    Bosco:. Thanks for your response.

To be honest I had never heard of HHT before! You learn something every day!

Googled it and it looks like you were the unlucky receiptent of a 50% chance of getting a recessive Gene from one of your parents. Likely your luckier siblings didn’t get it?

Well on that genetic lottery issue I can relate also!

I am the lucky receiptent of a 25% chance of receiving a recessive gene from “both” of my parents. Both my brother and sister are fine.

I have what they call Ushers Syndrome. Most people only get RP (retinitis pigmentosa) in the eye. Ushers just means both my eyes and ears are affected (i.e. double bad).

Retinitis pigmentosa (RP) causes vision lost in the eye starting with loss of peripheral vision as the eye cells attached to the light receptors in the eye slowly die off and continues inwards towards the center of the eye, creating tunnel vision, until all sight is finally lost (the window closes).

Luckly I have the slowest type of Ushers Syndrome. Most People with Ushers Syndrome are blind and deaf by their twenties. I still have a few degrees of vision left in the center of my eye. This remaining tunnel vision is why I can still read for now but someday that too will close.

In my younger days, I did managed to travel and see the world. Saw 44 of the US states & about 30 countries.

The biggest problem I face right now is the poor resolution of what I am seeing, so often things appear very foggy. Whether I am well rested or tired greatly affects my vision too. Yeah they took my driver’s license away about 15 years ago!

Of course I am as deaf as a bat but surprisingly I can still hear better than my deaf wife. My 23 year old son and 19 year old daughter appear to both be fine.

Basically I got all the crappy stuff genetic wise. In addition to Ushers, I got also got cronic nose bleeds, severe allergies (food & environmental), and severe eczema or dry skin. The allergies caused cronic red rashes/hives all over my body making “itchy” my middle name!

A couple of years ago my brother heard about phototherapy on the radio in Detroit while driving into work at GM. Yeah, he gets to crash cars into the wall as part of his job! But it is a very stressful job.

So I investigated it, it was too expensive, so then I built my own UV B light fixture for $400 and that, after 64 years of living hell, has made my skin behave itself! So I am no longer tortured by red rashes and eczema now. I typically do 5 minutes a night just before going to bed. Too bad I wasn’t able to figure this out long before but then none my doctors or specialists in Toronto could either!

So for that I am very grateful my skin is no longer torturing me every minute that I am awake anymore.

Well, I am glad your move to the coast with it’s increased humidity and likely milder more even temperatures has help you cope better with your HHT. Since it is a cronic condition learning to cope better is all the help that is available. But often we suffer greatly before finding coping solutions.

Such is the struggle of life!

Bosco::. I can relate to your nose bleed problems.

When I was a kid, I lived up in northern Labrador where the winters are long and the air cold and very dry. I had blood vessels too close to the surface of my nose, so I suffered constant nose bleeds for no reason at all. The doctors said there was nothing they could do for me until I grew up.

My nose bleeds were so bad that my Mother, a nurse, would pack my nose with 5 foot long narrow strips of cotton coated with vasoline just to stop the bleeding! They stayed there for days before being removed.

When I was 19, studying electrical engineering in Toronto, my uncle, a doctor gave me a referral to a nose specialist.

I remember that visit very well! The doctor used the medical equivalent of an electrical soldering gun to burn the skin over the blood vessels! I got to smell my own burning flesh!

Then after I recovered from that surgery (felt more like a butchering job!), I stopped having so many nose bleeds! Those that I did have stopped as quickly as they started!

Now I was a free man, no longer burdened by constant fear of sudden nose bleeds!

I did several follow ups every 5 years or so where the doctor did quick 10 second touch ups using a Q-tip dipped in a mild acid on any trouble spots.

Now 45 years later, I remain basically free of nose bleeds and remain forever grateful to that doctor for improving my quality of life!

Bosco, from what you say, I guess lasers have replaced soldering guns and acid Q-tips!

I hope you are able to achieve the success that I have experienced. Best wishes!

Raul:. Your don’t insult the jury comment, reminds me of my dear Father.

My Father served in a jury for a murder trial. Oddly both the defendant’s lawyer and prosecutor had agreed beforehand the defendant had committed the murder, so the jury’s only decision was it manslaughter or second degree.

The trial started Monday morning after jury selection. During a break, for unknown reasons, the judge let slip he was looking forward to go fishing the coming weekend.

Thursday morning the procecutor and defense nicely wrapped up their arguments. For the jury reaching a verdict would be quick.

Rather than have the jury begin deliberations right away, the judge dismissed the jury for the day!

By doing this, the judge manipulated the his court schedule so he wouldn’t have to start a new trial Friday morning and could get an early start to go fishing.

My Father, an engineer, was decidedly angered about his valueable time being needlessly wasted.

