“Mitt Romney’s Coronavirus Economic Plan: $1,000 To Each American Adult (Vox)”

The elites are in full blown panic mode. Their great big wonderful centrally-planned non-organic non-fault-tolerant global wealth extraction machine is seizing up before their very eyes. What’s a leader to do? Why, pour a gallon of nitro in the tank and push the pedal to the floor. That should do it. Idiots!

“Global Markets Plunge 7-8%, Oil Falls 30% To $30 (G.)”

My boomer friends are all in lather because their paper wealth has taken a hit the past few days. This, after sitting back the last 10 years as it doubled and tripled with no effort on their part. It almost made me sad. The wealth gap is not a problem for them, you see.

These are paid financial cheerleaders, so you can ignore whatever they say. Better yet, do the opposite and you’ll be better off.

“Leaked Italy Quarantine Plans Create Chaos, Threaten To Spread Virus (ZH)”

Does this remind you of what happened when China announced the Wuhan quarantine? Anyone who had another place to go made a run for it. America no longer accepting flights from China? No problem, just fly to Thailand first, then catch a flight from there.

“Fiona Hill Says Putin Has America ‘Exactly Where He Wants Us’ (CNN)”

Is it some sort of psychosis, or is it just the money. Sometimes I wonder when I read such nonsense. Do these normally intelligent people really believe what they are saying, victims of their own propaganda like the 100’s of their own viewers, or are they gutting out their jobs for the paycheck until something more socially responsible comes along, like a marketing position at Philip Morris?

Seeing this pandemic approaching a few weeks back, while the media was doing its financial duty by suppressing any mention of it, I picked up a few more masks for my TV watching friends who would be caught flat-footed when it hit. Made the decision the other day that when things get hot here, they’ll be donated to the local hospital.

“Libya, more than anyone else’s war, was Hillary Clinton’s war.” ~ Julian Assange

“And yet Hillary Clinton is out here walking free with gazillion-dollar book, Hulu documentary and podcast deals… While Assange faces 175 years in prison for exposing her crimes and many others.” – Sarah Abdallah

And yet we live in a just universe, where everything, including man, is ruled by law from top to bottom. In time it will all balance to the penny, a troubling thought for those of us who have debts on our ledger, which includes just about everyone. But don’t worry, there will be plenty of incarnations ahead to give back everything that we’ve taken.

Oh, I just noticed that my neighbors have returned early this year from wintering in Thailand. I hope they brought me something.

I love that painting of Diogenes, how it contrasts his ascetic life with luxuries of the curious women strolling by, their minds filled with a thousand little things, while his ponders upon the great problems of life and the Law.

Nice essay! One can only hope that Alexander’s vision of the future is correct, in that this pandemic will be the catalyst needed to break up the old, corrupt institutions which are currently blocking the birth a more equitable and socially enlightened era.

I’m reminded of Max Planck’s famous statement that “science advances one funeral at a time”, meaning that the old guard are generally hostile to new ideas, often doing everything in their power to suffocate them in their cribs. As paradoxical as it may seem, even the sciences have their high priests who rigorously guard the status quo, determining which new ideas will be blessed and which will be cast into outer darkness.

Nice set of pandemic karmic consequences for the US to chew on!

The Chinese certainly have some questions to answer when this pandemic finally burns out, however long that takes and whomever is left to pick up the pieces. Maybe we’ll get lucky, like in the movie Contagion, and some scientist will develop a vaccine in time to avert a major die-off. Maybe not.

In the meantime, it’s been fascinating watching the CCP shuck and jive their way through this thing, since their leaky information firewall has forced them to change stories several times already. Choosing between the virus and the economy (either way resulting in a tidal wave of public wrath) they are caught between the proverbial ‘devil and the deep blue sea’, a lose-lose situation only made worse by their continuous lying and stonewalling.

Lately, I’ve had the sneaking suspicion that the US is one of the least prepared nations to deal with this thing, especially with a mostly service-based economy running on printed money. What happens when all those fast-food restaurants and coffee shops have to close because of quarantines? There go half of US jobs with their respective tax revenues. If that happens you are going to see some shuck and jive that will put even the Chinese to shame.

Let’s not forget that most employers do not pay an employee who does not show up for work.

Yes, and many years ago the high-tech industry went from a “sick day” benefits model to a “PTO” (Paid Time Off) model, effectively lumping both sick time and vacation days together. What effect did that have? Well, who wants to waste that time off when you’re sick with the flu during the winter when you can save it all for those sunny days of summer? Naturally, we came in sick so that we could enjoy those days off when we were healthy.

