day

The “asymptomatic spread” question is obfuscated bythe article above, which employs multiple definitions, mainly defined retrospectively.

What indeed does it mean that “a virus has been isolated”? A single bacterium can be seen under a microscope, simming in some saline, but it may be full of viruses, which are far tinier and do not have the ability to self replicate. They must infect a living cell and take over it’s replication machinery and subvert it to producing, then releasing viruses. They are little chain-letters.
Being so small, they are destroyed by taking a close look at them, like with electron microscopy. We’ve seen the pictures, and those viruses in them were isolated for the photograph that destroyed them as it confirmed that they had existed the moment before.
The SARS-CoV-2 viruses isolated can be subjected to reading of their RNA, which is done. You need a bunch of them, like from the swab of a really infected person who is just spewing them out. The first step in analyzing the RNA sequence is to destroy about a million of the viruses you just “isolated” and get a machine to read the thousand-billion little fragments of RNA, determining each fragment sequence and storing it in a comupter. All the fragments are then correlated by transposing their identical segments in the big-computer-memory database until you get a read of the code they all have in common, since they are identical (except the rare mutation, which is filtered out by the process if it just occurs in a couple of the sliced and diced nucleoside chains).
So, the one view is that all of the aspects of the virus have been determined after collecting a large sample of virions in isolation. The counter would be that only destroyed viral trash was looked at. “Show me the isolated virus that you say you have!” “Well, I could show you, but I’d have to destroy the virus to do so:, comes the answer. Fortunately, the armed forces of the great nations, as well as our shadowy puppet masters are generally more practical. They just hire scientists to make bioweapons and determine how to defend against what they just made. They just want results, not an irrefutable proof.John Day

Executive Summary:
The most relentlessly malefic mundane chart I have ever studied greets the incoming administration with a barrage of hostile aspects almost entirely unrelieved by favorable indications. The government can expect to be hammered by one crisis after another, with economic troubles, popular protests, and outbreaks of violence over the top of a spreading collapse of public support in the status quo that puts the entire structure of American governance in question. Whoever is inaugurated early next year will face a disastrous situation, and whoever becomes the next president thereafter is going to have a gargantuan mess to clean up...
It will be modified, of course, by the quarterly ingress charts, the influence of eclipses, and of course the Grand Mutation between Jupiter and Saturn, which announces the beginning of a new era in world history a month before the inauguration.

https://www.zerohedge.com/political/abrupt-halt-bidens-pentagon-transition-briefings-leaves-officials-stunned Successful viral mutations are rewarded with increased viral replication and spread.
Success typically hinges upon spreading more effectively and keeping your hosts in circulation, not killing them out of circulation.
Jumping hosts more readily is rewarded, but so is not making people so sick that they lie alone in bed.

https://theconversation.com/coronavirus-new-variant-genomics-researcher-answers-key-questions-152381I agree with this august medical scholar: Thanks Jeremy.
Dr. Tetsuo Nakayama, a project professor at Kitasato Institute for Life Sciences and director of the Japanese Society of Clinical Virology, says although the vaccines under development by Pfizer and Moderna successfully created antibodies in trials, there are still doubts about whether those antibodies remain a year or two after vaccination.
There are also underlying concerns about the vaccines’ safety over the long term. Judging from past precedents, their safety and effectiveness are not something that can be determined until at least a year after a massive number of vaccinations have been administered, experts say.
In a worst-case scenario, antibodies could worsen the disease by essentially helping the infection of cells — a phenomenon called antibody dependent enhancement (ADE) — rather than fighting the virus pathogens.
For example, a dengue fever vaccine made by Sanofi, based on a yellow fever vaccine embedded with a part of the dengue virus genome, at first appeared to be effective. But it caused the deaths of children who had been given the vaccination due to the ADE phenomenon.
“Concerns over ADE still remain. I am an elderly person myself, but if I were asked, I would say I don’t want to get a shot,” Nakayama said. “Not all of the 120 million people (in Japan) should get the vaccinations. Children, for example, would not need it because there’s scarcely any risk of severe cases.”

I include the Lavaca County Soil Report of 1905. (Yeah, “the cow” county). This is the county which contains my modest garden-homestead project. Yoakum is mentioned on the second page.
It took about 3 acres per cow or horse for grazing/haying on the GOOD soil, which is very good soil, and the rain was even better back then. There is a broad meme that only people raised farming can handle the rigors. That would be the immigrants from rural areas south of the Texas border.
I’m an R&D guy. I’m doing R&D. I get paid in Austin to take care of poor people, a short-lived-niche in this current historical moment. I’ll die when the machine breaks, but maybe not right away.
The soil report talks all about who farms where and who the sharecroppers are, and really illuminates the economy. It was never a slave economy in this part of Texas, but freedmen and recent immigrants were sharecropping and farming the poorer land in 1905.

