Follow the money? In 1917 NY banks were all in with war loans to Britain and stood to lose that investment unless the British won WW1. Thus America entered the war to protect that investment.

Re: Russia’s pivot to Asia.
I fail to understand the benefit of trade with Europe and running pipelines there or energy hubs(Turkey). Maybe a few years ago it mattered. What’s Europe have to offer Russia, or anyone else now? Euros, backed by trillions in debt? What else? Limited natural resources. No industrialization. A spoiled, infantile population. A ethnic map that reminds me of Bosnia 1991.
Europe will be a giant charity case for the rest of the world. Short term it will be total chaos which must be contained.

Good advice. I’ve been telling young people that if they want a better future then move to Russia. Any sales? Of course not! We’ve had 4-5 generations of Russian demonizing. All westerners are incredibly ignorant when it comes to foreign issues(intellectually lazy?). The difference with Americans is that they seem to take pride in that ignorance. Like they are proud of being the only advanced nation without universal health care – proud of being suckers while their money went elsewhere.
Covid gave one a reason to be glad of American Exceptionalism. When fellow intellectuals stab you in the back turn to a Redneck. However Israel has reminded me that Americans can be really ignorant.
Is the strategy of the Resistance Axis to go slow, win a long war? Sounds like Putin’s influence. He loves going slow, never risking really upsetting the lunatics in Washington. If this is the strategy then where’s the oil embargo? If sinking aircraft carriers entails too much risk then why not attack the West economically?

Personally I think they should call America’s bluff. Israel and America have never been weaker. If Iran can sink a carrier then they should do it now. This fearing how extreme the US reaction could be is simply being held hostage to fear. There will never be peace in the Middle East until the Americans are driven out.
Still it’s easy for me to write that. I’m not living in Iran and won’t need to duck if the reaction is a nuclear attack.

I’d say the difference is that the Democrats are a domestic cancer, while the Republicans are better at sowing international chaos(the Dems aren’t bad at this either).
Being a foreigner, the Dems in power is actually good. It creates the potential or wrecking America. That wreckage will limit/eliminate Washington’s ability to impact foreign affairs.

I find this Putin hit idea – all over the internet, including Scott Ritter – hard to swallow. This isn’t The Godfather Part Four nor an episode of The Sopranos. The simple test is that anything the western MSM is saying is likely the opposite of the truth.

When religions or atheism respect the individual they achieve good results. When they don’t, they embark upon the road to Jonestown.
Meaning of life is what matters most. There’s no set rule to achieve happiness. Live and let live is a good starting point. People find meaning in very different things. That’s a journey each individual must make in life.

So that’s where the smoke went to. I’m in southern Ontario, staring at the sky everyday because I have nothing better to do than look for the smoke. But I couldn’t see any. Now I know why – it’s all in Florida! Summer Snowbirds!

Remarkable times we live in. I remember seeing a video during covid. A white woman in a mostly empty football stadium watching local game without a mask on. A black security guard came along and, literally, dragged her out of the place. All I could think was: America has come a long way from Emmett Till.
These days I can begin to understand the reconstruction South after the Civil War. The days of the Carpetbaggers when there was very little rule of law. Suddenly it makes sense how some would see the KKK as a movement to restore law and order. Unfortunately it enforced the racist Jim Crow South.
That’s what happens when you destroy a society. Bad things follow.
I like Kunstler. He’s entertaining to read, honest about what’s going on and tries to see a positive outcome. Now his latest PollyAnna Moment, that the vaxxed would turn their anger on the government and medical establishment lost me. It would be deserved retribution, however it’s not realistic. The vaxxed have sold their soul to the government and medical experts. 100% blind trust. They aren’t going to bite the hand they think feeds them.
What is far more likely is that authorities will redirect that anger at the unvaxxed. Shoot the messenger? They’ll hate us because we aren’t getting sick and dying. Think Spencer Tracey in the film “Fury”.

I appreciate the information however, for me, it’s 2nd hand evidence. I’m simply not seeing 1st hand evidence.
People I know personally are not dying suddenly. Well one neighbour did last October but he was over 70. My father was 71 when he died suddenly(of a heart attack) over 20 years ago. What happened to my neighbour can’t be regarded as a vaxx death, unless I’m looking to believe any sudden death is a vaxx death.
I haven’t seen a single celebrity I follow dying suddenly. Granted I don’t follow modern celebrities – why would anyone in such a corrupt culture? My idea of dying suddenly is what happened to Jean Harlow. Plus I can name more players on Limerick’s hurling team than I can name in the NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL and English football combined! The fact is – thank goodness – that not a single high profile GAA player has had a negative vax reaction.
Finally where’s the backlash? If I had a child die suddenly or be permanently damaged then I’d get a gun and punish the people responsible for them getting vaxxed. That would be my duty as a parent. I’m surprised there’s still been no medical clinic shootings or doctor’s murdered in the USA. The hundreds of thousand vax injuries/deaths and no violent reaction doesn’t add up. Are westerners really that ignorant and cowardly?
