The difference between UK energy prices and EU energy prices boils down to one simple fact. The City of London. They knew ahead of time exactly what was going to happen in the UK and acted to capitalize on it. It was like shooting fish in a barrel!
However, Europe was a different kettle of fish. Since the consensus wasn’t so clear, it wasn’t like shooting fish in a barrel. Also the EU is more socialist, so capitalism wasn’t such a sure thing. But they still made a killing.
Europe has employed more floating gas storage and regassification units (GSRU) to help increase winter gas storage levels above 80%. These units help import more LNG.
The foot floor sanders. I have often wondered how wooden floors got sanded smppth in the good old days. I figured many rough saw cut flooring just got smooth by many feet over time. Modern wooden floors come already planed so require very machine sanding to make them smooth. Now you can even buy pre-stained and finished wood flooring.
I guess floor foot sanders simply and quietly disappeared into history, just like the blacksmiths.
Everyone knows NATO has it’s soldiers unofficially fighting in the Ukraine. Many of these NATO soldiers are being given “time credits” from their own militaries, while fighting in the Ukraine.
Notice however, that none of these NATO soldiers ever seem to get killed. In a war, this is simply not possible. So how are these deaths being hidden from their families and the public? One way is via helicopters crashes while training. A single helicopter crash can hide hundreds of deaths. Expect to see many more helicopter deaths.
Areas of the Ukraine that Russia intends to keep, can be easily distinguished, from the areas Russia doesn’t intend to keep. How? Simple. If Ukrainian 1road signs are replaced by Russian road signs. Local Ukrainian banks become Russian banks. Ukrainian money turns into Russian Rubles. Local infrastructure is being rebuilt. If none of these are happening in your neighborhood, then you are out of luck.
Contrary to public reports from the west, the Russians successfully staged an organized retreat starting 8 days before the Ukrainians attacked. The sleeping Russians didn’t leave behind 60 tanks nor any civilians who wanted to leave. In fact a Russian armored vehicle bravely sacrificed itself to protect the last of the leaving civilians.
Now we know why the Ukrainians were able to move forward 32 km so rapidly. They entered a vacuum.
Clearly the Russians laid out a nice welcome mat for the attacking Ukrainians, 4,000 killed, 8.000 wounded. However, the Ukrainian attack survivors still have to figure out a way to survive in their new salient.
One of the reasons Russia decided to retreat from this area is that it contains many wooded areas making it much harder to defend with only a few soldiers. A river is much easier to defend. This area isn’t without some significance. There is a damaged reservoir (slightly south?) on the river that controls water to the Donbas region.
Ukrainian Numbers Game:
Since the west wants to fight a forever war against Russia, the Russians are going to have to start cancelling more than 500 Ukrainians a day. A 1% Ukrainian birth rate can replace 500 cancelled male Ukrainians per day, forever. Th Ukraine’s birth rate is above 1% but below 2%.
Only if more than 1,000 Ukrainians are cancelled each day, will the Ukrainians start having problems replacing their losses.
It is tough to fight a war when your opponent doesn’t care how many Ukrainians he kills fighting you.
The water level in the St. Lawrence River is so low that you can now see the hunger stones! The New York State Department of Resources says the water is low to punish Putin.
Mr. Green Turtle, the president of the Association of Turtles, is very worried about the low water levels as their member’s winter homes will likely freeze. The Governor of New York State said this shouldn’t be a problem as she will ask the banks to print more money to help the turtles buy more water so they can stay warm this winter.
The Governor of New York State is now being called racist by the head of the Association of Fish, Mr. Black Fish.
This so called counter attack by the Ukraine serves only one purpose. Kill a bunch more Ukrainians to try and temporarily change the mood in the west’s unreal virtual world.