“NYT Secret Sources Claim Russia Backing Trump Re-Election (ZH)”

We all know that this is just a rerun of the 2016 Russiagate narrative, but let’s stop for a moment for a little thought experiment and assume that Russia would prefer to see Trump in the White House. What exactly is the problem? Why should this be of any concern?

And while we’re at it, Russia is really just another name for Putin, the real boogieman of the US empire. There I said it. Putin, the subduer of oligarchs and the reconstitutor of the Russian Federation. Putin, the Harry Potter who stopped the Dark Lord and his rapacious hordes from assuming their rightful place as rulers of the world. Not that long ago Russia was just dandy when good ol’ Yeltsin was at the helm. He was our man in Moscow don’t you know, Time Magazine’s Person of the Year.

I have an idea, let’s have Putin fly to DC and address a special session of Congress. Maybe he could talk some sense into them, as he appears to be one of the few world leaders that really knows what’s going on. Maybe he could convince them to give up their dream of world conquest and settle for a multi-polar world of mutual cooperation. Good luck with that!

“Defense Lawyers Say They Will Seek French Asylum For Assange (AP)”

If I were wealthy, I’d have Assange pick out a beautiful office complex in the heart of Paris where he could continue his work with WikiLeaks. Then I’d buy it and let him use it rent free, without even the customary pet and cleaning deposits.

On Feb 4 and investigative journalist was able to trick a Wuhan funeral home into divulging their crematorium workload. It’s a fascinating exchange, not least because the supervisor was at her wits end from fatigue.

Based on her data, I penciled out a quick graph of the workload between the dates of Jan 23 – Feb 3, assuming that the workload began to increase quadratically starting on Jan 23. With only 11 of 18 ovens functional they had cremated 116 of the 127 bodies delivered on Feb 3, which she complained was 4-5X their normal workload. Using a conservative estimate, I calculated their normal workload for that 12-day period at 348 bodies. This left 488 that must be attributed to the virus, totaling 836 altogether.

The supervisor stated that the nearby Hankou Funeral Home had a much larger workload than her funeral home. Assuming that her funeral home had an average workload, and that there are 49 crematoria in the Hunan area, 488 x 49 = 23,912 virus deaths just for the Hunan area. Just sayin.

I am another one who is following the virus story closely and have noticed that the numbers don’t seem to match the extreme measures taken by the CCP. Neither do they correlate with the non-official reports escaping censorship here and there via social media. Don’t 800 people choke on their eggrolls each month? 400 Million quarantined, the world economy put at risk for a few hundred? I don’t believe it. What pikers those Chinese, we in the US lose 40,000 to opiates each year without batting an eye.

What’s worse are the charts and graphs seen on so many sites using the official data from China. “Oh, notice how the graph is starting to flatten, this shows how the quarantine is taking effect.” “Everyone should be back to work soon.” Blah, blah, blah. It’s painful to watch all the wasted time and energy put into their analysis. All based on numbers having no reality content. Made up out of thin air, like the Iowa Caucus delegate counts.

“Did China’s Tencent Accidentally Leak the True Terrifying Coronavirus Statistics?” – Zero Hedge

The 10X virus statistics temporarily posted on the Tencent site look much more realistic, and would justify the extreme containment measures we currently see being implemented. Notice that the daily increments are also in line with the higher totals. If I had to guess, this was not an accidental posting, but someone with a conscience trying to get the truth to the outside world. And like Julian Assange, they have probably been relieved from their job and disappeared.

John Durham Investigaties Months Before Mueller Appointment (WE)

Yes, Dr D Rich, the fix is in. But the ignorant public must be given the illusion that the wheels of justice are turning, every so slowly in order to grind out the truth. Yes, maybe three or four years will be needed for Durham’s wide investigative net to scoop up every coup plotter in the FISAgate -> Russiagate conspiracy. And so we wait on pins and needles for the indictments, trials, and sentencing, for crimes that were obvious to the half-blind three years ago. And wait… and wait. Any day now the scales of justice will be rebalanced… waiting…

Here’s what will happen instead: nothing. The kindling will continue to be stacked up around DC higher and higher, until that fateful day when the match is lit and the configuration begins.

