    Plausible deniability: It’s not us, it’s a business. They can do whatever they want, wink.

    Same: It’s not us, it’s a 501 (3)(c) organization. They can do whatever they want. wink.

    All ignoring the law and human rights more and more every day.

    Harbinger of those more heavy handed tactics?

    “After pulling at heart strings for a medical decision, Harris turns each event over to the Democratic activists who then repeat her lines at the front doors. The main group hosting Harris for door knocking events is called Made to Save. It was only founded in April as a 501(c)(3) organization that does “grassroots organizing effort to make access to COVID-19 vaccines more equitable for communities of color.”

    More “Delta Force” (You mean head cold for the unvaxxed) scare stories from the CDC:

    “The US is missing this goal not for lack of supplies: rather, it’s the demand side of the equation that’s creating problems for Biden, Dr. Anthony Fauci and the other architects of the American COVID-19 response. And as Filipino President Rodrigo Duterte threatens to arrest citizens who refuse the vaccine, we can’t help but wonder whether the US will eventually embrace more heavy-handed tactics, especially as vaccination rates in some southern states remain stubbornly low.

    ” But Stewart seemed to still have the same views as ever: Center-left, pointing out the obvious.

    While I did not explain this in the previous comment, I think that’s the larger point we are missing here. We’re living in a time where there are no ETHICS (or even the consideration) in nearly every institution imaginable; increasingly dysfunctional. Nothing works. Nothing. Some due to desperation to keep what little authority they have left and some due to the God complex.

    I get it. We have to pitch some ideals for a paycheck, but what happens when everyone pitches those ideals? Then animals become gods.

    Note after the break where Stewart went into “Science will kill us all.” The god of progress engulfing everything in its path and nobody will say no, because we believe them to be gods, when they’re animals just as the rest of us.

    upstateNYer is right in the sense they are all actors in a play at this point, The intention could have been a lampooning people who believe the “China Virus” meme, but at the same time, a satire on the state of “science” and a good begging the question about “Why are we doing this?” at the same time.

    An act, for sure, but also a morality play.

    “Delta is less deadly than flu (0.1% CFR .vs. 0.15% CFR) in unvaccinated people but is more than six times as deadly among vaccinated individuals. If you took the shot you ****ed yourself; congratulations. And no, you don’t get to blame unvaccinated people; they get a cold so shut the **** up.

    Gotta love this. Delta variant likened to a “bad cold”. So let’s all freak out and get a vax with extreme effects over a bad cold? They admit it.

    @absolute galore

    All of humanity is currently participating in the largest Milgram experiment of all time. If your 80% estimate turns out to be the case, that aligns with the original result of 75% willing to shock someone with a lethal voltage.

    And we have the same top down push as well with the white coats’ “The experiment must continue.”

    I don’t think most of the vaccinated can be classified as a cult. Many likely had some anxiety about it just as some in the Milgram experiment did but continued anyway. The loudest proponents of vaccination? Definitely cult-like behaviors.

    @Mr. House

    I also surmised with Bernie and the Donald gaining popularity that if both were allowed to run against each other (even then both had major weaknesses, putting it lightly), then the neoliberal-corporate era was dead in the water. And 2020, those 22 million extra “votes” past the registration numbers meant a missed shot to the head.

    Even if the vax does not turn out to be a life shaking killer (which I honestly don’t think it will be), and knowing how past mRNA “vaccines” have “worked”, then enough are too sick and weak to put up a fight. Corps continue to rake in the dough from the state and corporate “help”.

    @DarkMatter

    Culling:

    My guess is the PTB figure any left over after the jab has a fatal effect would be small enough to deal with. If we look at the situation from 2016 to present it looks like this:

    Blue MAGA: Ticked off at racial and sex/gender based disparities in professional life, police brutality against same, economic inequality, etc.

    Red MAGA: Ticked off at offshoring, diminishment of family life via state intervention in cultural norms, open borders that lowers wages, economic inequality (though not as loudly).

    Both camps involved in unrest that got just too close to the puppets.

    Then the vax (as Dr. D would say, “We’re helping!!”. Everybody on board the train (except a few). Presto! Change takes care of itself. Who knows how many saline solutions are going into the military.

    Yeah, we’ll be pissed, but will we be pissed enough to take them on and make it personal? Time will tell, hubris of the powerful would factor in to any perceived outcome.

    That’s a possibility..I graduated with a masters in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in 2019 (right before COVID hit the US), but that goes in a lot of directions with types of research, both quantitative and qualitative. I was eligible, but didn’t apply for the certificate in cross-cultural studies that was newly applied. It never hurts to have a good understanding of stats and actually heightened the BS detector I already had. 😀

    I don’t know if it’s the “right” degree, but like most I sort of fell into it.

    Upstate,

    Hopefully I can find work in my area of expertise (though it’s looking more doubtful all the time), but I’ve had multiple people suggest that I teach on the university level, which is a problem with so many universities requiring vaccination. And there is more discrimination based upon age.