Hundreds of Ukrainians died today to gain a wee bit more time. The west is spending billions each day to hurt their own people, all just to punish Russia. Russia is waiting for old man winter to arrive. Then the Ukrainians will have no forests to hide in. Same game plan as always.
As for hillary the evil hunch back bow legged witch, notice all the cosmetics surgery done on that face that could never hide the evil within. That is why TPTB like her so much. There is no evil she wouldn’t gladly do for power. When in power her evil only grows more so.
Burning Candles instead of using light blubs.
Just one slight problem here. The paraffin used in candles consists of hydrocarbons. Hydrocarbons come mainly from oil. Beeswax can be used but there really aren’t enough bees in the world to light up Europe. There are also plant based waxes too. There are also glue factory horses too.
Candles have a brief advantage over electricity. In the beginning candles are priced at the old price before they too will sky rocket in price. But at least you cut out the hopelessly incompetant government monopoly on electricity generation.
Candles can also be very romantic but I don’t think TPTB would approve of more babies being produced. Oh, never mind this, I forgot TPTB have already covered this base with their vaccines providing automatic abortions (miscarrages) in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy.
If you put a candle inside an opened metal can, it does serve as a very nice hand warmer. And if you are not extremely careful, you can also very nicely burn down your dwelling.0
One interesting item of the Ukrainian war that seems to get little notice, is Russia’s consistent ability, day in and day out, is to intercept dozens of Ukrainian fired missiles, both ex-Soviet and US missiles. This of course proves the Ukrainians are winning hands down.
Russia is fighting this war in such a way that the US/NATO are being forced to spend billions of dollars every day to fight Russia. The Ukraine desperately keeps throwing poorly armed and trained cannon folder into the frontlines, just to buy a little more time. Russia is quite content to leave the eastern frontlines intact as long as fresh Ukrainian cannon fodder keeps arriving to replace yesterday’s dead cannon fodder.
Russia is quite happy to prolong this war for as long as the US/NATO wants the war to last.
Many are unaware of how the Russians are fighting this war in the Ukraine. For Russia the one commodity they are the most short of, is infantrymen. Yes, you read that correctly! However, Russia has plenty of very good artillery! So that is exactly how they are fighting!
The Russians put very few soldiers on their frontlines. Their mobile units are held back, mostly out of harms way. The Russians are letting their artillery do most, if not all of of the fighting.
If the Ukrainians attack in force, the Russian front forces simply fall back while the artillery does it’s deadly business. If the Ukrainians continue attacking in force, the Russians simply fall back some more as their artillery goes about it’s usual business.
Once the Ukrainians have exhausted themselves as cannon fodder, then the Russians hit them from both sides of the advance, cutting off any means of retreat. Then it becomes a simple&⁸ turkey shoot. Then the Russians reoccupie their previous frontline. Wash and Rinse.
Ukrainians lose hundreds of soldiers (but gain time). The Russians lose very few soldiers because there is very little man to man encounters because the Russians insist upon fighting the war from a safe distance.
If a Ukrainian frontline becomes mostly devoid of soldiers, only then will Russian mobile forces move in to mop up what’s left of the Ukrainians. Those still resisting inside fortifications, etc. get quickly roasted.
Russian military leaders have been told to take their sweet time. There is no hurry. Actually the slower the better.
Meanwhile the west is winning by going bankrupt!
Notice that our leaders are not backing down. Instead they are doubling down. Protests will not deter them.
The western created energy shortage and economic war against Russia, I suspect, is just cover for bringing in central bank digital currencies under the disguise of national security.
Creating an energy shortage will supposedly highlight the need for countries to greatly increased their investments in new energy systems.
If this investment is left to private investors, the government will have little control over what energy systems get built and how the money is spent to do so.
However, if the need for investments is nicely swept under the “national security” umbrella, as expected, then the government gets to control the types of energy systems that get built. To ensure the money only gets spent as desired by the government, this is where central bank digital currencies come into play.
Digital currencies would allow the government 100% control over who gets the money and who does not get this money. This self created energy crisis is just the perfect excuse needed to for the government to launch central bank currencies.
Conspiracy Theory:
The magnetic north pole moving from Canda/US to Russia is signifying a shift in world power from the new world to the old world. It is all about magnetic power! Putin is magnetic! Joe not so much.
The Mississippi River map:
Notice that the watershed area for the greatest amount of fresh water anywhere in the world, the 5 Great Lakes, all comes from Canada. Only the shoreline areas on the US side of the Great Lakes, drain into the lakes. Almost all of the continental US’s watershed area drains into the Mississippi. Chicago fills it’s toilets with Lake Michigan water and flushes it down the Mississippi!