We recently learned that for centuries the Australian aboriginal tribes were smart enough to initiate periodic burns to maintain the health of their ecosystem, until the state stepped in with a better plan. Helping! We saw the result. Similarly, the governmental ecosystem requires a cleansing of corruption from time to time in order to keep the social contract between state and governed healthy. The longer the state puts off this rebalancing, the more out-of-control will be the reckoning.

I’m reminded of Chelsea Clinton’s $600,000 NBC job, and Obama’s $400,000 Wall Street speeches.

Do not wish it for yourself! This is corruption plain and simple, and no matter how hard the mind tries to justify the unmerited gain, the heart knows better and will extract payment one way or another, often setting in motion self-destructive forces, like drug addiction for instance.

This is always an unwise path if you value your friends and loved ones. What appears on the surface as a boon, is in fact a curse. There is no free lunch. There are no shortcuts. There is only law, and those looking for an easy way around it.

“Iraqi PM Claims Soleimani Was On Peace Mission When Assassinated (GZ)”
“Iraqi Parliament Calls For Expulsion Of Foreign Troops (AlJ)”

Continued from yesterday… Do I think that President Trump tweeting whatever pops into his addled head at 1am is a good thing? Nope, not in the least, but I understand why he does it. It’s a very risky game when tensions in the world are this high, and the owner of said Twitter account is subject to egoic mood swings.

Even the most die-hard MAGA believer must now see that there is no 4D chess being played in the White House… not even 2D chess. Because Trump is not a principle-driven man, being virtually ungrounded, he’s moved by whomever has his ear at the moment, or the latest Tucker Carlson broadcast on Fox News. This time Bibi just happened to catch him at the right time and he pulled the trigger on General Soleimani. I imagine that bankrupting casinos is not the best preparation for understanding Middle Eastern history and culture.

I think he really stepped in it this time, putting his reelection at risk, not to mention the carnage if events spiral out of control. Most of us feel that the election of President Trump was a Hail Mary attempt at changing the course of this nation, but it’s now plain to see that the ball has been dropped.

“Trump Could Start A War Via Twitter; The Social Network Is OK With That (Keys)”

Numerous times over the last three years have I had to defend Trump’s use of Twitter. This automatically gets me labelled as a Trump lover or MAGA fanatic, instead of a defender of the first amendment. When hatred is in charge of the house, reason and nuance get shot in the head, don’t you see.

It was also apparent that this idea, the audacity and ignominy of a tweeting president, was implanted by their latest ingestion of CNN propaganda. How dare the president circumvent his gatekeepers and talk directly to the world via his twitter account. Doesn’t he know that this ties the hands of corporate media, making their job of misquoting, taking out of context, and twisting his words that much more difficult? Apparently, being a media expert himself, he does.

I wonder who it was that rattled Speaker Pelosi’s cage back in September that prompted her quick about-face? She is obviously not a person driven by fundamental core principles, the common good, law, or the constitution. As with all agents, some handler reached out and jerked her chain. Someone who wants The Donald politically disabled, maimed, or just plain coerced. I can’t help wondering if this impeachment is being used to hold hostage Rudy’s findings from his Ukraine visit? (I believe Dr. D. implied this recently) Or is more pressure needed to get Trump behind the war machine’s next victim, Iran?

Many of us smelled a rat as soon as Hillary started floating the “Russian asset” “Putin’s pocket” story before the election, then desperately attempted to overturn the ballot results by inciting the electoral college to switch their votes. All this done with the full cooperation of the media and their govt partner agencies.

And what happened when we attempted to question this hastily constructed narrative among family, friends, or acquaintance? Indicating that it was unsupported by evidence and looked very much like a state-sponsored domestic coup? Well, we were shouted down with the most red-faced, mouth-foaming, emotional outbursts. First, a couple thoughts about Elizabeth Warren: Her Guardian article looks ‘crafted’, of course, with lots of input by the DNC and a final review by HRC. It contains very little of “I’m just a player in the game” Warren’s actual core beliefs, if they exist at all. She looked ‘at home’ when she focused on financial matters years ago, but as a geopolitical performer she seems wholly inadequate and out of her league. Her touching on all the typical DNC talking point nonsense in the Guardian article should be taken as evidence.

Also, in recent campaign incidents, when asked difficult (no-win) questions, she acted flustered, agitated and confused, almost as if there were no underlying principles at the helm… No rudder steering the ship. This lack of steel and moral courage would be disastrous in a real crisis… which we all know rarely happens once you take office.

