aspnaz & DBS: since y’all discussed this a bit earlier … do the “elites” actually worry about countries like China and India? I’m not being a racist American with that question. Despite how American are presented in the MSM, we mostly aren’t racist. Honest.

I ask that because: mono-cultures are weak. Full stop.

Is China as strong as it appears from the outside looking in? No. Mono-cultures are weak. Just ask anyone who grows produce professionally or in backyard gardens. China – out the window. No worries there.

India is a caste system where the majority of people live in conditions that most westerners wouldn’t allow their pets to live in.

Seriously … do the global elites worry about the several billion people in these two countries? I’m not trying to be mean, but I’m known in my immediate circle to be blunt … do you think the “lowly” people in these countries even cross their minds?

John Day: I’m surprised you don’t see the similarities between Deflationista and AFKTT.

    ????

Never did I say, back then, that Deflationista was a bot (don’t think he/she was), and I’m not saying that with regard to AFKTT.

I’m saying both focused on one topic and wouldn’t leave it alone, whether it related to the events/stories posted that day or not, and each of them beat on that same topic day after day after day after day … no matter what RIM posted.

It’s a distraction. Follow it all you want. I don’t have the time or energy. πŸ™‚

Seriously, I’m asking. What are you driving at?

willem: yes, the stuff doesn’t seem to harm a person in the least. I had/have lyme and struggled with some ongoing symptoms (“long lyme” is not widely believed in the med community – I envy the “long covid” folks since that’s a well-believed health issue) …anyhow, I took ivermectin here and there early on, just for the heck of it, and realized one day that the arthritic type pain and fatigue lyme left me with were just sort of gone when I took ivermectin.

Having said that, I didn’t keep up with taking ivermectin because I had no idea how much, how often, or how long it needed to be taken for a “long term” condition.

    Cheers! πŸ™‚

I watched The Highwire yesterday and it talked about a large study (almost 200,000 people as I recall, although don’t quote me on that as I don’t pay all that much attention since I’ve believed in ivermectin for over 2 years) … that showed that people taking prophylactic ivermectin were less apt to get infected, and those given ivermectin early in the disease were less apt to die than those who were not. I’d post the link if I had it handy. Worth looking up. Yes, it’s pre-print, but at what point are we going to bag that nonsense and just start paying attention to the data.

One of the more interesting points Desmet talked about in his Tucker C Today interview is “why” leaders promote harmful things. Yes, partially the power and money … but Desmet also states that they believe the “ideology” even though they don’t believe the “narrative” they’re spouting.

Think about that for a bit.

Thank you, RIM. I haven’t watched the entire video yet but, like you, purchased ivermectin from India back when it was cheap and not held up in US customs (especially in NYC). Before that I had horse paste and was more than willing to use it, if need be.

I shared my ivermectin (free) with several families and have taken it myself when needed and didn’t die (although not prophylactically as I didn’t feel the need). All that said, it’s a sad sad sad state of affairs when drs can’t prescribe a drug off-label that has almost no side effects and might, just might, work against a disease that might, just might, kill you.

AFKTT: you literally turned a post about ivermectin into a debate about climate change. Knock the shit off already. It’s way past old, no matter what others on here (more tolerant than I am) might say.

In his dotage he thought a lot of things were a good idea. And they weren’t. As I commented awhile ago, the dems/biden admin have gone from shooting themselves in the foot, to shooting themselves in the head.

I’ll stop posting today. A bit fired up due to clips from last night’s speech. Have not heard [or seen] anything like that from a sitting president. Apologies to the board.

@phoenix: I feel your pain when it comes to the medical establishment and needing service so you’re forced into their covid dystopia. I’ve had to participate in that mess over the past few months. Here in NY, waiting rooms still have stickers on seats telling you where you can’t sit so they can maintain “social distance.” Sometimes you literally have to go wait out in the lobby so you can maintain that distance. I’ve had a couple procedures that required sedation (one, an endoscopy) and my “driver” wasn’t allowed in the waiting room – had to sit in the car in the parking lot for hours. (wish I were kidding)

I bought a “fakemask” and it’s been a godsend. It’s a fine mesh and I can breathe through it with no problem – plus no condensate!!! Some of the healthcare gestapos did a double take after seeing it (it’s obvious when you look closely that you can see my nose and mouth through it) but they didn’t dare say anything. How could they? A bandana was acceptable, right? πŸ˜‰

Sorry your kid is going through that. I sympathy. I’m now leaning toward #walkaway (again – what was I thinking??) from conventional medicine because I swear they’ve made me way sicker than I was when I started their “testing”.

Check out fakemaskworldwide dot com. They’re having a sale today, according to an email I received. Well worth the investment when it comes to comfort.

Quite correct. I wish I’d never seen the clips from the speech (haven’t watched a pres speech in decades) since I’m flipping pissed to beat the band now. I’m considering buying a MAGA hat, alternating wearing it with my “I Will Not Comply” hat.

And I was a #walkaway only 5 or so years ago, and live in NY. Think about that.

Watching Tucker Carlson Tonight (day late, Fox Nation, no commercials) and he’s talking with Dr Marty Makary, professor of public health at Johns Hopkins, who said, “40% of rural pediatricians do not recommend the covid vaccine for children who are healthy.” Wait, what? First I’d heard that – has anyone seen that info somewhere?