    I actually had that discussion with my family about that as COVID studies came out (I try to keep my skills up by doing the statistical calculations by hand at time, i.e, chi square test and finding the effect size via Cramer’s V for example). I told them that in university you can be tempted by the attention to fudge things so you get more attention (I stopped trying to get more data for one project on the notion that my study didn’t actually show much and finding new participants became increasingly difficult.), but in the real world whatever the money wants you to present you present or no money. Thus, always question the stats.

    Thanks for the compliment and advice. Long time lurker because Raul often has the best information and the comments align with what is happening.

    @upstateNYer

    I’ve never received a call from a pollster in my entire life, but over the last six years of study I have had a good bit of experience in research, statistical analysis, surveys, and methodology. What I found was that sometimes it can be difficult to discern what portion of the data needs to be cleaned up or thrown out (such as when a participant gets halfway through the survey and decides to stop or walks away when exposed to the independent variable), but often it’s better to just adjust n and measure reliability showing the standard error (or margin of error).

    What I see more of from all types of research and polling nowadays is outright manipulation of the data to “show” what you want others to think. It’s a huge factor in the replication crisis across science and polling. So, unless something tells me the evidence is really strong (such as high statistical power), I tend to take it with a grain of salt. And that’s my big problem with the vaccines, so much data has been manipulated the findings have become useless and can’t be trusted.

    Yougov CBS Poll:

    Question 6 is frightening, but about what I expected seeing their behavior over the past five years. What I thought was more interesting were Questions 3 & 4. While I didn’t see what the asterick described, notice Biden voters, Democrats, Minorities, 65+, and 4 year degree holders were either not sampled, refused to answer the questions, or their data was simply discarded.

    My guess is the answers just wouldn’t fit the narrative, so they were tossed.

    @John Day

    First, I want to apologize for not replying to your question when you came back, as I haven’t been feeling well and needed to adjust again. I’ve largely educated myself about my conditions and consulted with specialists to get a true diagnosis.

    The clinic in question is a private 501 (3)c not for profit organization for low income people who fall through the cracks of Obamacare (Since I’m in a non Medicaid waiver state, my options are only this or a community health center that’s about 30 minutes away, and I plan on calling them to see if I can change clinics). My previous endocrinologist confirmed Type 1 diabetes with a positive anti-glutemic antibody test plus a c-peptide result of less than .01. I have been unemployed since graduating from my masters program and single, so my options are certainly limited (and getting less all the time).

    The point I wanted to make was the “free” states aren’t necessarily free (as the Houston Methodist decision could attest) and the law passed by the legislature with that perceived loophole for health care facilities presents many potential problems. I still wonder whether the recombinate DNA base for the vaccine would be contraindicated when combined with the recombinate DNA in human insulin. Though I’m sure this is the case with many vaccines, the mRNA therapy (we only have Pfizer here, so there’s no choice of vaccines.) presents an altogether different question.

    And yes, I will take your advice for my next appointment and thank you for that. I’m merely trying to head off despair at the moment, so forgive me if I’ve been off a bit.

    The next research question should be whether the vaccines contain the polymerase theta that allows the spike protein to be written into DNA. If so, we’re in for a whale of possible long term side effects.

    “Now, Thomas Jefferson University researchers provide the first evidence that RNA segments can be written back into DNA, which potentially challenges the central dogma in biology and could have wide implications affecting many fields of biology.”

    I did go back and look for my county (Pinellas) and with the executive order, they did rescind their state of emergency (the listing for the EOC is at level 3- Enhanced Monitoring). Unfortunately, the site hasn’t been updated since the 4th of May. I would have thought it was just ask about vaccination status, however, a previous section with covered situations (for which health care is exempted) includes:

    “(1)A business entity,as defined in s. 768.38to include any business operatingin this state,ma y not require patrons or customers to provide any documentation certifying COVID-19 vaccination or post-infection recovery to gain access to, entry upon, or service from the business operations in this state.

    The next paragraph has the same wording for schools.

    Maybe I’m mistaken, but it seems that health facilities are also exempt and can deny service or entry (and the FDA would not really be of much help given they’ve fallen to political considerations much like the rest of science and could move the goalposts).

    Thank you, upstateNYer. It’s no worry about the links, as I’ve been having trouble posting pics lately, so it’s probably just a bug. I was thinking I should write the governor’s office requesting clarification of that section, and the other organizations could be just as helpful.

    It’s weird about the panic, as I was treated very kindly by staff, and then a series of panicky phone calls about the vax across three days the week before an appointment I was forced to change because my car needed servicing, and then harsh treatment (in an office nearly devoid of patients (which was odd because they are usually quite busy). Before I left, I gave them a subtle hint about a replication study my group (I’m listed as a co-author) got published in the Journal of Social Psychology pertaining to persuasion techniques (replicating Pascual’s work) that told them coercion would not work.

    upstateNYer is right. They have failed miserably. That’s why their love of money has them using force instead of persuasion. The evidence is so far from what they are demanding that even us non-specialized can see it. I’m organizational psychology, but part of that education was a fairly good understanding of statistics, research procedure.methodology, and bias. It’s their job to convince us (through actual evidence through replication, not our job to just go along.

