China closes off the Taiwan Strait, did I get that right? First of many measures. But let’s start with not getting you your semi-conductors. People like Pelosi and Biden are simply too old to recognize the change in power dynamics since, say, 1990.

“Taiwan media is reporting that ROC authorities tried to revoke Pelosi’s invite to the island because of the risk involved, but that she called the Taiwan “ambassador” and insisted on going so that she could do something “historical.”

The meeting of Blinken with Kosovan President Osmani and Prime Minister Kurti took place in the USA.

Makes sense, should have looked at the decorations.

Carlos, Dennis, thanks for your support. Much appreciated.

There appears to be an increase in the demand for me to check every word and picture I quote. As I explained a few days ago, that is not possible. Quoted text is what it is, and the source is always there. Bit hard for RT, I know, but they’re too interesting to not use just for that. I get them on my phone, not laptop, and use them. Pics are just what they are.

Carlos: Take a look at that video of the Body Bags. What is anyone supposed to make of it without a source?

Sorry, I thought we all knew that’s an old “joke”. That someone printed Ukraine on. That video is ancient. Why use it? Because the same thing happens again.

Dennis: There is no bank leak in Costa Rica, nor was there a news program where supposed a Ukrainian corpse moves.

You ask for proof, but provide none. How do you know “There is no bank leak in Costa Rica”? I’ve seen 99 hints at Ze’s fortune and his Miami mansion, and I used no. 100. “A news program where a Ukrainian corpse moves”? What news program would show such a thing? MSNBC?

We live in a very heavily censored world, and we have to try and be flexible while trying to scratch behind that surface. There is no other option, other than to trust only MSM sources. But if we did, we would never be the wiser.

My input is not needed here, I can just quote the Guardian:

Horrific video has emerged that appears to show a Russian soldier castrating a Ukrainian prisoner, who other reports suggest was subsequently murdered. The footage, reviewed by the Guardian, was originally posted on pro-Russian Telegram channels. Aric Toler, at the investigative outlet Bellingcat, suggested that the video was authentic

The Dutch farmers have been back at protesting the past 2 days. I love how they are unpredictable in timing, locations, etc. The current actions are mostly in the middle of the country, they are dumping manure, tyres etc. on highways.

In Dutch politics, a brand new party (2019), the BBB, BoerBurgerBeweging, or FarmerCitizenMovement, is close to being the largest party. That grabs the attention of people like Rutte, that’s their own turf. The leader of that party announced yesterday she won’t do any public engagements for now because of serious threats being made to her. Rutte, from his holiday address, hasn’t condemned those threats yet. But he did condemn the farmers for that their “reckless” actions.

These WEF people really believe they rule the world. This is because they only communicate with their own ilk. Hey, Micron and Trudy think the same as me! And Klaus! I must be right!

Dutch farmers are at it again, large scale. That’s what I thought. Just do it when it’s not expected. Can we have an emoji here?

I think the assertion is wrong, willem, They had a reasonably sized – and trained – army, but there’s not too much left. Now it’s women and older people first. And HIMARS or whatever the west will send will make very little difference. The people who lost don’t want to admit they did.

James Lovelock has died on his 103rd birthday. What an interesting man. Gaia theory. “ He said two years ago that the biosphere was in the last 1% of its life.”

“Here was a man who helped to shape many of the most important scientific events of the 20th century – Nasa’s search for life on Mars, growing awareness of the climate risks posed by fossil fuels, the debate over ozone-depleting chemicals in the stratosphere and the dangers of industrial pollution – as well as his work for the British secret services.”

These kind of rather common mistakes discredit his blog. Note that I am a Patreon supporter.

Given the amount of info I go through it would seem obvious I cannot check ever word or image. I post what I read and see. There are not enough hours in a day to fact check it all. As soon as that is clear, everything else should be too.

Lavrov today: “..Moscow would not have agreed to Friday’s deal unblocking Ukraine’s grain exports if the issue of freeing up Russian exports had not been resolved..”

But we are to believe they shot the deal to bits just hours after. Makes no sense, they just freed up billions in income AND deflected the blame for world hunger.

Saw earlier today somewhere that the turbine is now stuck in Cologne. And the Germans blame that on Russia not letting it into the country. Why would they not, though? As you’ve seen, I started re-including RT articles in the aggregator, it’s just too valuable not to. And I catch myself thinking that I trust RT way more than MSM. Not 100%, but way more. Anyways, once the turbine is “freed”, it will take another 7-10 days (by barge, train?!) to reach its destination.