And the urban/rural divide grows … based on the results of the vaxx in kids, we can stop wondering which “side” is going to “win” this struggle …

Tucker Carlson had a one-hour conversation with Mattias Desmet on Tucker Carlson Today (subscription required). I watched it last night – parts of it several times. It’s the best Desmet “interview” I’ve seen yet (Desmet does the vast majority of talking, no questions needed, he’s that intelligent and fascinating).

Dr D: “Or should we just cooperate on good things and not make up bad faith assumptions of each other? Spot poll:”

    Yes … i think …

Also, Dr D “So am I supposed to ask these same three questions every day until pure madness ensures … Or let it go when we’re all well-meaning people attempting good things but have to hear baseless religious evangelizing?”

Please don’t “let it go.” I’ve grown tired of the endless “religion” of science we’ve been subjected to, particularly over the past 2 1/2 years. Probably why I have knee-jerk reactions to someone being “shouted down” (whether on a University forum or by University students – wonder what the diff is?) and so must get chided for it.

What an eye opener the covid debacle has been. I haven’t been a med/pharma “science” fan for several decades, but the past couple years really coalesced exactly why I wasn’t.

Where is Kamala? I don’t watch TV, but just realized I haven’t seen her in a clip or headline in awhile now. Wth with this political environment. Things are more than just a half a bubble off. Looking at you Joe Biden with his recent statement that there is no room for “defund the police, defund the FBI”. Huh? What? Dems advocated defund the police month after month after month starting in 2020. Cognitive dissonance? That seems an understatement. Do these people (not just biden, who obviously has no idea what he says from one minute to the next) … but, you know, non-demented people … do they not remember what they said just yesterday? It’s incredibly confusing.

Kinda interesting. I haven’t argued that there is no “man-made climate change.” I don’t personally know and mostly don’t care because, as I mentioned, it’s the least of our problems. πŸ™‚ But the two sides are an interesting debate here.

Absolutely. I pointed that out a couple months ago. I don’t think I did a good job with it. You got right to the point.

I’m well past tired of Russia/Ukraine. I’m sorry about the human toll. I’m sorry they’re going through it, but … ?? Then there’s “cutting off gas” to Europe and all the blame going around (apparently if it’s not Russia’s fault, then Europe has no brain or backbone and it’s all on the US … ). I’m also sorry about that because I’m sorry the regular people have to pay for the stupid decisions of their leaders.

    I’m wondering what’s next. Mar-a-lago didn’t pan out … hmmm … (forehead slap)

Am I the only one who is seeing parallels between AFKTT and our old friend, Deflationista? Comment after comment posted on a topic that isn’t a primary discussion on the board. Anyone who presents a different side is an idiot, period. Are we all going to be called “stu-peter” pretty soon?

Wonder what it is about this board that periodically attracts this?

PS … RIM is allowed to ban anything he wants, including a person he does not personally care for, for whatever reason, no explanation needed. It’s his site. If someone doesn’t like it, they can launch their own site.

wdt: “getting rather annoyed with truthy’s spam …”

Me, too. So I don’t read it. I side with most others here: bigger problems than CO2 and climate change. That’s not to say we should “quit trying” – of course we should keep trying, and I’m one to point that out when I feel like commenting here. Keep trying no matter what. Be a citizen, ay? πŸ˜‰

I agree wholeheartedly with oxy: do the best you can to not be a “consumer” and lighten your footprint. Do the best you can to leave things better than you found them. Also, Oxy, very cool you have a hay bale house. I have friends with one and it’s incredible. Hats off, my friend.

Time we give it up. We humans ain’t no thing, baby. Doesn’t matter whether we use oil, gas, wind, water, sun … we’re just here, a small blip in the cycle of a planet. Good god are we arrogant.

We are fortunate to have among us one of the “afewknowthetruth”.

I consider the “climate change” debate a non-starter, much like the debate about whether there was “natural immunity” to covid after you’d been infected. What a useless argument and waste of time.

The climate change argument (oh you awful awful climate change DENIERS!!) is done in a similar fashion (oh you awful awful ANTI-VAXXERS!!). There always appears to be no middle ground, which is patently false.

We have sorely depleted and completed trashed our food sources. Period. By the time we have to worry about whether NYC is under water, we’ll have starved to death. Note that starving does not necessarily mean we’ll be emaciated. There are other forms of malnutrition and we’re doing a bang up job with that right now.

Also – I probably wouldn’t use a story about China’s river drying up considering their use of fossil fuels eclipses most others at this point. And isn’t there something about dams over there?? Just saying.

Went back to yesterday’s comments (don’t usually do that) and slogged through some really deep thoughts on important topics. Dropping in today to say that I think D Benton Smith is underrated here. Yes … he (why do I think you’re a he?) can be blunt and abrasive, but there’s a lot going on there. Worthy of contemplation.

And, as always, I remain a Dr D fan. Not sure exactly how any one person tosses together the lengthy and insightful comments that he (I think that Dr D is a he as well. What’s up with that??) does in the short time between posts, but hats off to however you’re pulling that off.

I find aspnaz quite pessimistic. But that’s just me and we all have our own biases. Ignore mine.

I remember from what seems like a hundred years ago, that the definition of faith is believing in something even when there is no concrete evidence to do so. I have faith in humanity. Will all of us make it through this shit storm? Nope, but some will. I place my faith, my time, and my effort into those that will.

Plus I’ve grown quite weary of the “hair on fire” narrative(s) that we all keep chasing. There’s narrative, then there’s real life. Pick.