    I saw that and responded. Those comments really did belong here. I’ve looked at multiple studies and figured the risk to benefit ratio really wasn’t in my favor even though I’m still fairly active. And the Lancet NNV range of 47-117 cemented the no vax decision for me on top of watching my 72 yo mother and 52 yo brother both seek treatment for side effects after the second shot. The doctor groupthink is astounding right now, as Raul notes here in a clear way. No any studies outside of healthy adults and they want to vaccinate children with a .003% chance of death? Astounding. I’ve had all the 70s based inoculations in school and old school getting the mumps and chicken pox, so natural immunity there. None of them were experimental.

    I have enough to last me until September (luckily the doctor overprescribed the short acting for 50 units/day when I only take a range from 12-20 units/day) and with any luck I can calculate a basil and bolus that gets me into October if need be. Almost seems I should take my master’s degree and hit up Texas…haha.

    DeSantis just just enough to get noticed and no more, which sends us left libertarians into a tailspin, but I do like his take on Big Tech and hope it sticks.

    State regulations. And yes, Florida supposedly ended the emergency mandate, but some localities (including mine in St. Pete, I do believe) are still enforcing through the health system in spite of the governor’s executive order. This county went to Biden. *sigh*

    Most stores are not enforcing their mask mandates, excepting a few, but it’s touch and go. The good part is I get some free stuff every once in awhile for not wearing a mask inside, probably because the cashier hates their mask but still forced to wear them. People just want to be people again after a year of executive enforced death regulations, so I make some friends.

    Also, I really don’t know how the vax will affect blood sugar as (from what I understand) the vaccines use recombinant DNA as the base DNA template to deliver the mRNA for the spike protein, It’s my guess this is why the spike protein spreads throughout the body instead of just the injection site, but then, I really don’t know. The insulin I am on also uses recombinant DNA (with ecoli to create the insulin within fat storage (I’m thin, so there’s not much), and I have not seen any data for use on Type I diabetics. I don’t think they even know what will happen or they will just ignore it like every other adverse event.

    Hopefully John Day can weigh in on this too.

    Much as DeSantis has been hitting it out of the park lately with the “ban” on vaccine passports, business (incliuding non-profits) and schools being prohibited from asking about vaccination status, there are two glaring loopholes.

    “(5)This section does not apply to a healthcare provider as defined in s.768.38;a service provider licensed or certified under s. 393.17,part III of chapter401,or part IV of chapter468;or a provider with an active healthcare clinic exemption under s. 400.9935”

    A free clinic that I have been going to for my diabetes and potential prostate cancer issues (no Gleason score thus far) has all but refused to set another followup diabetes appointment. When I attempted to state my case regarding concerns about blood clots (I’m one of those rare few who got Meniere’s disease as a child and 54 yo now, so a blood clot could mean the end of lifetime hearing), she refused the medical exemption and stated that J&J was the only one with blood clot issues (which I know to be untrue from your post about adverse events for each vaccine recently) and my brother’s trip to the ER for a blood clot in his leg. I have almost 4 months of insulin left, thus, it’s really “take this shot or die.”

    Additionally, under a “public health emergency” set by the state health officer (with only cursory consultation with the governor), health care workers can force one to take the vax “by any means necessary” including for conscientious objections. Might be why we’re seeing some twitter post about mentally disabled children being tied down for the shot.

    “4. Ordering an individual to be examined,tested,vaccinated,treated,isolated,or quarantined for communicable diseases that have significant morbidity or mortality and present a severe danger to public health.Individuals who are unable or unwilling to be examined,tested,vaccinated,or treated for reasons of health,religion,or conscience may be subjected to isolation or quarantine.

    a. Examination,testing,vaccination,or treatment may be performed by any qualified person authorized by the State Health Officer.

    b. If the individual poses a danger to the public health,the State Health Officer may subject the individual to isolation or quarantine. If there is no practical method to isolate or quarantine the individual,the State Health Officer may use any means necessary to vaccinate or treat the individual.”

    The Nazi laws were “legal” too, I know, but Ghostbusters.

    Denninger explains we are past COVID after the second wave and the vaccines did nothing. Frankly, I won’t get one, and will try to convince my doctor today, that a blood clot either means I go deaf (due to poor circulation in my neck) or die. No on both counts.

    “It takes 2 weeks after the second dose before you’re “protected.” The peak was on January 8th. The first doses went into arms on December 14th, so zero people had received two doses by the 8th of January and had it become effective, and more-damning was the beginning of actual vaccination in real people on a national basis was right around that time — yet no vaccine is effective instantly.

    The peak here in this county for cases was in fact on the 14th of December. A literal zero persons had been vaccinated before that day; the case rate was collapsing by the end of the month, down by more than 50% over those two weeks, yet not a single person was immune by virtue of vaccination on January 1st 2021.

    Not one.”