As for NATO, its expansion is driven by forces which now seem entirely out of our control… that banking cabal which dreams of a global Hunger Games TM, where all the world’s wealth flows into the Capital City (Wall St), while the subjugated Outer Districts suffer in poverty and violence. In this context, NATO acts as regional Storm Troopers who “keep the peace” by eliminating any dissension. Just ask the Yellow Vest protesters, who for the last year have been getting an education in how the New World Order works.

Why were Strzok and Page let go? Because they were stupid enough to leave an electronic trail of their mischief which was later discovered. Once their ‘cover’ was blown they became a liability to the whole Mueller operation. One must keep up appearances of honesty and fair play, which meant these two knuckleheads had to go. I know they say Page “left on her own accord”, just like high-power businessmen leave to “pursue other interests” and “spend more time with family”.

I don’t think anyone believes these two were a rogue couple working to sabotage-then-overturn an election that went haywire. This would’ve been an anomaly indeed, as it seemed everyone in DC was working feverishly toward the same ends. More likely, they were careerists trying to please their superiors in the hopes of advancement.

I would have no trouble adding my signature to the letter Ilargi posted above. And as a faithful reader of TAE I believe the author is more concerned with getting at the truth than picking sides or, god forbid, worried about his popularity.

For example, there are many things I like about Trump, and many more that I dislike. Like Kosmos, I see in Trump, because of his personality defects, the potential dictator that would enjoy the parades, banners, statues, and the “great-leader” worship that we so despise coming out of NK. After the smooth talking “Turns out I’m really good a killing people.” Obama, however, he’s a breath of fresh air.

Why now, after Pelosi previously stated that impeachment would be bad for the country and was not a good idea? Well, certain underlings discovered that Trump was digging around where all the 2016 bodies were buried and was getting too close for comfort. There were more hands in the Ukrainian $cookie$ jar than just Hunter Biden’s. Why else would Hillary scream to her staff, “If he [Trump] gets elected we’ll all hang!”?

Hell, people knew what they were getting when they elected Trump. Maybe Rachel Maddow might want to attend his next political rally, and poll the attendees to find out how upset they are about The Donald’s boorish behavior in cabinet meetings? I’m sure they are worried sick about it, possibly wearing their red hats sideways in protest.

Half the material in the book is probably true, but what of it? He was elected precisely because he wasn’t a DC insider full of smooth double-speak, like Obama. It’s also not a far stretch to imagine that training wheels (Steady State) would be needed until he was either oriented or reprogrammed. At this point it is clear that he cannot be reprogrammed, thus the concerted effort to remove him from office.

I am not a Trump fan, but the fates have put him in Office for a reason, even if he never addresses the needs of those that voted for him. In the meantime, take comfort in the fact that his election kept Hillary away from the controls, forced the DNC to admit they can jimmy the primaries however they wish, and exposed the corporate media as lying handmaidens of the establishment.

Another thought about the current energy use/waste paradigm…

The greatest power on earth currently rests in the hands of the global banking cartel, which is currently in the process of subduing all non-absorbed nations by any means necessary. A vast river of wealth and power flows upward toward them each and every day, sucked from nations (governments) that have fallen under their control. They designed the monetary system in which we currently live out our lives: neoliberal capitalism. Below them sit the multi-national corporations, beholden to the banks, loyal only to themselves, and just as eager to monopolize their respective domains.

Why would these people have any interest in doing anything which might slow down the operation of the great wealth extraction machine that they’ve created, when every policy has been designed to strengthen, legally harden, and accelerate it? To them, “higher efficiency” is only important if it benefits the operation of the machine.

We might get an opportunity to try some of your ideas once the machine seizes up, but I wouldn’t hold your breath. It would require a global shift in consciousness, and the complete and utter destruction of the debt-based monetary machine.

I wonder what would happen if we all planted gardens and didn’t show up for work in the morning?

Some thoughts on the energy problem…

Esoteric writers say that man is only aware of about 1% of the physical plane, which leaves 99% yet to be discovered, all the other planes/dimensions being currently out of reach. The words of American physicist, Richard Feynman, would seem to corroborate this when he said that the energy in a cubic meter of empty space was enough to boil all the oceans of the world.

The eye-witness descriptions of the tic-tac UFO’s encountered in 2004 by the Nimitz carrier group also add support to this claim of untapped energy. The craft maneuvered with speeds and accelerations that seemed to defy all our known laws of physics, having no control surfaces and emitting no exhaust plume. Wavy lines, like those seen rising off a hot surface, seemed to surround the craft, giving the appearance that it could bend space.