In a zerohedge article, it shows US life expectancy has been falling in the last 2 years. On the graph shown, it looks like the average US life expectancy has fallen from above 78 years down to about 76 years. Or a fall over over 2 years in the last 2 years.
Ivermectin could have prevented that from happening but profits for a few people is much more important than deaths of millions of people.

I was reading that China is going to put a solar station in orbit and then beam the power back to earth. Boy that will really upset the global warming folks as this will add more energy to the earth than we normally get!
However this idea isn’t new. NASA thought about it too a while ago. If you think about it, this idea is crazy as hell! We can not even breakeven on solar panels back here on earth, never mind use a shit load of fossil fuel to send a solar panel into orbit! A real bat crazy idea! And in China of all places!
This afternoon we lost power to the island cottage. A short time later we got hit with a brief thunderstorm with heavy rains and high winds. I am guessing the storm knocked out power somewhere to the west of us before the storm hit us. The winds flipped over our 35 foot catwalk to the floating dock and knocked down a number of trees. I have now righted the catwalk using nylon straps and a chain hoist.
We are on Elon Musk’s Starlink internet. It went down with the lost of power but I have rigged up an inverter to the lawn tractor’s battery to restore internet. The inverters fan is coming on fairly frequently so Elon Musk seems to use a fair amount of power. So how long this battery lasts we will find out soon enough!
Well the first battery didn’t last 15 minutes before the inverter beeped in agony before shutting down due to low battery voltage of 11.6 vdc! So now a second battery is giving it’s best effort.
Trudeau is one of those who believes the little people should sacrifice themselves for his benefit. Flying in a Canadian made Challerger jet wasn’t good enough for him. Now his highness flies in a large Airbus jet plane.

Yes, I have noticed that global cooling seems to have suddenly and unexpectedly arrived, in our neck of the woods, very recently.
So far I have been able to be outdoors in just a T-shirt and shorts. But if our climate continues to cool at its current rate, this rapid cooling trend will soon resemble an inverted hockey stick.
This sudden gobal cooling trend greatly concerns me because then I will soon be forced to wear pants and a jacket or I might soon go extinct!
I have to wonder if the culprit to blame is a sudden fall in our CO2 levels?
Maybe I need to start collecting more firewood. Maybe if I start burning some firewood now, I might be able to reverse this sudden global cooling?
Climate Change:
I see TPTB have no problem sacrificing their climate change narrative in Eiurope to fight a war with Russia.

Being from a mining family, I dig rocks! And them there rocks told me that the earth has warmed and cooled millions of times during Earth’s( history. So yeah, the climate is always changing. And if you disagree with me, then I am going to dump a big pile of rocks on you, until you come around!
Climate change is just another way TPTB are using, to control us serfs. There is no shortage of energy. TPTB are just creating energy shortages to better control us. If there was a real energy shortage the western TPTBs wouldn’t be expending tons of energy fighting endless wars to control the world.
In a real energy shortage there wouldn’t be enough energy to for TPTB to make bombs, etc. Western TPTBs are fighting eastern TPTBs to control the world. There is no shortage of energy for this battle.
And if you still disagree with me, then I will dump 30 cubic meters of rock, in under 30 seconds, on your head to straighten you out!

