    @sumac.carol
Oligarch’s jets to Davos and elsewhere, military exercises or just plain flying / sailing/ driving in “show of force”. W2 workers commute to and from soul crushing jobs, ecological depletion of all sorts – all beyond our slightest means to slow or, God forbid, stop other than writing or reading about.
I understand your sentiment, but until (violent) reset nothing will change. On that I am certain.
On my daily routine I am extremely consciousness abut “mindless trail” that I may leave, like driving around just for the sake of driving around, living the lights on or unnecessary heating (no AC cooling for me at all) excessive use of detergents. I do carry a smallest crumpled wrapping or paper in my pocket until I find a trash can. All my income is result of using my head and two hands, thus I had never exploited a fellow human…etc, etc.
Having said that, contrary to my earlier beliefs about flying, I had decided to see the wonders of the world, with the well deserved “F-it” attitude.

Silly woman with flat tire persona is running, and that silly woman may become POTUS is not far fetched.

Picasso this morning is absolutely superb.

By now US is fully aware that world is laughing on their “bringing freedom” to targeted country.
Choice of alternate president who looks as randomly picked dumb from some hi school hallway is “into our face” so to speak.

Window-like broken painted pane, exact replica of landscape behind and easy to deceive as being so true to the background. Ruler’s modus operandi via movies and MSM.
Brought up a cheesy Apple 1984 commercial to mind, for no apparent reason.
Marco Rubio of France getting dumber by the mile.

“Lend a hand”! In the best spirit of a late harvest.
Westerners are soaked in with an idea that Orwellian world of is a logical extension of Soviet model (aka what else?), not realizing that it was served right under their well fed asses with slimy little sentences like this in endless pursuit to shove some product or service down their throats.
All “isms” are artificial human construct in which someone is meant to be fleeced. Some were more blunt in doing so and to use “animal farm” analogy, robbed population were like caged live stock. Capitalism decided for “free range” option, and treated subjects in the best “iberica pata negra” manner. Generation as a whole, in US, born in 30’s was allowed to prosper beyond wildest dreams (in a manner of covert ponzi as to have generations to follow inspired) and was luckiest to heave ever lived.
1970’s fiat was the cut-off when rulers decided: “Enough of that crap crap!” in preparation for the real harvest which started 2008, and as you guessed, wealth amassed with mentioned lucky generation will eventually be transferred via hart warming slogans as I placed at the beginning of my post.
First WWI carnage then decadent era of roaring 20-s prompted Picasso to paint those beautiful idealized people as straight from Olympus, so they can reside at least on paintings.

With fresh coat of white paint central figure can be anything that heart desire into infinity. He, he.
One day GB will be skeletal ruin like you Greece. Try then with the marbles.
Venezuela charade can be easily plowed into american minds since their gray matter is occupied, with gusto, about the status of country’s toilet paper.
Macron, the more stupid he behaves the taller he walks.
Democrats on the “late night” – one has to think hard who is the actual comedian on the show.

Ilargi, thanks for the great Picasso run with 01-20-19 master work that shows his true command of color,
    Now….Assange. Well, what to say?

Amid slicing and rearranging, we see stern looking face in manner of Renaissance master, then by cascading down pass one rough chiseled and other plump and shiny breast to undefined crotch area and unsuspected turn of the rear end.
He never ventured into world of pure abstract but, boy, how many his own “signature style” tables he turned upside down only staying close to the real world as inspiration for experiments.
Dr D’s yellow vest video link is disturbing in many ways. Be it medieval peasant revolt or today, it is the goons that stand in between their own class and masters.

One of my favorite phases: a classical Picasso. Deeply human and timeless since expression on their faces shows apparent detachment to what they do. Figures are as if statues just stepped of the pedestal, became flesh and bones and started to imitate us, and in this case showing “an idea” what humans are when running on then beach. Contradictory play with the scale of the their body parts in forefront and back add to the vigor of the movement.
Brexit, Monsanto “yes-no-no-yes” stories bring a question who are all those people who make a decisions in our name? Then, again, who are “we”?

