Has anyone else noticed reduced activity on the Internet this morning, especially on certain sites?

A number of my RSS feeds are showing little if any new activity, especially later in the day. I went to the websites and checked for new posts directly, and there are noticeable fewer in number. I’ve also noticed a reduced comment load. The posts here at TAE seem to be reduced today also.

    @absolutegalore

And here I am the only person I ever knew that got a box of Captain Crunch for Christmas. And I was allowed to eat the entire box in a single sitting!

“The World Economic Forum Young Global Leaders Selection Process Explained”

I read just a few days ago that none of the members of the YGL “club” lists that fact as part of his/her CV. Couple this fact with the rigorous (and presumably competitive) selection process each of them goes through, and one has to ask why all of these who so highly regard themselves would not want to draw attention to their membership.

I doubt if I need to help along anyone’s imagination.

“ Bill Gates-Linked Lab Developing Vaccine that Spreads Like a Virus (NP)”

Can’t see it happening—no money in it. Mr. Bill always plunks for patent protection and “pfarma” profits. A strange way for a “philanthropist” to act…

Seeing the obscene deployment of mounted police against a peaceful crowd at the Ottawa protest reminded me of the scene in the movie “Doctor Zhivago” where cossacks are sent to charge into peaceful demonstrators.

Dr. D: That Guardian article is rather amazing, but mostly because of where it was published rather than what is in it.

I wonder if this is another sign of a frenzied retreat by the PTB on these issues.

@Germ: Thanks for the link to the draft CA bill. How are you finding out about these? This is the second CA bill in the last few days that I had not heard about. I live in CA and certainly would like to know if there is an easy way to keep track of this stuff.

FWIW, I have posted comments to the author on each of the two bills (opposing them) and also sent a personal message to my assemblyman, one of the few conservatives in the state assembly.

@Veracious Poet says: “If the trucker’s protest was supported by the ‘people’ there would have been millions in Ottawa’s streets, everyday.” Just so. So what can be done?

My immediate thought was something I remembered about Gandhi, along the lines of “fill the jails, they don’t have room for all the millions of us.” Standing firm and forcing authorities to perform thousands and thousands of arrests would seriously strain the system. But it is a big ask, and likely needs much larger numbers.

How about if all those truckers just started driving back and forth across the bridge, turning around for a return trip as soon as they reach the other side. Drive s-l-o-w-l-y. The unvaxxed ones would have to be stopped or turned around. Maybe a bunch of the others could have “problems” that require a pull-over and inspection. Seems like the border checkpoint could get quickly overwhelmed…

Although I realize that we don’t really live in much of a functioning democracy any more, but another good start would be heavy punishment both at the polls and via public pressure against ANYONE connected in ANY way with a WEF “Young Global Leader” alumnus, or with anything WEF-related for that matter. Apply heavy pressure to your lawmakers and oppose any nominee who is within 2 or 3 handshakes of any of these people.

When I read today about CNN analyst Juliette Kayyem, (“Slash the tires, empty gas tanks, arrest the drivers, and move the trucks.”), I had an amusing thought. Any such people who support the PTB narrative seem to get left alone and allowed to spew these thoughts freely in broadcasts, videos, social media, and even personal appearances (think, for example, Turdeau’s remarks in Quebec about “tolerating” the unvaxxed). Meanwhile, the (so-called) “hate speech” is being censored and the “perpetrators” locked out of their accounts. It seems like the group that is pumping out the hate ought to be pretty obvious by now to most people. If I had the skills, I could splice together an amazing video of dozens of these “2 minutes of hate” type things–it might get a few people thinking about who it is they want to prevail in all this.

@sumac.carol: My apologies if I came off as mean, but when I visited that counter-protest website, it struck me as being chiefly about Ottowans who were upset with the “inconvenience of hosting the out-of-towners” throwing in a little bit of the other more common all-purpose protest baggage in an attempt to lower the whine.

@sumac.carol: This looks like a toothless protest, and nowhere in their “clearly stated position” does it call for any kind of end to mandates, which is the real Big Ticket item that the trucker protest is intended to address. This is just another garden-variety leftist demonstration that doesn’t really speak to anything that is unique about this particular point in time and history.

You seem more focused on distancing yourself from those you don’t like than in finding common cause where you can, and that’s just not going to work here. Having this movement disintegrate into a hundred tiny little counter-protests is exactly what our “masters” want and need…

@those darned kids: Yesterday you posted a link to “weekly covid deaths before and after mass vaccination campaigns by country:”

I saw it yesterday and went back today to fetch it so I could share, but it has been taken down. I think I’ve seen this before somewhere–anywhere else you know of that it is posted?

Point taken on the actual number of “trucks” being an exaggeration. What IS clearly visible, however, are the thousands of people who took time out of their lives, and braved a Canadian winter (and not just in Ottawa itself but all along the route), to show their support for this movement. Every politico and pollster watching knows that there are hundreds at home cheering for each one that is on the street.

