looks like the situation where the news organization combs the world for a story that fits its preferred narrative

This website, and this comment section, is based on this model.

You do see that, don’t you?

“If there is one post that completely represents the stark contrast between the anti-vaxxer fantasy conspiracy theories and the reality of medical intensive care, it is this post. On one hand we have Brandon, who as you’ll see is one of the biggest conspiracy nuts we’ve had on this site, and on the other hand is his wife, Wendy, who has to deal with the pain, worry, and anguish of his illness. Wendy writes out her feelings and all of the details of everything she is dealing with, and does so with brutal honesty combined with grace.”

Dr. Carrie Madej? You actually get your info from Dr. Carrie Madej?

    Your BS detector is broken.

“Madej describes herself as an osteopathic doctor and a “child of God and a believer in Jesus Christ.” She’s also a QAnon believer who questions why COVID-19 has been a bigger story than what she describes as a “global elite pedophile ring” and reposts byzantine diagrams supposedly revealing Bill Gates as the mastermind behind the global pandemic.

This past summer, she was convinced that a long-debunked website advertising the “Cannibal Club” restaurant in Los Angeles was in fact a real eatery serving human flesh. “We ‘taste like pork,’” she tweeted. “Dear God—help us change this world for the better!””

It’s time to ignore @deflationista again. Mr ( Ms ?) distraction seeks to deflect.

Distracting from what? Your unreliable narrative? People post shit about Yeadon or Bhakdi, as if what they say is beyond reproach- most just assuming what they say is truth. I come along, see the glorious praise being heaped upon these less than reputable names, my baloney radar kicks into gear, and I do a simple google search. I find that I am not the only person on the planet who also senses the BS steaming from these men.

People here post links that feature these men and go on to develop whole narratives based on easily debunked premises and claims. Fear induced perspectives are assumed to be true, only, as far as I can tell, because these people say exactly what you want to hear.

The article and video I posted are provided, not because I am distracting you, but because you seem to be willing to ignore more than half the reality. You all claim to be truth seekers, but I guess that only applies to things that don’t tickle your bias. If you applied even one ounce of effort to verify claims made by these men, I am guessing that you might not blindly believe everything, or maybe anything they say.

    That’s your choice.

You are like the child in elementary school who sits behind you and flicks your ear and when you turn around and ask them to stop they pretend they have no idea what you’re talking about. Time is not on your side, you’ve had two years for all of us to die and prove your beliefs right and we’re still here. The window has closed on your narrative, time to start rethinking your position.

Your take on me is about as reliable as your take on reality.

You don’t know what you don’t know. This article might help some of you with that:

    https://quillette.com/2021/01/16/rise-of-the-coronavirus-cranks/

“The claims made by Cummins, Yeadon, and other supposed authorities are demonstrably nonsensical and yet they are eagerly lapped up by an army of social media disciples who have adopted the yellow smiley face as a badge of their scepticism. The smiley symbol is supposed to represent optimism in the face of adversity, but instead it makes the whole movement look decidedly cultish, creepy, and faceless, like the children in John Wyndham’s Village of the Damned. This disconcerting impression is reinforced by their tendency to say exactly the same things over and over again. Misleading graphs and blatantly doctored images are circulated with abandon, spreading far beyond the hub of hardcore believers and planting doubt in the minds of normal people.

Doubt is at the heart of this phenomenon, and it is being unscrupulously exploited. Can we prove that every death attributed to COVID-19 was caused by COVID-19? No. Some of them almost certainly weren’t. How many deaths were caused by lockdown? No one knows. Has the government ever specified precisely what the false positive rate is? No. Can we prove beyond doubt that the decline in case numbers seen around the world shortly after lockdowns were introduced would not have taken place anyway? No. How could we?

Some data simply don’t exist. Definite proof is only to be found in mathematics. In life, as in court, you can only exclude reasonable doubt. Those who cling to unreasonable doubts cannot be persuaded by facts or logic. The smiley crowd are persistent in asking questions about trivial issues for which there are no definitive answers, but have no answer to the most fundamental questions asked of them in return. Smileys generally won’t spell out the conclusion that their “scepticism” leads them to because they know how contemptibly stupid it would sound, but the scenario must go something like this:

A virus that has killed millions of people, including 50,000 in Britain last spring, suddenly disappeared, and so the government approved a highly inaccurate diagnostic test to keep the panic going because Boris Johnson has always wanted the public to wear face masks or something. Very few people actually have SARS-CoV-2 and even according to the official figures only two per cent have it at the moment. As luck would have it, a hugely disproportionate number of them happen to be admitted to hospital and die from something else, thereby producing scary death counts which are corroborated by corrupt doctors.

Another stroke of luck for the government is that last year happened to have the largest number of excess deaths since 1940. This could be due to lockdown deaths, whatever they are, or some other epidemic unrelated to the coronavirus. Have you noticed how few flu deaths there are this year? Bit suspicious, isn’t it? One possibility is that despite a drastic reduction in air travel and an unprecedented amount of social distancing, hand-washing, mask-wearing, and self-isolation, Britain is suffering from an exceptionally severe flu season, with flu deaths being wrongly classified as COVID-19 deaths by corrupt and/or incompetent doctors.

Pretty far-fetched, isn’t it? And that’s before we get to the theories about Bill Gates and the Chinese Communist Party that are on the lunatic fringes even in the smiley universe.”

Either reframe your question or drop the subject.

Is that a threat? Who are you, the hall monitor?

Since you seem unable to follow along, let me “dumb” it down for you.

    Raul said:

“For a “disease” that is 100x less deadly than Alpha or Delta, during which 99.97% already survived. Or even less deadly than the flu”

He uses the wrong denominator in that calculation. Do you know what a denominator is? Do you think it would be wise to use the correct one when determining survival rate of a pandemic? Do you understand that dividing deaths by total populations is a sort of denial trick used by the anti-vax crowd? To use the largest possible denominator to make the death toll look rather insignificant is a bit misleading, don’t you think?

Essentially, Raul, and all the other people spreading that BS figure around, include people who have never contracted covid into their calculation. So, that is why I asked “if I never had covid, did I survive covid?”.

Divide deaths by the number of cases, not by entire populations of people who may or may not have had the virus. Then get back to me.

    Capisce?

      still

have the blog host using the wrong denominator and suggesting that this is less deadly than the flu.

Robert Malone MD is “an” originator/developer of mRNA therapeutics, not “the” developer.
I stand corrected on that statement

He is “the developer without a conflict of interest” as he explains.

On his own twitter account bio, he referred to himself as “The inventor of mRNA vaccines and RNA as a drug, Bench to Bedside vaccines and biologics consulting.”

    You can see it here:
