@jb-hb: jeepers, do you think all these concepts up in your spare time? If so, what are you doing in your line of work?? You missed your calling. Should start a blog and then add a weekly podcast.

So … they haven’t even drilled a wheel into my head yet and never will. Because I simply don’t care and watching people run around like their hair is on fire about CO2 isn’t going to change my thoughts on it one little bit.

I think by giving people attention we’re actually providing the energy needed for them to continue “building the car” in people’s heads. If everyone stopped debating the CO2 posts, the CO2 posts would stop. No fun to argue with yourself, is it?

It’s kind of like the hoopla over that actor, what’s his name, Sean Penn I think, going to Ukraine. That was a head scratcher. An ACTOR is getting involved in a border war? Is he some kind of ambassador? Since when? What, pray tell, has given him the expertise and insight that makes him worth listening to? I haven’t watched any Penn videos or read a single sentence about his visits. Why would I?

Remove the O2 (or stop giving it your energy) and it will deflate. At least I think it will. 😉

I don’t listen to Rogan all that often, but do when he has a guest I find interesting.

This man, Will Harris, a 4th generation cattleman and farmer, is very intelligent and interesting. Harris speaks slowly with a drawl and needs time to explain himself. Perfect environment for a Rogan podcast. Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation.

@jb-hb: I really like your comment #125437. Makes sense to me. But as I’ve said before on here, I don’t understand the hours invested in CO2 debates. Debating is not going to change anything for all the reasons Dr D and others point out. So why are we debating it? It just … is. Might as well let it be and move on to things we can change. (Besides, CO2 will only be used to suck more money from the poor to the rich, as is already happening and which many on here have also pointed out).

I’m more concerned about how we trash our environment and our food sources, with both these stupid actions being something we can much more easily repair and stop doing.

    @jb-hb: you’re welcome. And thank you. 🙂

I, too, worked for an employer that mandated the jab even though I was fully remote in NY working for a Utah company. I moved on to a different remote job that didn’t require the jab (much smaller company). Pay reduced by nearly 50%. I’ve read your frustrations with the job search and I sympathize. Not sure what all these job postings are, to be honest. because I also have an excellent resume and got very little response from submissions (like you, I tailored the cover letter to the employer/job, submitted work samples, etc, etc).

Hang in there. You’ve made the right choice.

I really shouldn’t post this because who cares, really, at this point? But I can’t help myself. Check out the NYS Dept of Health info on the covid booster vaxx. Talk about confusing (each of the doses headlined here has an explanation associated with each manufacturer) ….

The following New Yorkers are eligible for booster doses:

    – Bivalent Booster Dose

    – Additional Dose (Third Dose) for Moderately to Severely Immunocompromised New Yorkers

    – Initial Booster Dose (Fourth Dose) for Moderately to Severely Immunocompromised New Yorkers

So … the 3rd dose is called an “additional dose” and the 4th dose is called an “initial booster dose” and there is the “bivalent booster” dose as well. Wtf. Talk about people falling for ridiculous BS. How can anyone believe this anymore? Seriously.

Two people who died from cancer following vaxx. One person was less than 2 months from diagnosis to grave. The other went from being a hard working business owner to having cancer throughout his body. They did what they could. It wasn’t pretty. He spent some horrible months before he died.

My youngest brother (late 40s) is vaxxed and boosted. Recently diagnosed with blood clots in his legs. Fingers crossed the drugs dissolve them. Or there are other options to get rid of them. Makes me wonder about his heart.

Several other vaxxed people in my inner circle are, literally, almost constantly sick.

On the other hand, nearing the end of the Weinstein/Malhotra interview …

“Something, something … excuse, excuse, excuse …” for why medical professionals, scientists, et. al., were unable to see there could be problems with the vaxx. Not until there was increased “ramping up and mandating” of the vaxx did these professionals notice there was something amiss. Because they “didn’t have the data.”

Seriously? Keep it up, y’all. You couldn’t see there might be a problem with a novel product being brought to market within a matter of months that only had 60 days of trial data?