Problem:
The only reason Canadian energy and food prices are rising is because of Trudeau’s war on Canadian energy and farmers.
Russian sanctions have nothing to do with this. This is a “Made in Canada” problem created by Trudeau’s insane belief in the WEF’s green madness.
Solution:
Save on high energy and food costs by taking an extended vacation south this winter, to a sane country not practicing the WEF’s insane green madness. That is also where you will find the Davos crowd hanging out every winter.

Biden in the finest of democratic party tradition, has just bailed out his banker friends by empty the public treasury to the tune of $400 billion, disguised as student loan forgiveness. Colleges are happily raising their fees by the same amount. Everybody wins except the taxpayers.
Russian Sanctions:
One curious aspect of the Ukrainian War is how all the previously neutral countries of Switzerland, Ireland, Sweden, and Finland suddenly abandoned their long time neutrality and quickly imposed sanctions on Russia. I am guess the US read them the riot act.
What is also very interesting is that most of the rest of the world refused to go along with US demands for sanctions on Russia. Thus the US need for the 4 European neutrals to show their support.
Casualty Figures:
New casualty figure for the Ukraine and Russia have come out. Russian losses are nearly 5,300 killed. This figure likely comes indirectly from counting local death notices and funerals. Current casualties have dropped down to about 30 killed per week.
Ukrainian losses are 76,000 killed. However one must keep in mind Ukrainian commanders have a huge financial incentive to not report any of their soldiers as killed. They get to collect the dead soldier’s paycheck. Current Ukrainian casualties are at least 600 killed per week. More likely much higher. If 76,000 is true, then after 6 months that works out to almost 3,000 killed per week. Ukrainians reported only 44,000 injuried which is hard to believe, unless the Ukrainians are just leaving their seriously wounded to die. That is entirely possible in an artillery type war.
Europe:
If electricity in Europe is equal to $1,000 per barrel of oil, then I would just buy the oil and burn it to run my own generator. In other words if the TPTB’s power system is that corruptly expensive, I would just replace it with my own private system. But then taking a long vacation down south might be more enjoyable.

If you are Germany, completely controlled and occupied by the US, then it makes perfect sense to ensure your own military is hopelessly weak, so it can’t be used by the US as cannon fodder like the Ukraine.
O.K. I know I am not the brightest bulb in the Euroland neighborhood but faced with such high energy costs this coming winter, might it make more sense to simply shut off the water supply into your home, drain the water pipes, shut off the heat, and then shut off the electricity, using the money saved to pay for your trip south to a warmer place?
My Father was never a serious drinker. He might have a little Portuguese wine with his spaghetti and meat sauce on Sunday. In retirement, at the cottage during the summer, my Mom insututed “Happy Hour” issuing Dad a shot of rum to slow him down as she felt he sometimes worked too hard. The rum dosage depended upon my Mom’s nursing judgement.
But my Father was no stranger when it came to dealing with alcoholics! Actually part of his work, mining exploration in northern Quebec/Labrador, greatly depended upon employing acoholic drillers!
Exploration drill camps by their very nature are located in the middle of nowhere, accessible only by air. My Father naturally controlled the company’s large fleet of float planes, Beavers, Otters, and Norsemen.
The trick was to fly these alcoholics into the remote drill camps and waiting until their suitcase carried alcohol ran out. So for the first week or so you let them drink and party until the camp drank itself dry! Once sober, most of these fellows made very good hard working drillers.
Early in my Father’s mining career his boss sent him from Labrador to northern Ontario to recruit drillers. He successfully rounded up a dozen experienced drillers. Then his problems began. The train would stop for a short time at each major town along the way from Ontario to the south shore of Quebec’s Gaspe region.
Naturally at each stop, the thirsty drillers would leave the train and go into the town’s bars and pubs to get a drink. The train would blow it’s whistle a few minutes before leaving to give departed passengers time to reboard the train before it left the railway station. My Father would then try to round up all of his drunk drillers and get them aboard the train.
Slowly but surely my Father started losing drillers, especially in places that had multiple pubs and bars. By the time he returned to Labrador he only had 3 out of 12 drillers left! When my Father reported to his boss how few he had managed to successfully bring back, he fully expected to get blasted! His boss complemented him for a 50% improvement over the previous years drillers recruitment!
In future years, my Father now the boss, had the company’s DC-3 fly the drillers to Labrador avoiding trains at all costs!

When my Father lived in Saskatchewan in the 1930s, every few months the local Mountie left town for a few days to go visit headquarters in Moose Jaw. No sooner had the train pulled out of the railway station, stills came out of hiding as the townsfolk busied themselves brewing their next batch of moonshine!
When the Mountie returned, the stills were all nicely taken down and hidden again. Serious drinkers counted down the days until the Mountie’s next headquarters visit!

Thanks. I am familiar with cochlear ear implants as a friend has them. Sadly he lost the last of his hearing the evening of our wedding. There is a very big adjustment period after these inplants, not something I really want to think about for now.
For the time being my remaining hearing is superior to that of cochlear implants. So I am not yet a candidate for a cochlear implant. Hopefully not for many more years.
Presently it is my very poor eye sight that is the most troubling to me.
I have Ushers Syndrome which means the nerve cells in both my eyes and ears (same type of cell) are slowly dying off, one by one. Both parents had recessive gene and even then it is only 1 in 4 chance. Both my brother and sister are fine. I luckly seem to have gotten the slowest version as most are deaf and blind by their twenties.
When growing up my family was puzzled as to why I was hard of hearing as there was no family history of hearing lost. I only solved the mystery when I was in my early fifties!
The eye doctor I saw asked me how I got to his office in downtown Toronto? I said I drove down! He was flabbergasted! He then suggested I let my wife drive me home! He said I was more than a little bit legally blind. The only vision I had left was in the very center of my eye. I had no prolifferal vision. Nicely he also didn’t report me to the government but I quit driving anyway.
My wife had a much more difficult time adjusting though as she continued to try and set me up so I would have to drive. It took about a month to finally convince her!
Regarding churches, they have little in common with many TAEs simply because we are not Kool-Aid drinkers. Nor do we like being told what to do either!
I was raise by a religious Father so we had to attend Sunday School every week. As I grew older I slowly managed to whittle it down from every week to 3 out of 4 weeks. Then 2 out of 4 weeks. Then 1 week out of 4 weeks. Once I headed to college it became 0 out of 4 weeks!
Being hard of hearing, I could never understand what was being said so I found it extremely boring having to sit through an hour of noise.
Early in my work career I oftened worked 7 days a week so going to church quickly faded away in the rear view mirror. I don’t miss it at all and have never subjected my children to the same torture I experienced. I prefer my Sundays to rest at home or at the cottage.
However if someone wanted to simply abolish religion, I would object on grounds of freedom of choice. One should be free to be religious or not to be religious. Some find value, some not.
Since our world is full of self-serving hypocrites, Dr. D is our very own giant hypocrite killer!
P.S. I think someone just got out on the wrong side of the bed this morning. It happens from time to time with us older folks!
It seems like the worst the war goes for the Ukraine, the more unbelievable and unreal the news out of the Ukraine is becoming. Just like the news in Germany as the tide of the war turned against Germany in WW2. Reality is hard to swallow for the woke folks.
Ukrainian nazis executing their own soldiers can not forestall reality.
A Donbas military leader has claimed the Ukrainians have suffered 200,000 dead and 300.000 wounded. The war is almost 6 months old or 180 days. It is possible these figures are in the ball park. But who knows? The Russians are not talking and the Ukrainians are lying.
Their is no freedom left in the Ukraine for Ukrainians. I have noticed that more Ukrainians seeking to escape to freedom, instead of heading west, are now instead heading to Russia. They say they are going to rescue grandma in Russian held territory and bring her back to the Ukraine. But their cars are loaded up with everything they own.