Friday morning the jury met for what they and the judge thought would be a quick easy verdict since the murder case was not complicated.

Well, my Father was so pissed at the judge that he hung the jury 11 – 1 all day Friday!

This forced the judge to order the jury to reconvene Saturday morning to continue their deliberations.

Saturday morning came and the jury quickly reached a 12 – 0 verdict in less than 5 minutes!

The judge was royally pissed! Not only did he not get to leave early Friday morning to go fishing, he had been forced to cancel his fishing plans so he could work Saturday!

Yes, the judge knew exactly who the trouble maker was! An engineer!

The funny thing is this type of behavior was so unlike my Father! I still shake my head in disbelief that he would ever have done such a thing! But then again the judge had pissed my Father off! I think my Father was rather proud of this!

Kung-Flu:. A Bad Dream. Imagine if you were put in charge of spreading the Kung-Flu virus as far and wide and in the shortest time possible.

By picking China as your starting point you start with one great asset, communists. They come by the 3 monkeys naturally thus greatly helping to spread the Kung-Flu virus without any effort on your part.

So far you have successfully spread the Kung-Flu virus to all corners of the world without doing anything!.

Now you are presented with the greatest yearly migration of people in the world!

During Chinese New Year, over 400 million people are expected to travel, an unbelievable gift toward helping you to spread the Kung-Flu virus beyond even your wildest dreams!

So far you haven’t yet lifted a finger! You are still thinking about what you need to do to fulfill your job successfully! Well congratulations, you are going to get a gold star or something!

P.S. At this point I would advise you not to do anything! Quit while you are ahead! Anything you ydo, mightI actually slow down the spread of Kung-Flu virus!

The only variables are the timing between compounding (i.e. the time interval between catching the virus and becoming infectious) and how many people you infect.

Raul:. China’s health care system reflects it’s ridgid communist past. The communists promised free health care for all.

However implementing such a massive and “expensive” scheme suddenly required training new health care workers.

The only way to produce the required number of needed health care workers and “keep costs down” was to reduce the standards of what was called a doctor! The same for nurses! Pay was kept at levels similar to average workers!

The fallicy of this system is self evident! Why would any bright person to go to all the trouble of working extra hard in school to excell, then take on more years of schooling just to be a lowly paid doctor?

Now let this disfunctional system fester for 7 decades and what do you think you get? A functioning system?

I worked for 6 months in a Siberian coal mine back in 1983.

A co-worker and room mate, Ken, suddenly developed accute appendicitus and was operated upon that very night. Everything went fine according to Ken, an experienced 3rd world traveler. They gave him the best of what they had.

However the regional health authority, not trusting the locals, none-the-less sent out one of their doctors to check up on Ken to make sure everything was O.K. I remember Ken joking about this!

This illustrates a key point. Even the real good Russian doctors did not think very highly of their community health care doctors!

I suspect many of China’s so called comminity doctors are not trained to the level of what we call nurses. Their best doctors all reside in the big cities just like our doctors do!

One of the take a ways I learned about communists, is they do not like anyone rocking their boat! Trust me I rocked their boat many times!

Dam if I can get my kids or my wife to turn off any lights! They seem to think they exist only to be turned on!

Now about recycling! I get shit from my entire family because I won’t throw out good stuff! A button falls off a shirt! No, it is too much trouble to sew on a new button! It is so much easier to just go out and buy a new shirt!

Look I can turn this still good stuff into other useful good stuff! No, No. We can’t have this shit around my house! It clutters up the house and collects dust!

What is wrong with turning my neighbor’s broken Ikea furniture into new furniture or a shelf? And turning my neighbor’s dead battery lawn mower into a regular electric lawn mower? Replacing my neighbor’s burnt out weed whacker motor with another’s used motor? And about that chain saw?

However, I can not hold a candle to what my parents did! Both were children of the depression. Nothing went to waste! I pale in comparison to them!

So as each succeeding generation arrives, they seem to become ever more wasteful!

Greta, as Lenin said, is a “useful idiot”!

Now about green solar panels. Adult solar panels don’t produce enough energy to produce baby solar panels! And if they somehow did manage to produce a baby solar panel, the baby would die anyway, not able to produce enough energy to live. Besides the parent solar panels would die before being able to raise their baby!

About those green wind turbines. Adult wind turbines don’t produce enough energy to produce baby wind turbines! And if they somehow did manage to produce a baby wind turbine, the baby would be born still born! It is just as well because, by that time, the parent wind turbines would be in the local landfill anyways.

You see, green energy takes more energy to produce, than it can ever produce! This is of course not sustainable! That is why it needs to be publically subsidized by the poor so the rich can get richer!

Oh, yes, you are wondering about the life expectancy of green energy! Short! Actually very short!