I suggest they find another line of work. One that’s more fitting with their intelligence level.

Rest in peace, medical establishment. May it be another few centuries or more before this level of incompetence raises it’s ugly head again.

Feeling a bit peevish today. Sorry. Tired of the BS excuses from “medical professionals” who apparently have no brain, do not care about their patients, and can’t be bothered to read studies before making recommendations to get injected with novel, untested products.

@Dora: thank you for the link to the Weinstein video. I’m listening to the interview now and it’s …. quite disturbing.

Dr Malhotra believes “1/800” serious events in the [drug company] randomized control trials is “a significant underestimate” because this was only tracked in the first two months following administration of the shot, and then the trial was un-blinded and the control group was offered the shot. Malhotra also notes the trial recruited individuals at lower risk of severe reactions (which we also already knew …)

Nearly all my family and friends got the covid shot. I can’t help but wonder what this could mean to our future. 🙁

Idk, oxy, about this: “Also – I think Chris Hedges may be becoming useful again”

First he needs to give up this kind of judgement: “such as Marjorie Taylor Greene, unhinged conspiracy theorist”

I’ve watched Greene in several longish interviews. That’s not who she is. She’s intelligent and passionate. That she calls it likes she sees it (whether right or wrong) does not make her a conspiracy theorist.

If Chris Hedges can get beyond his arrogant, elitist attitude I’ll consider reading him again.

Dr D: “But why is this guy still alive? Like Kissinger? It reminds me these dinosaurs roaming the earth and won’t leave, never allow children to own and control anything ever again …”

The “children” need to get off their asses and do something. Blathering on every day on Twitter, FB, and Tiktok does not equate with *doing something*.

Can’t blame everything on the *establishment old folks*. Some of the blame lands squarely on the shoulders of the 20s, 30s, and 40 year olds who are too lazy to take action.

I’m getting pretty old, but I’m damned tired of seeing 80 year olds sitting around deciding things for the rest of us. When I mention it to young people, they shrug. They share blame for the situation and it’s time to stop absolving them by placing all the blame on boomers (not to mention, didn’t notice any of these young people whining and complaining when mom and pop were buying each of them a TV for their bedrooms when they were growing up … just saying …).

I think they got out over their skiis on this one. There is a percentage of people that will happily fall for the same BS all over again because that’s human nature. But there’s a good percentage of people who were already questioning (aloud or just in their heads) a lot of what’s gone on over the past [insert whichever time frame you feel is accurate] … and the covid debacle laid bare just how much we the people are being manipulated by outright lies.

There is evidence of this, for example, in the polls of people who trust the media (7% or something like that) … and the alternative media platforms are now pulling in more viewers/readers than most major TV networks and publishers. Despite censorship, the people (medical professionals and others) who offered a different perspective managed to break through the censorship barrier. And in doing that, they managed to break a new path for communication.

I know it’s not popular here, but I have faith. Go long on popcorn.

I find many of the comments on TAE to be quite a downer? As if nothing will ever change because “the powerful people have control of the master switch” … so … oh well, doomed to fail, aren’t we? Just roll over and take it, you idjits.

AND: don’t even bother trying to win this battle! It won’t work. Go shoot yourself in the head or something instead.

I don’t know about other countries, but I’ll hazard the guess that those citizens pretty much feel the way about their country the way I feel about my own.

I believe we should not underestimate the *average* American (Note that American is not a PC label, or so I learned a few weeks ago on TAE. So … change my country’s *name label* to whatever makes you feel comfortable. Would not want someone to feel threatened and have to head to a safe space over my use of the word American.)

Americans are arrogant, lazy sh*ts. Yup, we certainly are. I won’t argue that. It’s quite embarrassing at times … and that laziness continues right up until we’re pushed past the breaking point. And, no, the breaking point has nothing to do with DC and its politicians and the blather they’re spouting at any given minute … because aside from the “blue check” twit crowd, most Americans don’t give a rat’s *ss about what any politician has to say.

