When will you start posted better sources on climate/overshoot/energy issues? Maybe some more range of perspectives, not just the clickbait for the deniers?
I got tired of the climate “science”, because it feels far too much like the Covid “science”. Clickbait for the deniers, or clickbait for the alarmists, it’s still just clickbait. What are “better sources” depends on opinion.

It doesn’t look like Israel will launch the full scale ground offensive. Or they would have already. Bad weather my donkey. But they will do a smaller one; can’t lose all of Bibi’s cred in one go.
But why? Is it the resistance from the west against killing 100,000 civilians? Or is it Iran saying we’ll have no choice but to become involved. And then that bringing in Saudi, Turkey etc?
As I wrote yesterday, Bibi should not be in charge of the country. He thinks what’s going on today actually takes place 30-40 years ago.

I think people don’t get what is happening: if, as the opening article today, Double Jeopardy, says, you can’t sue a sitting president for acts perpetrated in office (only the Senate can) , it’s very doubtful that you could sue him for the same acts after he left that office. This is totally apart from guilt or any issue like that, it’s about the “word of the law”.
But people share Trump being indicted, and his mugshot being shared, as if that’s entirely normal. Really, it is not. There’s a reason Trump is the 1st president ever “mugshot”. “That’s the law doing its work”. Yes, but “the law” is no longer independent. It’s a political force.
A few weeks ago I asked if the US could have an election in 2024, in connection with these issues. Now, I wonder if it can have a country. Seriously. You can’t have one party locking up the no.1 candidate from the other party. You just can’t. It all stops there. It’s no longer about counting votes, we passed that point years ago.
I was right in 3 of 4 new BRICS members, Saudi, Iran, Argentina. But not Indonesia (275 million people), which was on my list. Also no Nigeria (215 million). But Ethiopia (120 million) and UAE (9.3 million) made it. Not easy to figure out motivations.
FWIW: When I get the spam window, I click on my browser’s back link button and try again, then repeat if that does not work. Usually just reposting does the trick. Ignore the spam screen, it is garbage, it never works, it asks you to add two numbers then gives you just one number. What sort of cretin wrote this garbage.

Saw some comments late in yesterday’s thread about people’s comments disappearing, or the whole site disappearing, but I didn’t catch where that idea came from. Why would that happen?

Turns out, it’s just about all jb-hb, posting the same things over and over again. That won’t work of course. If something doesn’t show up in 10 seconds, wait a bit.

As for the WordPress/AI /spam thingy: I have no control of it. But I would advise patience. I see John Day try again and again, and that ain’t doing the trick. Just please know it ain’t me, I don’t censor, other than when you get way out of line.
And not one comment on that amazing 4,500 year old wooden head sculpture…. I can look at that for ages. The eyes, the soft expression, the kindness, this is someone I could meet today, and have a great conversation with. And then you think: that’s quite the cleft there in his forehead. 4,500 years. What was happening then where you live?