ParticipantJohn Ward at The Slog has another insightful piece up. What lovely use of English!
They won’t take “No” for an answerIt does seem eternally odd, does it not, that the US judicial system seems happy to throw out Republican affidavits giving evidence of electoral fraud, but at the same time the US has a media set that suffixes every report on what President Trump says about it with “although he has no evidence to support his claims”….and the world anglosphere falls lamely into line.
It is truly Pythonic, with just a dash of Catch22: “We’re not going to review these affidavits because they’re worthless,” said the Ostriches, “so will you stop saying you were cheated, because you haven’t got any evidence – we know this, because we don’t need to look at it”.
My view is simple: it is entirely possible that Trump is lying his fat head off. But the common sense rejoinder to that pov is:
Why press ahead so vigorously with a case if (privately) you know it to be BS? And
If you the State know it to be BS, why not investigate every affidavit thoroughly and enumerate their lack of worth instance by instance?
In short, we have a plaintiff behaving like a guy who’s done his homework, and the State dismissing everything out of hand for fear of finding magic bullets flying backwards, and Presidential Heads exploding in the wrong direction.John Day

@Madamski, who said: “We seem to assume that 1970, or 1840, have been patiently waiting for us to come back to our senses and retrieve them from the past. It will take a decade or three just to raise enough livestock to make 1840 look plausible. How long it will take to rediscover lost techniques or devise new one is anyone’s guess, but I think it will take awhile.
In the interim between the post-modern neo-industrial paradigm crash, and the emergence of something new, stable, and tolerably liveable, I foresee extremely primitive conditions and accompanying behavior, the latter probably being the primary cause of the former.
As for a personal path: those who can should do something like you do. Most people can’t. My prescription, overall, is: be nice. Be kind and fair and decent to people. Even if it doesn’t save your tushie, it will help you die with a relatively clean conscience.
This ain’t no party and, thank god, no disco. It is, I regret to say, mostly us just fooling around.”
I caught the talking Heads doing this at The Armadillo World Headquarters before the mayor got rid of it to make room for developers. Uh, I forgot what I was going to say because I’m still listening to the song. It’ll play in my head for days now. Good choice, Sister!
The not being able to figure out a path for-all-of-us is the inherent problem, because it can’t be done. We, all together, are the distributed computing network that works this problem. Each of us has to practice novel problem solving, which might start pretty simply. Growing vegetables is way more work and complexity that one might assume. People bow out all the time. “I killed a cactus”, being the latest one I heard. I have come to the conclusion that all we can ALL do is start working on novel problems in the direction of using less stuff, using cash instead of cards, figuring out processes and products that can be reliable and last a long time, offering to help somebody, and so on. When we become a massive parallel processor, stuff happens differently. I think there is a different mind. It creates the unforeseeable, … as I foresee it.