Btw, a lot of the comments in the past few days have been quite thought provoking. I’ve enjoyed them. Thank you to the commenters 🙂

Interesting. The same intense emotions that surrounded the vaxxed / unvaxxed saga in families and communities for the past [almost] two years is showing up in comments here.

It’s been tough to be unvaxxed. Yes, I am one. How did I do it? Well, one remote job went out the window because they required the vaxx (100% remote – employer was in Utah and I’m in NY). After that I took another job for 1/2 the pay. I’m now pretty broke.

Luckily, family didn’t harass me. Probably because they know better at this stage in life. However, lost some friends over this. Or what I thought were friends. Comments like “I’m tired of the people who don’t take this seriously.” I’m one of *the people* so you can figure out where that friendship went.

And we unvaxxed had to look at headlines in publications on a daily basis and – even worse – hear it from the political leaders here in the US …. that unvaxxed are scum. Let them die. That’s not easy to hear.

And so here we are, nearly two years later. Still fussing and fighting about an injection that was not adequately tested, and it never will be, and that has killed and injured, at the very least, 10s of thousands of people. Not sure what the argument is. Not sure why everyone doesn’t see it, and tired of wondering why they can’t.

This is a fuster cluck of epic proportions. Nearly every person I know is vaccinated. I’m in NY after all. I often lay awake at night and wonder and worry.

Germ is allowed to post and say whatever he wants. Since we’ve never met him in person, has it occurred to anyone that we don’t actually know what his style of communication is? Written is different. Always was, always will be. Cut him some slack. He’s a valued contributor.

Markster: “South Africa and Africa are two different places and two different names. One is a country, and the other is a continent.”

One continent/two continents (man-made division with the Panama Canal, as I recall, so I guess in a sense it was one before that). Matter of semantics since it’s still ONE country (South Africa/United State of America) appropriating the name of ONE continent (or two).

Somehow we have reached the point where we can’t do much of anything but criticize habits that were established decades ago. Probably a symptom of the breakdown. Like you, I don’t actually care either. Calling it America is much easier than spelling out the United States of America every time it’s discussed. Kind of like how we shorten most proper names because it’s easier. Along those lines, shortening the name to USA would also be off the table since … well, you can work that out …

AFKTT: “Whereas we can be absolutely certain atmospheric CO2 will be significantly higher next year, and we can be absolutely certain the amount of oil available will be less next year, we cannot be certain Lake Mead will continue to fall. It just very much looks that way.”

This doesn’t respond to the point I was making. Water is an issue in CA because there’s only so much (and for so long) the Colorado River, snow caps, rainfall, and ground water can change a desert. Kind of like if a household with a well left all their taps open for weeks until the well ran dry. CA’s well is running dry.

The bottom line is, humans are NOT that important to the earth. The earth will exist well beyond humans because we ain’t all that, no matter how much we kid ourselves otherwise. We’ll work it out as things go along as best we can. When we can’t, we’re gone. “Reducing CO2” isn’t going to change anything, especially the delusional belief that we can continue to maintain what would be a desert area as the idyllic home of tens of millions of people and fertile farmland.

Yes, it is. Maybe not in my lifetime since I’m wallowing around in “old age” at this point, but I have faith in the American (apparently not PC) people. We put up with a lot, but when the chips are down, we fight. And yes, the fighters are still amongst us. They just aren’t wasting time on YouTwitFace, and are avoiding physical fighting unless it becomes necessary. I think that’s ingrained in Americans. As I’ve pointed out before, if American’s weren’t by and large peaceful people, 10s of thousands of citizens would be dead each year considering the number of firearms in this country. Why *no one* can acknowledge this simple fact is beyond me (except Dr D who has pointed this out many times).

The Markster: “As a USAnian who went to high school for a bit in Canada, one thing I learned is that referring to the USA as “America” is arrogant and snickered at around the world …”

Does this snickering also apply to South Africans? Just asking since … how is it that South Africa claims the entire continent in its name?

It seems people can easily identify the differences between the action of [most] countries’ political leaders and the sentiments of its citizens … but somehow Americans get lumped into the actions of our political leaders.
