I read that the Secretary of Defense is expected to announce mandatory vax for all military. Originally, they were going to wait on full FDA approval which now expected by labor day. This would likely to coincide with the case peak for the delta variant.

According to WSJ yesterday, full FDA approval within a few months. Certainly lines up with Fauci’s comments a few weeks ago.
He agrees with the White House and President Biden himself, saying vaccination mandates should be the next step. “I have been of this opinion, and I remain of that opinion, that I do believe at the local level, Jake, there should be more mandates,” Fauci told host Jake Tapper. “There really should be.”
As a result, the NIAID director says the solution to vaccine hesitancy is official approval from the Food and Drug Administration. “One of the things that will happen, and I think the hesitancy at the local level of doing mandates is because the vaccines have not been officially fully approved,” Fauci said. “But people need to understand that the amount of data right now that shows a high degree of effectiveness and a high degree of safety is more than we’ve ever seen with the emergency use authorization, so these vaccines are as good as officially approved with all the I’s dotted and T’s crossed. Prior to the March 27th (Injection kick-off), Bhutan was not experiencing any community spread of Covid. Between 3/27 and 4/8 they managed to inject 93% of eligible adults with there 1st dose. Every since they have had community spread of Covid. They recently jabbed their adult population with their 2nd dose. Now they have their eyes set on the youth, all in an effort to achieve herd immunity. Ironically, they may have achieved that before the shots were rolled out.

My favorite was Choo Choo Cherry. This always left a cherry colored “Got Milk” smile on my upper lip. After a bit, my friends stated calling Choo Choo…eventually Chooch for short. Originally, this drink mix was called Chinese Cherry. Fortunately for me, I didn’t start drinking it until after the name change otherwise I might have been nicknamed “Chink”. Unfortunately though, the Calcium cyclamate left an indelible smile on my upper lip and sometimes the meanies tease me and call me Joker.

Long time lurker but given the ADE theme I thought this might be of interest to the community (if it hasn’t already been commented on). This news segment is from New South Wales, Australia. First the Premier speaks followed by the chief health officer, Jeremy MacNulty. There is some Q&A with reporters at the end. At the 6:35 mark Jeremy indicates that those that have been hospitalized “All but one was vaccinated”.

So, the only pre-existing condition for the 30 year old that died would have been that she was vaccinated.
Also, you have young people in the ICU that most likely would have faired much better had not gotten the shot.
Interestingly, the reporters failed to circle back on this.
