In Canada, Ottawa health officials have clearly given up! They don’t want to admit they are not prepared nor have any test kits available. They are recommending people just self quarantine themselves!
I see California has over 8,000 people supposedly self quarantining themselves! Again nobody is being tested! Again no stoppage of international airline flights just like Canada!
I saw that Iran’s deputy health minister has the virus! Iran traced their out break to an Iranian merchant evading direct travel restrictions by travelling via 3rd countries to China and back. He died, so they can’t shoot him!

It is all about restoring their corrupt $5.8 million per year kickbacks from the US Chamber of Commerce that they are no longer getting since Trump was elected!
One of the reasons I am so suspicious of Trudope and Canadian health officials is that Trudope coordinates and co-operates very closely with members of Congress, especially the house speaker, Nancy! Canada still has not ratified the trade agreement yet, waiting on instructions from Nancy! Trudope would very dearly like Trump gone!

The coronavirus hitting Iran is really bad news.
Iran has a far weaker medical system than say China does.
The coronavirus will run its course in Iran.

Wuhan, a city of well over 10 million people is 1% of China! Since the entire province of 58.5 million (or about 5%) is in total lockdown, 1% is just the starting point!
As a economist, surely you can do better than 1%! Try counting your fingers!

Doc Robinson:. Not sure how you came up with 9% death rate but it agrees with my rough rule of thumb.
My rough rule of thumb is:. We know about half of the 18% who catch the virus need serious medical intervention to survive. The other half of the 18% die. That means 9% will die.
We also know some of the cremators in Wuhan have stopped working due to over use! Since most of the people in Wuhan who need medical help are being denied help, the death rate could easily be closer to 18%. That would be up to 18,000 deaths per 100,000 infections!
Based upon Korea’s numbers, China likely has over 1,000,000 infected people or up to 180,000 dead. Not pretty.

Trudope can’t even get a handle on a small bunch of natives blockading railroads in Canada over a gas pipeline being built in BC, never mind find time to worry about a virus! Well over a 1,000 Canadians have been laid off so far as a result of Trudope not wanting to hurt protester’s feelings!
The local paper showed a carton with the parlament buildings with this “Hi everybody! I’m back from my UN Security Council Seat schmoozing world tour … Anything happen while I was away?”

Russia has now closed their land borders too.
I grew up during the cold war. We lived in northern Labrador/Quebec and we had a DEW radar station nearby. As a kid I remember a B-52 bomber coming in low over the town testing the DEW station’s radar readiness. Awesome sight!
So naturally we were raised to be afraid of the big bad Russians!
Later while working as a service engineer for a Milwaukee mining equipment manufacturer, I spent 6 months living and working in a Siberian coal mine in 1983.
Going to Siberia was like stepping back in time to maybe 1930s to 1940s!
The Russians were still using churn drills something we ditched before 1950! Bulldozers still used cable pulleys to raise and lower their blades! Russian mining equipment had availability well below 50%! 150 ton sized cranes could only lift 25 tons! Whole rows of Russian made mining trucks never moved because they didn’t work! They parked them so the CIA could count them!
To say I was shocked, is an understatement!
By living in Siberia I soon found that everyday consumer items were in short supply! Grocery store shelves were always bare! I remember some expanded cans of fish that nobody would touch!
One day, determined to buy something Russian, I bought a plastic thermos! Well that was quite the adventure! First nothing fitted together quite right! The cup at the top won’t thread on at all! The stopper at the top wouldn’t keep the liquid inside from leaking out if put on it’s side! Actually it was made so horribly that it was comical!
In Russia, quality was non-existent! I soon discovered that went for everything made in Russia including their mining equipment!
This was all due to the communist’s quota system! Everybody had a monthly quota to meet! If you were making shoes, and had no shoe laces, you shipped the shoes anyway to meet your end of month quota! So shoe boxes with 2 left shoes wasn’t uncommon. Did you buy them, hoping next month you would get 2 right shoes?
Bottom line is I realized the Russian communists could produce guns but no butter! So when I left Russia, I was no longer afraid of the big bad Russians!
First of all there are 2 Americans for every Russian! So how can these poor Russians be hiding behind every tree? How can they be responsible for everything happening in America? They simply can’t! They have enough of their own troubles to be bothered with America’s problems!
So now, whenever the deep state bring out the Russian bogeyman, I just laugh! Oh, look! A squirrel!