ParticipantThis was adapted from a comment I made here yesterday .Buffed up. View From The Herd
“Head em up! Move em out!” https://www.johndayblog.com/2020/12/view-from-herd.htmlRawhide Extras,
I have found a Bill Gates CNN interview video that is not Twitter here:
https://www.marketwatch.com/story/bill-gates-on-the-next-few-months-of-the-coronavirus-pandemic-its-bad-news-11607893787
I admit I had not watched it, when I sent it yesterday, but now I have. My read of Mr Bill is that he should not play high stakes poker.
He is very pleased with himself numerous times in the interview, with a huge smile that he actually tries to suppress a few times to look appropriately serious.
Bill always smiles when speaking glowingly of his own prior predictions, now come true, and the efforts of his foundation and their allies, and of the failures of the Trump Administration. He is very careful in choosing his words to give them no credit at all.
Bill speaks glowingly of Biden and Fauci and all the big vaccines, and says he will take his shot in public, only when his turn comes.
He implies this is a massive, life-saving good, and he wants to be in the same line as the common people.
Bill says things will not be back to normal until 2022, but implies they may besomewhat better next summer.
Nothing about vitamin-D, though his comments seem to imply that he is taking it into account, summer, and winter pandemic waves, and all. Bill Gates reads like a fairly open-faced book if you know where he has been coming from for the last 15 years. I read something by him, about 15 years ago. He was fascinated with vaccines, including vaccines as birth control. Now he does not say that.
Bill sees the importance of reducing global human population to what global ecosystems can sustain.
My personal view of the population-utility of power elites is that they keep the human herd (me; you, our families) from completely destroying the means of food production, by helping us kill a lot of each other before that happens. Nobody who is not in the God-play-group likes people who play god.
They are a clear threat.
Bill Gates plays a very clever god, a smug and pleasant god, who deeply loves himself and invites all of us to do the same.
It will be best for all of us. God knows best. God has the big data, and the science.
God-Bill’s obvious point would be that the least painful form of population reduction is birth-reduction.
It’s less bad than war, pestilence, famine and death, but it does not exclude them.
Unfortunately, birth reduction alone might not be enough to do the whole population-reduction job. What might I suggest as a counter-offer?
I don’t play god. I also don’t eat critters, because I practice non-violence.
I am not a tyrant. I think that we should be past massive slaughter as a means of population control.
We are technologically and intellectually able to leave genocide behind.
We have not exactly found the societal disposition to leave it behind yet. What I suggest is our human strong point, distributed problem solving in small groups.
Nothing is assured, but it is what we, as a species, do best, and it is what has brought us to the point where we are about to extinct ourselves from success.
Going forward, we will have the severe and permanent decline in global oil, natural gas and coal, especially the cheap, easy and high quality stuff that the permanent-growth economy needs.
Energy and Economy have already begun their terminal decline, but the decline has been labeled ”COVID Pandemic”.
COVID has destroyed “demand” for the fuel and products that are now in decline, but we do not have to know that they are in permanent decline. “Back-to-normal” just keeps getting put off until later, while our owners work things out in THEIR smallish groups. The Davos-crowd/World Economic Forum clan may be as smug and self-satisfied as Mr Gates looks in the video, though they are not all doing as well as the prescient Mr Gates today. At least they can look forward to the imminent destruction of their nationalist rivals.
That will free them up to work out one, big, good solution for all of humanity, and put it into action.
The Global Reset is a work in progress, but they and their best experts are on it. They are all over it. I must disclose that what I advocate is not laid out at all, but the potential strength of it lies in customizing adaptations to specific locations and cultures and groups, like towns and churches and employee-owned-enterprises, for instance.
Just everybody does their homework in small groups for 30 years.
That’s my suggestion. It’s just what people always did to survive.
I’m doing my homework. My health remains good at 62. The supply lines are breaking globally. Merry Christmas.
More and more things are out of stock. Noticed that?
It’s time to invest, not to consume.
Invest in what you need to survive, not in New York (if I may be so bold) nor Phoenix, not in an isolated bunker. We need each other.
Risks involve a lot of uncertainty, and an ideal situation in 2-3 years might be terrible in 12-13 years.
We are renting a little half duplex from my Mom, in Austin, where we both work. The weather here won’t kill you, even without utilities.
We have paid off the gardening “homestead” in Yoakum, population 6000, with a rail line, and a mixed economy. Cattle ranching and farming persist.
Eagle Ford shale fracking went black. That’s ok for the moment. What’s next?
It’s a 2 hour drive each way. We spend weekends working in Yoakum, and weekdays working our paid jobs.
When will we have to choose one or the other? When will we have to stop driving four hours each weekend?
The country used a lot less gasoline in the 1970s, but there were long gas lines, and alternate-day filling laws.
When will supply-destruction become apparent?
Charles Hugh Smith assesses that going forward into volatility: https://www.oftwominds.com/blogdec20/gasoline12-20.htmlWith supply destruction as a limiter, you can’t buy what you need, and prices shoot up into hyperinflation. They sure will this time.
We will experience stagflation again; hyper-stag-flation… We will be insecure and frustrated.
Can you learn to grow some of your food?
Mainly, it gives you a comprehension of how difficult and uncertain it is, but you also develop skills and expertise.
Perspective. Working-knowledge. Actual experience.
Look to how you might survive for a month if the utilities go out. Grocery store utilities will be out, too.
Gas pumps need electricity. Utilities need electricity. Phone systems need electricity.
I’m not being extreme. The God-play-group will have to sacrifice billions of us, somewhat arbitrarily, at some time.
The birth-control-surprise cannot work fast enough to deal with the absolute decline that factory farming will go though in 10-20 years.
You may think my timeline is wrong. It might be. Some failures are bound to come sooner; some later. Physically preparing as much as you can, not just thinking, is better than not preparing.
Do have a sensible, multi-purpose bike, and some spare tubes, tires, parts, grease and tools.
Ride it at least every other day.Wheeled Bovine

His sin was to stop the extraction racket the globalists had going AND not pay massive bribes like China did. -
