V. Arnold:. Re-Iran. The reason the people of Iran are getting hit so hard by the coronavirus is simply because of the attitude of their religious leaders.
Iran will be a country where the majority of the people will get infected. Sad.
The numbers of coronavirus in Canada and US will explode as more test kits become available.
In Canada, the health officials have only allowed people who travelled to eight countries and are ill to be tested.
Only now are they admitting they “may” need to start testing for community spread. But it is just talk for now.
Most Canadians think they can just walk into a hospital and get results in 1 hour, if they want, thanks to the media spread gov propaganda.
In Canada the media doesn’t bite the government hand that feeds them.
I noticed oil prices have suddenly taken a dive to about $40.
I don’t think OPEC liked it when Russia said no!
Dr. D. Rich:. Talking about cruise ships, today one of Canada’s health officials, said they would really encourage Canadians to think twice about taking a cruise! Rare honesty!
Especially since passengers could easily get quarantined in some 3rd world country and there would be nothing they could do for them.
Bosco:. Another thing I remember was the authorities put purple dye in the gas farmers used to try and prevent them from selling gas on the black market.
The police would check your vehicle’s gas tank to see if there was any purple dye in it!
My other Grandfather, living in Ontario, was a farmer so he got purple dyed gas for the farm. What used to really piss him off were the people who would come around at night to steal the gas from his car because it wasn’t purple gas.
For his car, he of course had to get by just like everybody else using their gas ration coupons. I believe he then greatly increased the number of farm dogs but even that didn’t stop the problem! I think the thieves just fed the dogs!

The reason I know this is my Grandfather, who lived in Meota, Saskatchewan, had an old car that he could not afford to keep running.
One day a man came around and asked if he could buy the four tires! Grandpa said yes, but only if he bought the whole car!
My Dad said the guy didn’t dither for one second, paying Grandpa his price, cash on the spot! Clearly he was running booze and needed the tires!
Bosco:. To be honest, many Republicans expressed concerns back in January. I remember the big up roar from the Democrats and media when President Trump stopped direct flights from China! They were more concerned about hurting China’s feelings than the safety of their fellow countrymen!
I suspect saying anything about the coronavirus back then, just made one feel unwelcome. So you just learn to keep your worries to yourself.
The media are experts of seemlessly switching their positions 180 degrees and anointing blame!

Of course we have already seen lots of bits and pieces of the coronavirus story here on the TAE, so this isn’t a complete surprise to us. Since we are older, we have more than a passing interest!
But for many people, they are still in total denial.
Some it is just a flu, so no big deal! Some still believe it affects only Asians. Last time I looked, Italians and Iranians don’t look very Asian to me and hundreds of them have already died!

However Iran really takes the cake for it’s true 3 monkeys approach! They just announced that 40% of Tehran’s 12 million population will have the flu in 2 weeks! Probably the only true thing they have said in decades!
With Iranians dropping dead like flies, their religious leaders are too busy praying to Allah.
P.S. One day while driving on the main highway in Morocco, between Marrakesh and Casablanca, I saw an old man riding on a donkey. Just before the donkey stepped out onto the highway, right in front of me, I saw him lift his head to the sky, probably saying “Praise to Allah”.
Never once did the man look either way to see if any traffic was coming on the highway! He was quite content to leave the driving to his donkey, which never lifted it’s head, but steadily kept on walking across the Sahara desert, highway be dammed!
Yes, I had to stop from going 100 km/hr to avoid hitting him and his donkey! Despite my screeching brakes, he never once glanced at me!
That is the mentality of the people running Iran!

I remember when he stopped the flights from China, the big uproar of indigination from all the Democrats in congress and media.
Were the CDC people deliberately sitting on their hands as instructed by the Democrats????
It sure looks like it! Obviously the CDC did nothing to prepare for this coronavirus!
Pointing the finger at the one man who has been fighting the deep state tooth and nail since the day he arrived, just seems far too easy. The blame game sure as hell doesn’t help a single person.

