upstateNYerParticipant
@oxy: interesting link. Thank you.
upstateNYerParticipant@TAE Summary: excellent!!!
upstateNYerParticipant@madam: you are correct, my ego got involved in my comment (apparently it reached out and took a bite and I was tardy in scolding it). I realized that as soon as I posted but didn’t attempt an edit. I am sorry. It was unfair.
upstateNYerParticipantThe rent and foreclosure mess will take a long time to work out. I think it will be so low key and long term most of us won’t notice how it happens. WES offered some ideas as to why that’s the case. They can’t allow mass eviction due to rent and foreclosure. They already did that once so it ain’t in the cards this time around because the common folk will pick up on it and there could be a backlash. That’s why it’s being pushed into the shadows for now. For all those who didn’t pay their rent and mortgage over the past 18 months? Hats off!! Y’all win, at least in the short term. π
upstateNYerParticipantBut in a barter situation, is stout or ethanol more valuable? (asking for a friend π )
upstateNYerParticipantGolly I need to go eat dinner, I really do, but thank you, WES, for mentioning how masks interfere with verbal communication. I’m not hard of hearing but know that masks freaking suck when communicating. We all read lips and facial expressions. All of us. On top of that, we idiots put plexiglass (NY anyhow) in the way that makes hearing what anyone says even more difficult. Can’t imagine what it must be like for those who don’t hear well. π
My sincere apologies for this nonsense to, idk, everyone? We messed up. All of us. We need to fix it in whatever way we can. Phoenix did that in her recent consulting gig. Let’s all keep doing that.
I, for one, will not put a mask on in a store again, even when the delta variant (is that the latest scary?) goes full hyper. I absolutely REFUSE. And I live in NY. It sucks here.
Hold the line, guys. Sounds like a cliche, but there is a basic truth in most cliches, isn’t there?
upstateNYerParticipant@phoenix: You ROCK!! (I’m not good at what’s currently in style – is that more apropos to your original comment?) Anyhow, YAY YOU! That’s the way to do it. π Darn, you made my night.
upstateNYerParticipant@phoenix: You GO!! Agree 100,000%. π Thank you for sharing.
upstateNYerParticipant@WES: “Saw were Florida teacherβs union said they control what happens in the schools, not the governor nor the parents of the kids!”
I saw that earlier today, too. I think some of these groups that feel they have power need to be careful. They are pushing it too far and may find themselves swinging in the air when the scales have shifted because people step up and take back control.
I mentioned once before on here, don’t expect the US to “turn on a dime” like other countries because it is huge and turning it is like turning a big ship – takes time. Once it starts, though, better watch out. It won’t be pretty.
upstateNYerParticipantJust did a “refresh” and realized madam responded to Dr D’s comment before I did. My apologies. However, the remainder of my comment still stands. Try being a bit nicer, madam. There is no need to criticize everyone. It reeks of ego and indicates insecurity.
@Vietnam Vet: “If you are unvaccinated … Anyone can transmit the virus to you … If you must go out in the public, each encounter is playing Russian Roulette.”
If you say so. But to each their own. I go out in public most days. No mask. Yes, I am *at risk*. I simply don’t care anymore. I’d rather live before dying.
upstateNYerParticipant@Doc Robinson: you’re an inspiration, truly you are. But what a gobbledygook of stats that is. It’s late now so going to go eat dinner. Will look at this tomorrow.
But, seriously, we didn’t bother to record race/ethnicity on 37% of vaccinated people? Having worked in nonprofit for almost 3 decades, we little guys would never have gotten away with this level of incompetence if we wanted to continue to receive gov’t funding. Wtf.
upstateNYerParticipantDr D: “For the discussion, a) obviously, and people are just asking cafone to back up a little and be aware of room for others.”
Welll … that’s not entirely accurate, is it?
There’s been name calling, inference that madam is a plant controlling the conversation, comments that off-topic posts are not welcome, etc. Don’t see where that type of thing necessarily equates with “asking for space”? If people want more space they should ask for it. No beating around the bush needed. No??
One thing I will [bluntly] ask madam to do in the future is … provide input without criticizing the commenter you are responding to. Sorry, dudette, but you can be super critical of other perspectives. I enjoy and appreciate a lot of the posts on here. When you constantly dis others, I constantly can’t be bothered to read your posts.
If you can post without criticism of others you may find you get a different vibe from this board.
upstateNYerParticipant@michael: keep brewing stout. If the chips are down, you can barter that for just about anything you need.
I’m also stockpiling alcohol now. What can I say? π
upstateNYerParticipantRe: “the air smells funny”
Yup. Tripling down on stockpiling and prep.
upstateNYerParticipantBtw, I think the vaccinated are already starting to have health problems. It’s hidden. I was texting with a friend last night whose mother in law has been having trouble breathing lately so had a PET scan this past week. Results show something on the lung. They’re thinking lymphoma so are going to do a biopsy.
Mouthy me asked, was she vaccinated? (dumb and risky, I don’t recommend this approach). Response was “Yes”. I mentioned, perhaps, the option of doing a D-dimer test to evaluate potential blood clotting prior to doing an invasive biopsy.
Yes, the mother in law is a senior. Maybe this problem has nothing to do with her vaccination. But no one will ever know because no one will look. How many people like this exist right now? How many will surface over the coming months? How will we ever know anything about any of this?
I have to say, I was pretty disheartened last night as I started counting in my head all the vaccinated friends and family I have.
upstateNYerParticipant@Dr D … turning my keyboard upside down now … will report back.
upstateNYerParticipantI’m late to the conversation, been busy today, but there is a decent-sized crop of interesting, insightful and downright humorous comments posted here. Like this one …
@darned kids: “iβve been saying βMeanwhile, in Swedenβ¦β to myself EVERY DAY FOR THE LAST 17,353,498 HOURS OF DUMPDOWN, LUMPDOWN, DROWNDOWN AND CRAPDOWN** imposed on us prolitos, βlittle prolesβ, by the sociopathists*** who have chosen themselves to be our leaders”
I’ve not done the math so don’t know if the hours are correct, but the “DUMPDOWN, LUMPDOWN, DROWNDOWN AND CRAPDOWN” part of that comment is freakin’ hilarious. π
upstateNYerParticipant@willem: “Amazing foresight by Van Gogh, who knew exactly what AOC looked like before she was even born!”
I went back and took another look at the Van Gogh after reading your comment. omg – you are correct! It is uncanny. lol
upstateNYerParticipant@darned kids: off topic … how the heck do you do the upside down question marks?
upstateNYerParticipantA question related to the *suggestions* that have been made over the past few days for improving/clarifying TAE Summary’s recent post. TAE Summary’s posts are positively brilliant. They are a bit tongue-in-cheek and don’t seem to be intended to be taken as the all-encompassing summary of “all that is.”
I can’t imagine offering even a little, er, positive criticism of TAE Summary since I couldn’t come close to one of those posts if I tried. For hours. Or days, probably.
I’m wondering why we seem to be getting a bit snarly around here of late? We have several insightful and sensitive commenters on here … your ideas on that??
upstateNYerParticipant@darned kids … now, now … you rational logical analytical logistical rationalist … just what is it you are implying with that “recall” comment you posted? /sarc
upstateNYerParticipant@sus: PS … “and the rest of the cast, make this a true reflection of LIFE and a daily destination worth exploring. The formula is working, let it be.”
Beautifully stated. Also, thank you for the St Francis prayer. It’s a copy/paste for me. Very appreciated.
upstateNYerParticipant@susmarie: thank you for more info on olbermann. MANY of us protested against the bombing of Iraq. I admit I cried when the first images were broadcast on TV, thinking “omg, what are we doing?” You are correct, the “will of the people did not/never mattered.” Just like now in this situation. π
And for that reason … I don’t believe the poll numbers we see that state *many* people believe we should mask forever and force vax everyone. Are there some people who believe that? Yes. But not the majority, and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if some of those being polled give BS answers in defiance of the poll itself.
upstateNYerParticipant@Mister: thank you for providing details on olbermann. SO sorry I missed him. π
upstateNYerParticipant@Mister, thank you for the link to the johnstone post (I don’t know who Keith Olbermann is, don’t watch much TV, but it doesn’t really matter who he is, does it)
upstateNYerParticipantI’ll drop my thoughts here on the madam tribunal, though I’m not inviting debate with this and won’t respond to responses debating it. Simply making a personal observation that is maybe worthy of consideration. Maybe not. Of no consequence in my personal life so I don’t care.
Although this is Raul’s blog and he has every right to moderate and censor comments, he doesn’t. Raul, in fact, frequently provides links to stories that condemn censoring of any sort.
If you don’t like someone’s comments, don’t read them. IF madam posts too many comments for your taste, don’t read them and don’t respond. No one can “hijack” a board if you don’t read their comments and respond. Your participation in that conversation directly feeds the so-called hijack.
As @Dr D commented above: βwho wouldnβt want to ban the Oath Keepers or Proud Boys?β ….
Aaaaand weβre already way over the line. In purity test.Indeed. And what’s next?
Veracious is too “woo woo” because he shared a personal NDE?
Dr D sometimes sounds “racist”?
WES’s stories of his time in Russia are “misinformation”?
John Day is sharing info on unapproved treatments? (don’t roll your eyes – admit to yourself it could happen, even here)I won’t *vote* either a) or b)
I *vote* that we leave each to their own and stfu about it.
upstateNYerParticipant@John Day: you’re doing a fine job through this mess. Providing non-approved medical treatment to save lives, sharing info with others, growing veggies to feed yourselves and others. The rest of us are still working on it. π
upstateNYerParticipantAlso, @russell: “The salaried class of today are the delusional elite and as you say they are easily bought off but there is less and less of them every day.”
Yup. Along the lines of the comment I posted earlier today. The collapse is happening, moving ever inward. More and more parts of the population are engulfed. What’s that saying I remember from church services as a child? Oh, right … “as it was and ever shall be, world without end.” π
upstateNYerParticipant@russell: thank you. You did WAY better with your response to @oros than I could have. π
About this part of the oros post, “Just the Pentagon alone has a 7 Trillion dollars+ of unaccounted for funds … That could buy off a lot of judges, and researchers, and politicians and media producers and teachers and professors and doctors and economists, etcβ¦β¦”
This has gotten so ludicrous and so far beyond believable it doesn’t merit a made-for-TV Sunday afternoon movie. “Money” (the proxy for wealth) has ceased to exist in any form that we can recognize in the real world. It’s a bunch of 1s and 0s on a computer screen. Doesn’t matter whether it’s dollars, yuan, yen, bitcoin, whatever. It doesn’t mean anything.
We can buy into the 1s and 0s or we can choose to think and live along a different path.
And as far as oros saying … “theyβre just warming up”
No, they’re failing. That’s why it’s gotten as bad as it has. Will we all make it? No. I’m working on fighting for my young family members now. Best I can do.
upstateNYerParticipant@Veracious: thank you for more insights. About this: “Iβm actually surprised that itβs not really BAD yet, letβs hope & pray that enough awaken frm their self-induced trances to realize thereβs a game afoot”
A lot of us didn’t fully or even partially enter the trance. We are here and will continue to be here. Ya shoulda spent more time with us instead of the power-mad a-holes. π
@russell: VDB = Van den Bossche. Thank you for the clarification. Doesn’t matter which *side* the rabbit is on or what hole it goes down. VDB may have a valid argument, he may not. Doesn’t make sense to get wrapped up in one person’s soap box pitch. Time will tell.
@absolute: “If you are really down the conspiracy hole, you will tell yourself that this illogic is meant to confuse us and make us insane, and βthese peopleβ are actually super smart and know exactly what they are doing. Be my guest. I vote simple: stupid.”
Errr … yup.
upstateNYerParticipant@thomas: “vaccine injection protocols that generally, though intramuscular, do not require withdrawal of blood first to ensure no vessel was hit …”
I’ve wondered about this. I’ve never provided healthcare to humans, but I worked with horses (100+ head) for several years. I’ve done thousands of injections. We *always* pushed the needle, pulled the plunger to make sure there was not blood, then pushed the plunger if there wasn’t blood.
Have seen lots of clips of people delivering vaccines. No one does this needle in, pull to check, then push. Have wondered why. Perhaps a dr on here can weigh in? Maybe horses are different and we don’t do this protocol in humans?
upstateNYerParticipant@russel: “Iβm starting to worry the VDB might be a mole.”
Sorry, long day. What does VDB stand for?
upstateNYerParticipant@thomas: “I find so many people stuck in a loop β¦ the World is moving on.”
Thank you. π I’ve copied/pasted to re-read and remind myself.
Parts of the world are moving on, but here in NY? Not so much. I’d relo to another state but there are ties that bind. It’s a mind bending experience, this past 18 months, and we’re muddling through as best we can.
There are people whose income and family and friends and, even, health (vaccine status) are not being affected. For others of us? It’s not so great.
This isn’t criticism. You have a valid point. But there are multiple angles to this mess and not everyone has the ability to escape the daily reality.
upstateNYerParticipantI’ve only read Karl D for a short while and likely won’t for much longer, but he posted one comment I’m sharing here because I believe it’s important …
“Contrary to popular belief and political spin you have all the power, all the time and there’s not jack and **** that can be done about it if even a tiny percentage of the population simply stands up and says “NO!”
Well, yeah … that. That’s what I’m trying to say. Money + [perceived] power = 0
upstateNYerParticipant@Oros: “I firmly maintain that the data from the Plandemic is being collected in detail …”
They certainly may be collecting detailed data, but I firmly maintain they are not capable of collating, evaluating, and reaching conclusions from said data that can accurately inform their future decisions and actions. They are simply too stupid and incompetent. And, no, madamski did not tell me to say that. π
Good golly, look at the abject stupidity and incompetence at all levels of government, the obvious mental illness projected by Gates, et al, and … sorry, but this Schwab guy? Seriously??
They CANNOT win this. They are too dumb and have far too much hubris. Yes, they have money and power, but that is not what wins in the end.
Stay resilient, stay strong, hold the line. (that last bit was in support of those of us who are unemployed or will be unemployed in the near future due to the vaxx)
You guys, they’re too dumb. The stress right now is unreal, but don’t buy into the “all powerful” narrative. It ain’t all that. We got this. Trust me.
upstateNYerParticipant@John Day: yeah, I’m a girl. π Glad that makes you feel pretty groovy. lol.
Hey … I visit your blog and would comment there, but to do so it tells me to login through google (I have a junk gmail account I use for junk emails). I’d be happy to login through gmail if my personal info isn’t published, but I can’t tell? Let me know how it works and I’ll ping you on your blog.
upstateNYerParticipant@Madam: nice letter. About that getting jabbed to protect cancer patients who can’t be jabbed argument …
My daughter’s fiancee has had cancer (not 5 years free yet). Granted, not currently in treatment, but he was vaccinated early in this push.
I read about who was excluded from early trials. He would have been excluded, but was in the early vaxx push. They can take that jab and shove it, the lying pieces of dung.
upstateNYerParticipant@TAE Summary: “How to write like TAE Summary in 10 easy steps”
So, basically, be a savant. Hmmmm … I think I failed the pre-step. π
Thank you for what you do.
upstateNYerParticipantWhoops!! @Madam: I knew madam wasn’t a FEMALE. Jeepers. Sloppy sloppy sloppy.
upstateNYerParticipant@John Day: “We are engaging more deeply. Itβs work that seems worth doing, β¦ now.”
Agreed. 100%
I can’t say as I dislike anyone who posts here. How does one dislike a person they’ve never met based on some comments made on a relatively narrow field of topics? People have many facets and it can take a long time to get to know more than just a slice of a person. John Day is probably the person on here that we *know* most fully, although WES shares of himself freely as well. π
I’ve clashed with Veracious a couple times, but his willingness to share deeply personal experiences is admirable and much appreciated. How could I dislike that?
I’ve clashed with Dr D at times as well, but I get a lot from his rants since they’re thought provoking and often humorous. How could I dislike that?
madam/bosco: I knew Madam wasn’t a male. She spent too much time pointing out she was female. We actual females don’t do that because we already know we are female and don’t care if others know it or not. I’m offering this as what I hope will be taken as helpful feedback since you’re writing a book. “Show don’t tell” as they say. π