That is the true meaning of what is going on–the part you cannot readily see in a few photos but that everyone knows exists.

Someone posted the following link yesterday:

Over the several months or so I’ve seen a few reports from people claiming to have found foreign substances in vaccine samples. At least two that I can remember (counting this latest one now) have pictures. It seems to me that the obvious next step is to examine a blood sample from someone who has received the jab, but to my knowledge no one has done that.

It is interesting that the website on which the pictures were posted (the above is an archive) seems to have been locked or taken down. The archived page has a couple of entries from September 2020, and the linked entry above is dated January 29, 2022, but if you now try to access the website directly, all you get are 403 errors.

Mr. Roboto: I thought this Texas vaccine was interesting too. Then I saw that Peter Hotez was involved, and that made me suspicious. That guy has been all over the airwaves since COVID began, pumping the conventional vaxx as hard as he can.

I believe I read just today that Young sold the rights to 50% of his work some time ago, hence cannot unilaterally stop Spotify from carrying them.

BTW, if you have been frustrated by the results you’ve gotten with talking your friends and/or loved ones “off the ledge”, I read what I thought was a rather insightful take on why this is (I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that it seems obvious in retrospect):

Too late for anyone already ill (sorry @figmund), but anyone contemplating the eventual use of IVM need not rely on the “horse dewormer” version. IVM for human consumption can be easily ordered from on-line sellers in places like India.

The FDA is rumored to be coordinating with the Post Office (I’m speaking of the US here) to attempt intercepting incoming international shipments, but this has not been my personal experience. All cases of held-up shipments I’ve read about have involved large amounts (in excess of 100 pills, for example). I have slowly accumulated our stash by ordering 30 or 40 pills at a time, and so far I’ve received four or five shipments successfully, with none intercepted. Now I have enough to supply not only my own family, but was able to help out a family friend in dire need a couple of months ago.

You won’t want to wait until you need IVM to order it, since it takes anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks to receive it. My own strategy has been to wait until I receive an order, then immediately re-order the next day to get another batch on the way. On one particular occasion, 6 weeks went by with no sign of the order, and when I contacted the vendor, they immediately shipped me a replacement order at no cost, no questions asked. Eventually both the original order and the replacement showed up, and I squared it with them the next day. So far, a totally good experience, and thankfully, we ourselves have not needed it so far (knock on wood!).

“Repeated COVID boosters not viable strategy against new variants, WHO warns”

As the virus evolves and until new vaccines are available, “the composition of current Covid-19 vaccines may need to be updated”, the group said.

According to the WHO, 331 candidate vaccines are being worked on around the world. The UN health agency has so far given its stamp of approval to versions of eight different vaccines….

Earlier this week, Pfizer Inc chief executive Albert Bourla said a redesigned Covid-19 vaccine that specifically targets the Omicron variant is likely to be needed and his company could have one ready to launch by March.

Sneaking in by the back door, never mentioned, is the normalizing of the concept that new vaccines will be developed and approved in just a few months. Recall the video of the meeting where Fauci and others discussed the need to implement some kind of “jolt” to the system so that they could disrupt the current development paradigm that requires around 10 years to develop and test a new vaccine. The above text is essentially announcing “Mission Accomplished” in that respect, a fact apparently going unnoticed but that may have actually been a major goal of this entire circus.

Definitely agree w/respect to Europe, but it’s well known by now that the EU is essentially an “administratively managed” state. But in the US, for any that might say otherwise, this is the best evidence that the Administrative State is (at least temporarily?) in the ascendant here as well.

I finally managed to carve out 3 hours yesterday afternoon and watched the Joe Rogan interview with Dr. Malone. If I could get any of my blue-pilled friends and relatives to watch JUST ONE THING, this would be that thing.

Just the other day I realized something that should have been obvious some time ago. There are two statements from Biden that have been sticking in my mind because they were so jarring. One was the “we’re losing our patience with you” blurb, and the other was the more recent one about “the winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated.” To me they are virtually unprecedented–no one in high political office in a functioning democracy would dare to speak to voters in such a way.

What they are, I realized, are the kind of tone-deaf and imperious statements that an unelected administrator would make. They lack a sense of “what sells” in the same way as many of those obscene tweets from the World Economic Forum (remember “lockdowns are quietly making cities better”–I’m sure we can all think of others).

This makes it clear that Biden is just reading what some administrator is writing for him.

“Just the fact that they feel they need to re-state it says enough…”CDC Insists Benefits Of mRNA Vaccines Still “Clearly Outweigh” Risks (ZH)”

I had the same thought back in the late 1980s when I started noticing signs posted at my local Savings & Loan stating: “Your deposits are protected by the full faith and credit of the United States government.”