The bananas displayed were the original more tasty Gros Michel bananas that got wiped out in the 1950s by the Panama disease or banana wilt.
Today we eat the Cavendish banana which is resistant to the Panama disease.
However, a new worse fungus has developed that attacks Cavendish bananas and many other banana varieties.
I think we in the west are now entering the exponential phase of the coronavirus.
Cases doubling or tripling every day now.
In Canada and the US we are still limited to just a few hundred tests per day.

As a kid, they used to take a new carefully unwrapped soap wrapper, remove the soap, and then insert horse dung into said soap wrapper, rewrap, and then leave it at someone’s door for discovery!

Dr. D. :. Another thing health officials are doing up here in Canada, is after someone tests positive, and is sent home to self quarantine, is they are contacting possible contacts and asking these people to self monitor, and if they get sick to self quarantine.
Again very little testing is being done. Obviously hiding the lack of test kits.
V Arnold:. If you ignore what governments say, and just watch what they do, you can develop your own answer as to whether this coronavirus is serious or not.
Dr. D.:. Up here in Canada all they are doing is testing, then sending everyone home to self quarantine.
Nobody is being admitted to the hospitals.
What I do find very strange is the lack of test kits.

There does seem to be a battle royal going on about where the virus started!
VietnamVet:. I have read that the normal flu builds up in the fall, peaks in winter, then declines in spring.
The thinking is the rising sun angles increases the UVL which helps to kill viruses. The warmer weather brings people outdoors more increasing the vitamin D in their skin from the increased UVL exposure.
Also higher moisture in the warmer summer air helps the mucus in our noses do a better job of filtering the air, compared to the dryer winter air.
I don’t know if warmer temperatures hurt viruses or not.
I am guessing the authorities are hoping to delay the spread of coronavirus until spring arrives.

The Chinese authors talk in rather vague terms about human interventions playing a role in the selective prevalence of the “S” and “L” types. This means they were not at liberty to say exactly what human intervention.
Sounds like we humans, despite good intentions, somehow just made matters worst!
I am just guessing having 5 million people from Wuhan travel for lunar New Year was the perfect storm to spread the “L” type.
I did see a world map showing the travel destinations for 60,000 Wuhan travellers. They went to all corners of the world! The rest is history in the making.i

In other words, the coronavirus has gone from bad to worst?

The globalist strive for one world government and will not hesitate to use the coronavirus to ruthlessly implement their agenda. This would be the worst type of response! Big brother is not going to save you! He wants you to trade your freedom for false security where you end up with neither!
The best response to coronavirus is a local community response! Only locals know their community and the people living within it. They will respond in the practical and effective manner. Then you get to keep you freedom and security!

CDC now hoping some private company will provide test kits!
No private companies were prepared to provide test kits because CDC had monopoly on test kits!
Given enough time, private companies will rescue the CDC from its own ineptitude!

I think the total lack of coronavirus testing relates directly to not having any test kits available in Canada and the US.
As usual it is the three monkeys in action or lack thereof.
Whether we had 1 or 1000 health officials, the result would still be the same!

When I was in high school, taking electrical lab, I made the mistake of labelling one of my electrical graphs, “graft”! My wise Quebec teacher circled the word “graft” in red and in the margin wrote “Quebec’s favorite indoor sport!”
Since then, I have never confused the use of these two words, graft/graph!

This is the DNC’s theatre production and Bernie is just one of the 20 or so political actors hired to perform in staging this public spectacle!
First, notice Bernie isn’t complaining! He never complains!
Each actor is paid by allowing them legally divert 15% of all campaign contributions to themselves. That is why they can afford to have such a big cast!
Notice the DNC is now starting to kill off more members of the cast! Just like TV actors getting voted off the island!
Now we wait to see who the DNC director’s real nominee will be!

Speaking of kangaroos, in 1981/2, I was driving around in NSW and Queensland, an Australian made Holden car, adorned in the front with “good for one roo” plastic kangaroo bars! Thankfully I never hit a big red!
My parents said know:. In a prior life, I used to work for a company that made the machines and molds used to make many of these plastic water bottles worldwide.
Supposedly, after making the plastic bottles, the bottles are supposed to be left to sit for a week to let the remaining gases escape.
It used to amuse me to no end, when I would over hear other company service reps say they would never drink water out of a plastic bottle, if they could help it! They thought tap water was likely safer!
