The country, The Ukraine hasn’t lost yet…

You’ve only lost when you admit it? Not sure.

I still don’t know what happened with X. Their posts don’t show as they used to. Saw it first when preparing to post the Debt Rattle this morning. And you think: it’s my computer, then it’s my site, server. None of that. Do they want this new thing, or is it an accident? Let’s see. It’s not better here, or for other sites that use X posts.

    Ian Graham,

When will you start posted better sources on climate/overshoot/energy issues? Maybe some more range of perspectives, not just the clickbait for the deniers?

I got tired of the climate “science”, because it feels far too much like the Covid “science”. Clickbait for the deniers, or clickbait for the alarmists, it’s still just clickbait. What are “better sources” depends on opinion.

We need to restart this issue all the way back to the start. Without pretending we “know” anything,

There’s a lot of questions about the Israel videos of the hospital. But scores of Kalashnikovs and ammo in the MRI room? Really, magnetic resonance and metal objects?

If you read 100 articles a day, you’ll miss some things. Risk of the job. But I can’t find back one now that I would like to. Maybe you can help. It said that both Biden and Zelensky will soon be gone, and von der Leyen too. As a way to make talks with Russia possible. Lots of things about “secret” talks with Russia. But I would like that one article.

    I’m a little unsure.

It doesn’t look like Israel will launch the full scale ground offensive. Or they would have already. Bad weather my donkey. But they will do a smaller one; can’t lose all of Bibi’s cred in one go.

But why? Is it the resistance from the west against killing 100,000 civilians? Or is it Iran saying we’ll have no choice but to become involved. And then that bringing in Saudi, Turkey etc?

As I wrote yesterday, Bibi should not be in charge of the country. He thinks what’s going on today actually takes place 30-40 years ago.

I knew you had it in you:

    Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant:

“I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting animals and we act accordingly.”

I think people don’t get what is happening: if, as the opening article today, Double Jeopardy, says, you can’t sue a sitting president for acts perpetrated in office (only the Senate can) , it’s very doubtful that you could sue him for the same acts after he left that office. This is totally apart from guilt or any issue like that, it’s about the “word of the law”.

But people share Trump being indicted, and his mugshot being shared, as if that’s entirely normal. Really, it is not. There’s a reason Trump is the 1st president ever “mugshot”. “That’s the law doing its work”. Yes, but “the law” is no longer independent. It’s a political force.

A few weeks ago I asked if the US could have an election in 2024, in connection with these issues. Now, I wonder if it can have a country. Seriously. You can’t have one party locking up the no.1 candidate from the other party. You just can’t. It all stops there. It’s no longer about counting votes, we passed that point years ago.

I was right in 3 of 4 new BRICS members, Saudi, Iran, Argentina. But not Indonesia (275 million people), which was on my list. Also no Nigeria (215 million). But Ethiopia (120 million) and UAE (9.3 million) made it. Not easy to figure out motivations.

FWIW: When I get the spam window, I click on my browser’s back link button and try again, then repeat if that does not work. Usually just reposting does the trick. Ignore the spam screen, it is garbage, it never works, it asks you to add two numbers then gives you just one number. What sort of cretin wrote this garbage.

“What is the spam window?” I cant reproduce your experiences, that makes it hard.

I think the Losing Posts thing yesterday was part of a discussion about the merits of moving TAE to some other webhost

What losing posts “thing”? And why would we discuss a webhost? Does anyone know what the present host is?

Saw some comments late in yesterday’s thread about people’s comments disappearing, or the whole site disappearing, but I didn’t catch where that idea came from. Why would that happen?

Opened today’s post not long ago and it tells me: “”This topic has 18 replies (+18 hidden)””.

Turns out, it’s just about all jb-hb, posting the same things over and over again. That won’t work of course. If something doesn’t show up in 10 seconds, wait a bit.

The system is stressed, and you’re stressing it more.

phoenixvoice, wishing you a lot more than luck.

And if there’s anything we can do to help, you know where we are. Unfortunately, far away from Phoenix, but if the advent of the interwebs has told us anything, it’s that we just don’t know how we can connect; it’s all new.

    Please don’t be a stranger.

I see one comment today, from Aspnaz, that the system refused, and made it the second time. that’s it.

in reply to: Debt Rattle August 12 2023 #141102

OK, if you want, let’s put some commenting complaints in a row. We’ve had some trouble with an ad service interfering with comments recently. John Day posts comments so long it’s a miracle the platform doesn’t spit them out more frequently, but other than that? 😉 😉 😁

A special counsel looking into Hunter Biden, designed exclusively to stop anyone else’s access to relevant documents. Can you say 2025?

And YouTube shuts down all of Scott Ritter’s channels. Yeah, we’re moving forward.

As for the WordPress/AI /spam thingy: I have no control of it. But I would advise patience. I see John Day try again and again, and that ain’t doing the trick. Just please know it ain’t me, I don’t censor, other than when you get way out of line.

And not one comment on that amazing 4,500 year old wooden head sculpture…. I can look at that for ages. The eyes, the soft expression, the kindness, this is someone I could meet today, and have a great conversation with. And then you think: that’s quite the cleft there in his forehead. 4,500 years. What was happening then where you live?
