Appreciate the Trump speech in New Hampshire, but still neither sure of who I will vote for, nor if the Kafkaesque powers that be will allow a peasant vote such as mine to count. Orlov says the US plebiscite is meaningless at this stage in the ongoing slowmo imperial/industrial collapse we are all living through, and I tend to believe the man. With all viable candidates in the Zionist camp, for me it is a choice between putting bioweaponry and corporate fascism (Kennedy) or weaponized DC Uniparty monsters (Trump) at the top of the issues list.
But increasingly it feels like a pointless side show, a distraction from what could really help. Corruption and careerism and cowardice reigns at all levels of government in this country; at least in blue states like here in Oregon, there are very few of any beacons of hope at the federal, state, county or city levels.
I get the same sick feeling in my stomach from parts of that Trump speech that I get all the time when reading the stories on Zerohedge, etc. The US is no longer in a position to either “allow” or disallow China or Iran or Russia to do or not do anything they want. We have already squandered any.moral authority and any position as benevolent global actor that we may have once had, and are just now in the painfully slow process of waiting for the other shoe to drop. Like something from Sun Tzu, it feels like the best way forward would be to take a step back, but the US Imperial Machine has no neutral or reverse gear.
I will pray that the disruptors and Lake and Trump and Kennedy types will have some impact, but try like many others to make movement in the things I can control on a local scale instead. There was a standing room-only crowd at our small town city council meeting last night, and 90% of the speakers were 180 degrees off from the consensus of the politicians. Eventually, there will be a mass of suc events that will turn the page, but will we still have the integrity and decorum to work together on solutions instead of just tearing each other down? What forces can arouse such things in a mob of justifiably angry people?

Gas is only $3.35 or so here in Southern Oregon right now, the lowest in a long time but nobody comments. 9th circuit court just threw a monkey wrench in city efforts to curtail homeless camping in parks and on sidewalks. My monthly letters to OR officials blasting them for Covid authoritarianism and harms reached 35 yesterday, I am getting better and artsier as time goes by. Feels lately like at least some of the mama bear Team Hillary types not in bed with the teachers unions, OHA or medical industrial complex might be slowly waking up now, as their leftist children and social media feeds blow up with chants about Bloody Blinken and Genocide Joe, and people of all stripes being debilitated by nonstop persistent colds and flu.
The heart aches for community, and even fantasy island guests are growing weary of the party now. It wants to fall apart and lay down for a rest. The No Hate signs in the front yard no longer working their charms on the youngsters.

This may be old news, and and I have not read all the comments above, but fyi I am constantly getting redirected to spammy red-lettered threat links, sometimes a car or drug ad but mostly “you are unsafe click here for protection” type stuff, when I click on ANY Twitter post or the “play” buttons on an embedded Twitter video. So far a quick backswipe returns me to TAE and the second attempt will load or play the content, but it literally happens now every single time I try to watch or play something on the first attempt. And just on TAE, not zerohedge, RT, global research, anti-war.com, etc.
Have noticed that the initial address that pops up with each redirect is grandiose-sort.com, which then quickly feeds into another page. Feels more disruptive and harassing than commercial.
I am not techy or interested enough to worry much about the specifics, nor do I pretend to know the reason if there is any, but this particular glitch does not feel like a glitch. My guess is TAE has been targeted now as problematic, or maybe just still and again, but I’m a pretty fast backswiper so no big deal for now. Just sharing my experience in case others are getting the same thing.

Anecdote: wore my red official Kennedy 2024 on a day-long shopping and leisure trip to Eugene, OR last weekend. Three dirty looks, one clerk at the fancy millennial aquascaping store refused to speak with me after sneering at the shirt and walking away, and the nice cashier lady at Albertsons who told me that she was a Republican but very happy to see Bobby Jr. in the race, and would be proud to vote for him, she teared up a little at the end of our chat and muttered something about 1968.

We have all been soaking in war machine propaganda all our lives, and the propaganda sells well on both sides of the aisle. Some people still believe the US beat the Nazis in WWII, that the US is a beacon of freedom and democracy, and that Ronald Reagan and Barack Obama were good presidents, or indeed that this Satanic sinkhole we call a country has any right to tell any other country a single thing, let alone bomb or sanction them into dust while laughing smugly to ourselves the whole time that nothing is happening.
Shame is right. Shame on every one of us who chose cheap gas, automobility and the other material trappings of imperial tribute and plunder over human rights and the principles enshrined in the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the UN Charter for most or all of our lives. I could go on but you get the point.

A dear old friend I have known since meeting him at the Metro on Broadway in downtown Portland in 1986, before they tore down all the old nearby movie palaces, is basically the only triple-jabbed wokester I still consider a friend post-Covid. He is an open-minded, kind, loving soul with Vanity Fair and Financial Times subscriptions, put himself through Reed on merit scholarships, and is always up for a friendly policy or political debate. All in all a warm and good person who has been brutally lied to and deceived.
I take no joy in his accelerating health problems with shingles, gout, and just recently a new cancer scare that as yet lacks specifics. I mourn for his betrayal by a corrupt government, media and political culture. I sympathize and stand in horror and indignation at what we have all allowed to happen. I pray for his health and joy, giving thanks for our friendship and time together.

Technically this is Obama’s FOURTH term we are in the middle of right now. Obama has kept control of the DOJ, FBI, CIA, State Department and DNC machine since he left office with a smirk in January 2017. The BLM-ANTIFA gestapo work for him, as does the Big Pharma division inside the FDA, CDC and NIH. And he does not expect to lose going forward.