On a side note, last week my 23 year old son, a wind turbine technician, said all of the wind turbines were shutdown last week due to the freezing rain on the blades and towers. They can not go near them because of the risk of falling ice. I don’t expect they will be running this week either. We will have to wait for a warm sunny spell above freezing to melt the ice. It is January, when the sun never shines.

Those green wind turbine blades do not last forever but need to be periodically replaced (7 years ?) and sent to the landfill. Same for the old green solar panels. You were born to die! Offer to the dump you go!

It is a very good thing, for the social good, that green energy doesn’t have to produce and raise offspring!

Greta, did I forget to tell you that you are a total idiot? Lenin was too kind.

    Dr. D Rich & Dr. D:

I read both of your comments concerning Admiral Rogers.

Dr. D your comment, I have had to re-read multiple times to try and fathom your meaning(s). You ask many good thought provoking questions.

Dr. D Rich your comment seems clear. Rogers was a classmate. The good Admiral Rogers isn’t so good!

However, I am not convinced Dr. D is saying that the good Admiral Rogers is necessarily so hot either! He seems to have ended his comments asking some good questions that remain unanswered! I suspect if truthful answers could be obtained, they might not shine favorable on the good Admiral Rogers.

However both of you have furthered my understanding of the complex role played by Admiral Rogers in the deep state’s coup attempt against President Trump. Sadly for JFK, his own party voted to permanently fire him.

I must confess, I did not stay at a Holiday Inn last night. So that is not a good sign!

I must also confess to working in a Siberian coal mine for 6 months back in 1983. Sadly, I never got to experience the affections of any Russian honey pots. My one regret.

Dr. D:. What is the endgame for impeachment?

    Simple: Destroy Donald Trump!

The impeachment’s immediate endgame is to support the Dems 3 court cases before Fed courts.

As for the two reasons given for impeaching, the legal reason is to provide support for the three Fed court cases to obtain (1) Trump’s tax records before he became President (fishing for evidence), (2) forcing the President’s White House lawyer to testify, and (3) obtaining Mueller’s grand jury documents (Dems already have this evidence via Mueller’ Lawfare gang but need to re-acquire it legally to use).

The Dems have convicted the President on 2nd or 3rd hand hearsay, but now need to find/make up new evidence.

Case (1) is now before SCOTUS
Case (2) is currently before Fed appeal court (Obama judge). 90% chance goes to SCOTUS.
Case (3) is currently before Fed court (Obama judge). 90% chance goes to SCOTUS

These three cases are Lawfare’s attempts to bypass the US Constitution and create new laws.

The two articles put forth in the impeachment, are designed to reinforce the legal arguments being put before the courts for the three cases. Note all the other articles of impeach were dropped but these two!

All three cases are legally very weak. Lawfare has been winning these cases in DC Fed/Fed Appeal courts under biased Obama judges using judge shopping.

Per a retired Harvard lawyer, the President’s chances of winning at SCOTUS are very high due to Lawfare lawyers trying to back date these weak legal cases. Each case has at least one fatal flaw in its construct.

The requests for (1) Trump’s tax returns before he was President and (3) Mueller’s grand jury information are particularly weak.

The impeachment article claiming Obstruction of Congress is very weak because the house alone is not Congress. Second the wrong house committee was used not the house Justice committee (i.e. fatal).

If the President wins any two of these three cases likely the impeachment articles get the legal rug pulled out from under them.

Note that the Mueller grand jury information focuses on Russian collusion not the Ukraine which the Impeachment focuses on. The reason the Dems want this information is so they can leak it during 2020 election to try and hurt the President.

Typical communist activity to destroy your opponents by any means possible. Just like communist taking over a village. First thing they do is kill everyone in a position of authority, like majors, police, judge’s, City officials, etc. so there is no structure left in place.

Also Need to know the Dem Party has been hijacked by its extreme left wing enabling Lawfare to take over. That is why many moderate Dems are walking away. This is not their parent’s Dem party anymore.

    Hope this helps.

This is what you get when communists hijacked the Democratic party. Their goal is to destroy the existing order so they can seize power. Lenin and Stalin would be proud.

They hate the fact President Trump is standing in their way of seizing power from the American people. They hate that their efforts to disarm the American people is being blunted.
Their hatred of free people justifies their efforts to imprison the American people.
Their hatred justifies attacking and destroying everyone with different beliefs than their own.

I once lived in northern Labrador. My Father was a mining engineer working in the iron ore mines there.

One day he was called to the pit. A shovel operator had uncovered a large amount of petrified wood.

It was from tropical trees and plants. I remember as a kid spraying shelack on the samples in my Father’s office so they wouldn’t dry out. One sample was a very pretty fern leaf.

Winter lasts 9 months there. It is just south of the tree line.

And to think at one time it was a tropical paradise!