Where is all this energy when we most need it? Safely out of reach, since man still lacks the necessary moral development to use it wisely. It still amazes me that we were allowed to discover the energy sources of nuclear fission and fusion, as these were immediately put to the service of destroying life. So, it looks like we are going to be stuck with fossil fuels for the foreseeable future, or at least until our motivations turn from self-interest to the service of life and the common good.

    “Burn, Neoliberalism, Burn (Escobar)”

I had to bite my lip this morning while listening to the coffee group gush about the 60 Minutes Christine Lagarde interview (puff piece) which aired last Sunday. “How intelligent… How articulate… How stately and dignified… yada, yada… Why can’t we have leaders like that?”

How quick people are to judge by surface qualities alone, never troubling themselves to look below the surface. How easily fooled. How easily led. Should I try to tell them about the IMF, the ECB, austerity, corporatism, financial repression, wealth inequality, loss of national sovereignty? No, it’s not worth the blowback, besides there is no interest. Leave them in their dream world. What the hell do I know? Otherwise I’d be on TV!

I suspect that there are larger forces at work here other than your everyday political infighting. How is it that such a weak pretext of a hearsay conversation with Ukraine’s president would cause Nancy Pelosi to now jump on the Impeach Trump bandwagon?

Could it be that the globalists were unhappy with Trump’s recent U.N. speech in which he said that the future belongs to “patriots” (Nationalism) and not “globalists”? Have you noticed how much effort over the last twenty years has gone into weakening national cultures via unchecked immigration, at the same time as power is being consolidated into supra-national organizations like the EU and banks? That those who have tried to resist these plans have been bitterly attacked… Greece, Italy, Brexit, Russia, China, Trump?

Whatever you may think of Trump and his personal faults, he is a symbol of the forces that are trying to reclaim national sovereignty, that believe it is better to live in a multi-polar world instead of a one-world government that is unchecked in its dominance and greed. And since it is looking increasingly likely that he will be reelected in 2020, he must be taken out at all costs. As Speaker of the House, I’m more inclined to believe that Ms. Pelosi is just one of the globalist’s many pawns and working on their behalf.

… That’s what Mme Reese’s portrait tells me.

    Well said, Ilargi.

I have to admit, judging him by his more well know surrealistic works, I wasn’t aware that Dali was capable of such artistic perfection.

It’s possible that the price of his fame required that he blaze a surrealistic trail of bizarre images to the delight of art patrons looking for the new and provocative, but it is my hope that his art arose spontaneously as he wrestled with the angels and demons of his own nature and world around him… that his art was a result of a therapeutic ‘working out’ of inner and outer forces, or even a social commentary, rather than an egoistic waste of artistic genius.

    Two words: Feminine Elegance

The Democrats really took their party down a blind alley when they sold out to the oligarchs decades ago, and now have to compete with Republicans for Wall Street and AIPAC approval, leaving the commoner at the mercy of globalization and corporate cartels.

But by all means, don’t bend toward any populist sympathies, but keep fueling the wealth inequality bubble with more central bank intervention, selectively enforcing laws, destroying privacy and habeas corpus, increasing the cost of living as rampant immigration depresses wages, reporting false BLS data, reducing infrastructure and social spending, fighting wars of choice, militarizing police, lying, spying, and greed.

In short, don’t make any attempt to assuage the growing public dissatisfaction, frustration, anger, and disillusionment in DC institutions. Delay, dissemble, and dawdle, until it’s too late; and all your pomp, status, wealth, and institutions are swept away in an uncontrollable deluge of public retribution.

Pelosi’s problem is that “The Squad” has not yet been bought off by the monied interests. Worse yet, they are tuned into the populist zeitgeist which would have easily put Bernie Sanders in the White House in 2016 if not for all the deep state, media, and DNC chicanery.

Now, that last thing that the monied interests want is for the old guard of the Dems to give in to this new populist energy. Since both parties are owned lock, stock, and barrel by these same interests, it doesn’t matter to them who is in office as long as they stick to the status quo script, and smother populism in its crib, which is exactly what Pelosi and Schumer are trying to do to these four newbie representatives.

This current division within the Democratic Party is only a holographic snippet of the revolutionary tension that is currently sweeping across much of the western world –Trump, Brexit, and the Yellow Vests all being fueled by the same sources of discontent.