Superb rendering of moon reflection on the not too still water, however the painting in all is tethering to be dangerously close of being a mere illustration (albeit the exceptional one). Now…what defines that one painting is an art and the other just an illustration? That is the good question.
After insects are gone, then all other “creatures” and plants we will be soon to follow. One day all kinds of creation, and the record of, by the best among us in entire human history will be left to the planet to devour and turn into dust.

Interviewed government worker: “We are facing a problem how to pay for OUR mortgage, rent, utility bills and food”, like the rest of us never heard of that.
Lax work and income attitude easily shaken.
Wonder if the pay discrepancy in their favor is also by design to have us divided, which, in a way, I just exhibited.

RT article was hart warming. Closest that US came to this was “Occupy” from decade ago, their members being ridiculed by, not only establishment as expected, but working stiffs by calling them “hippies”, “lunatics” and so on! Occupy, of course (and should have learned from Karl Rove), needed better PR coordination like NO “Meditation and art tents” and deferentially NO a chick with pale yellow eyelashes and who deliberately does not want to posses some basic femininity, to be allowed to be spokesperson for the day (masterfully picked by the camera crew to interview) as “representative” of a movement. Despite of mentioned misses movement had a legitimate grievances that American public failed to recognize and support. In the mean time there is no shortage of chuckling about “French fries” and empty pledges that “The day will come….”.

Superb painting, in par with Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace at night, by the artist who is not a household name .

I always “click”, the habit that acquired from the “Shorpy days” on this site.
I am aware of all that you’ve mentioned (another “elitist” note: there is no such a thing as a week end or twice a year lover of art – or anything else what that matter), and as the history shows, one who is stronger will keep the art.

Kunstler-inspired posts this morning. Medical racket is absolutely true, but it is strange to expect for one field to restrain itself in the society money grab is the sport. Troubled youth, turned actor in Hollywood can earn entire life of income of a real medical professional playing the one. Let that sink in.
AFP art of covert smear of “Yellow vests”: writing about the subject as a friendly side note, aka – not that they have no reason to protest but look who are those people. I could not finish reading the garbage so I do not know if tone had changed at the end.
Kandinsky 110 years ago! No wonder that he thought of a paint brush as a tool to play the musical instrument. Not elitist but fair warning: the ones who does not see (or better yet sense) the “musical notes” if you will, on this painting pretty much have no idea what the painting art is.

    Arnold, sorry for the tower-misunderstanding.
Mentioned migrants were from south and not the east part of the globe and generally considered as a economic migrants. The rub is that nobody knows or want to talk about the right answer to the number that Europe can absorb.

Arnold, since you mentioned suburbia development I always remember a quote from the first developer:
“No one who owns his own house and lot can be a Communist. He has too much to do.”

Challenging stair climb to the plateau where couple is standing is now days being distracted by the packs of migrants who are aggressively peddling unwanted trinkets to the anybody on site. Same as on other notable sites in the city.

Trump is embodiment of everything that US is today, thus making him a “perfect” president if you will.
Most decent person in entire nation, if by some miracle elected, would be brought down in no time not only by the “big players” but majority of populace which still believes that “American life style is not negotiable”.

People in the painting move about in no big rush, unconcerned by minor distraction like rain. Couple at the front, in easy stroll, has even the time to observe something outside the frame. Life in the grand, safe and clean city in 1884!
Now, back to “collusion with Russia” where main question is how, apparently grown men, can do that with straight face and billing public on “time and material” basis.

Assange tick-tock clock is becoming louder and louder, as in some film noir of our time.
UK generals see Russia as a threat as to justify their existence and most formative years spent parroting “Yesss-sir! I am shit-sir!”, and God forbid, to concern themselves with utter poverty in the Country that they are “defending”.
In the absence of right angles and straight lines it takes a moment to realize that lump on the left of the painting is a butter. Dutch still life and domestic scenes painters of XVII century were something.

Full century before,Turner clearing away a path for Malevich’s “White square on white background”.
Lost in the art for a moment. More pressing is the struggle of Assange and our utter hopelessness
to do anything other than protesting in vain.