It is very interesting how the global warming crowd conveniently ignores the history of the earth stored in it’s rocks. As my Father always said. The earth has warmed and cooled millions of times in it’s billion year plus history!

Some towns in northern Canada, like Churchill, require everyone to leave their front doors unlocked just in case someone suddenly needs a place to escape into upon seeing a polar bear walking down the street!

I see Britain’s Labour party is reaping their just reward for trying to sell more communism to Brits.

In 198, I got to see communism first hand while working in a Siberian coal mine.

All I saw everywhere was the total lack of hope for the future. All their energy went towards surviving. They couldn’t talk to me but I could clearly see it in their eyes before they looked away.

Everyone was too busy drinking, so they could at least temporarily escape from the reality of their worker’s paradise!

My construction crew were always under the influence. I would watch my crew as they flowed off the steps of their business to see what kind of day I was going to have. The sobriety test for my crane operator was, could he crawl up upon the crawler and into the driver’s seat. If he couldn’t, we directed him to a nearby wooden crate to sleep.

These were ordinary people just like you and me. Good solid people.

Their mistake was being born into a country with a corrupt system that no matter what they did made them all look bad. It was a system designed to make good people fail!

Nobody deserves this kind of fate.

I was quite happy to leave that hell hole!

I am also very pleased that my efforts to help save such a miserable system from itself was an utter failure!

Raul: When I read Warren’s statements, this what I read.

I, Warren, as president, will faithfully restore all the corrupt foreign practices of the State Dept to ensure all members of Congress receive their fair share of all taxpayer money sent overseas as foreign aid that President Trump has so rudely been trying to cut.

    Any questions?

Very interesting comment by ex-FBI Jeff Cortese. Lone Wolf jury members refusing to convict anyone investigated by FBI even if defendant is guilty!

I have read many people saying that if they were on a jury they would not convict based upon FBI evidence either, because they no longer trust the FBI. I had always taken these statements with a grain of salt. But I guess some little people really does have principles! My! My!

    A little judge storyline.

My late Father was on a jury. The defense and prosecutor both agreed that the defendant had killed the victim. The jury was to decide whether it was 2nd degree or manslaughter. A simple verdict to reach.

The trial started Monday. Tuesday the judge causually mentioned he was planning on going fishing on the weekend. The trial wrapped up Thursday morning.

Instead of the jury starting deliberations after lunch, the judge dismissed the jury for the rest of the day. The jury would begin deliberations Friday morning instead.

This royally pissed my Father off as he didn’t appreciate his valuable time being wasted! An engineer by profession, he didn’t suffer fools very well!

All day Friday, my Father hung the jury! Friday evening the hung jury was dismissed until Saturday morning!

At 9:05 AM Saturday the jury promptly convicted the defendant of the lessor charge of manslaughter!

The judge did not get to leave early Friday morning to go fishing! In fact he didn’t go fishing at all!

As a retiree, what has been happening to me is a direct result of the actions of these central bankers.

Nothing in my life’s experiences, could ever have prepared me for what has happened since 2008.

Before 2008, if you had mentioned negative interest rates, I would have said you were “NUTS!”

Well savings now produce no income because central bankers have made the value of savings worthless.

So I have had no choice but eat what is left of my savings to survive.

I stopped investing over 10 years ago because the markets are dead.

Without price discovery, there are no longer any reference horizons to tell you where you really are.

So I hold the only thing left that is worth holding.

I sure hope you weren’t expecting I would create a job for you with my life’s savings.

I can’t, even if I wanted too. I am too busy just trying to survive, to worry about you.

You are completely on your own.

You may get to work but you will not be allowed to save for your future.

At least I had the illusion, while working, that I could save for my future.

I had the power of positive compounding working for me, for a little while.

You have the power of negative compounding working against you.

The more you try to save, the more you loose.

You face an uncertain future because you can’t easily save.

Sadly, I don’t envy your situation in life.

II have a young son and daughter just entering the work force.

They are in the same boat as you are. I am very unsure what is the right path for them to follow.

Yes, I have lived in a place mostly devoid of hope for the future.

That place was Siberia in 1983. I sincerely hope you can avoid living in a place like that.

I hope you can figure this out. Good luck!

It is interesting who is spinning the latest leak from Horowitz report due out December 9th. This particular leak is by the Washington Post. So who leaks via the Washington Post? Why yes, the CIA!

    Your leaking guide:
    (CIA = Washington Post)
    (FBI = New York Times)
    (State Dept = CNN)

    Nice CIA twist!

So Horowitz who is IG for Department of Justice and can only investigate DoJ employees is somehow supposed to be in disagreement with AG Barr because he isn’t investigating the CIA? Really? Not his job!

I guess it doesn’t really matter because most people are too stupid to notice this slight twist!

So I wonder who’s turn to leak is up next, to shape the narative? State Dept. or the FBI?