    Teri,

Picasso absolutely adored women like Dora Maar and Marie-Therese Walter. He worshiped them. That’s why he painted them. But he was also a macho man, and trying to cross the barrier between 2D and 3D. Which is where the “odd placement of boobs and bizarre extra appendages” come from. He’s looking at them from multiple angles at the same time.

Aivazovsky, Vermeer and Rembrandt are regular guests here.

Did Biden have a meeting scheduled in the next 10 days or so that his handlers didn’t want to risk? So he can be safe in his basement? His positive test destroys all demands for a vaccination 800X vaxxed, but that doesn’t even seem to matter anymore.

Yeah, yeah, the president has refused Draghi’s resignation.

in reply to: Debt Rattle July 14 2022 #111529

Draghi’s gone. That’s number, what, 4-5 in Europe?! And how long does it take Italy to get a new cabinet together? Inject very loud laughing emoji. He’s history because 5 star wouldn’t support him. Among other reasons, this is because they wanted negotiations with Russia; he did not. There’s a glimmer of good somewhere in there.

The Sri Lanka PM’s residence was just set ablaze. Hours after he resigned. They mean business.

Q: how far is Germany behind?

in reply to: Debt Rattle July 9 2022 #111231

Should have included Sri Lanka today. No fuel, no food. PM declared bankruptcy this morning, then resigned. President fled a dew days ago. Millions in the streets, AND the presidential palace.

Case vs the 16 year old who escaped being killed by police bullet by one inch, is closed. It was for 2nd degree murder. We are all insane, but some more than others.

Dutch police last night fired targeted live rounds at a tractor they claim threatened them. Local sources say that is nonsense, there was never a threat. The driver has been in custody ever since. A bunch of tractors are at the station where he’s held, demanding his release.

He’s all of 16 years old! They fired targeted live rounds at him!The police have large meetings before such events, and the no.1 question is how far can we escalate? Obviously, the answer was live fire was fine. As I said above, the farmers are too popular, and the govt must find something vs that.

Live rounds fired at kids won’t turn that tide though.

Meanwhile, the euro fell to a 20-year low vs the USD today. Almost parity. Everythig denominated in USD -which is a lot- just got a lot more expensive. But then they can just switch to the ruble for their oil and gas, right? Well, there are a few tiny problems with that too.

The Dutch farmers have “unexpectedly” changed tactics today, and now block distribution centers for supermarket chains. Supermarkets complain: there will be no bread tomorrow! Well, that’s sort of the idea, isn’t it? Striking is that media and gov’t can’t get a handle on what to expect next; the tactics are not centralized but “distributed”. Like a blockchain. Farmers say they will keep this up for days. Earlier, fishermen joined the protests, and blocked -smaller- ports. The threat to blocking highways and airports remains.

Bowie/Picasso: I was wondering the other day what would be the best band ever. Never one answer of course. Beatles 61/62 played 10 hour shows in Hamburg. They could play anything. And then stopped and played their own stuff. But they couldn’t because it was pre-PA systems and they couldn’t hear each other.

E Street band: play ‘em a song once and they will play it. Stones: I like them because of Keith. There’s a billion people who play guitar, and you still can tell if it’s him. But yeah, Bowie’s bands, when he had Carlos Alomar, and the insane Earl Slick on top of that, and then added the completely crazy Robert Fripp. That would be my vote.

Yes, this is as stupid as we have become. Ukraine claims age-old school Russian/Polish dishes as their own. I betcha the origin is Jewish to boot.

Beet this: Ukraine wins fight to protect borshch soup

The UN’s cultural agency on Friday inscribed the culture surrounding beetroot soup known as borshch in Ukraine on its list of endangered cultural heritage, a recognition sought urgently by Kviv after its invasion by neighbouring Russia.

Ukraine prizes borshch, a nourishing soup with beetroot as its base, as a national dish even though it is also widely enjoyed in Russia, other ex-Soviet countries and Poland.

The Ukrainian culture of borshch cooking “was today inscribed on UNESCO’s list of intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding,” by a UNESCO committee, it said.

The decision was approved after a fast-track process prompted by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and the “negative impact on this tradition” caused by the war, the agency said.

“People are unable not only to cook or grow local vegetables for borsht, but also to come together” to eat it, “which undermines the social and cultural well-being of communities,” it said, using one of several alternative spellings for the soup.