As for rushing to sentence Stone, Jackson wanted to ensure Stone lost 3 basic legal rights, making it more difficult for Stone’s lawyers to defend him going forward.
Jackson, like Judge Sullivan for Flynn, ruled to minimize Stone’s legal rights.
Hardly the actions of a judge wanting to conduct a fair trial!

I hope everybody has noticed that we are no longer hearing as much about the coronavirus as we were just a few days ago?
That is because China sent their top security person to Wuhan! Now we are no longer being annoyed by stories about people dying in Wuhan!
By next week we will have completely forgotten about the virus!

As near as I can figure mini Mike Bloomberg is running so he can do an end run around Democrat party rules on campaign financing. By running he can spend as much of his own money as he likes!

After reading a bit more on the so called quarantine of the Diamond Princess, I can see many reasons why this quarantine helped spread the coronavirus instead of containing it! None of the ship’s crew were quarantined! They continued to share quarters and work together! Passengers in on balcony rooms continued to walk the decks everyday! Then there is the common air conditioning system! All of this ensured that the virus continued to spread! Oh well, live and learn the hard way!
The only way to stop the virus spread on this ship is to remove passengers and quarantine them in smaller groups spread out so that they are truly quarantined!
Yesterday, I finally learned the real reason why the Allies used over 1000 bombers to totally bomb and fire bomb the city of Dresden, which is located directly south of Berlin in south eastern Germany.
First, I had not realized that Dresden was so far east in Germany, thinking it was more in western Germany.
Once I had Dresden properly located, I then suddenly understood for the first time that the Allies were really sending a very strong message to Stalin and his advancing Red army! And the message wasn’t, keep up the good work boys!
It had nothing to do with what the people of Dresden had done in the war to deserve this! They just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time! I am sure the Russian army was quite shocked at the total destruction they saw when they first entered Dresden!
I also discovered a second reason the US dropped two atomic bombs on Japan. Again it had nothing to do with what those poor Japanese in those two hapless cities did!
Again, it was to send an even stronger message to Stalin and his armies then sweeping through Manchuria and Korea. Hence South Korea and the 38th parallel north! This time Stalin was shocked.
Would the victims of these 3 cities feel any better knowing the real reason why they had to die? Sadly, I suspect the opposite.
Dr. D:. To the best of my knowledge, in the 30 or so countries I have been in, nobody I ever met trusted their government!!!! That seems to be a universal truth!
I think one could safely extend that mistrust to world government organizations like the UN and WHO, and to the media too!

What really worries me are the lack of testing kits available and the need to test people repeatedly not once!
The so called airport screening efforts are a joke! They only catch the already sick not any of the carriers!
The reason AG Barr is letting all the deep state actors go Scot free is he is more concerned about protecting the corrupt DoJ and the FBI!
And the reason Barr has appointed an outside prosecutor for Flynn is deny Flynn his legal rights! This move severely restricts the legal room Flynn lawyer Sidney Powel has to defend Flynn. LThis move follows up upon what Judge Sullivan’s last ruling did to strip Flynn of more of his rights.
Flynn is now in a very bad position which is likely to get even worst!
Likely Flynn will now be charged with additional crimes to offset letting McCabe go Scot free. People are basically saying they were both charged with lying! By charging Flynn with some differently crimes then they can justify jailing Flynn.
I see you finally noticed that Japan hasn’t been able to test even a third of the people on the Diamond Princess!
It is only a matter of days before 355 climbs over 500!
Canada is finally removing passengers from the ship after the US shamed Trudope into action!
