This is a very interesting perspective on the motivations of the Israeli push to eliminate the people in Gaza.

This essay by Fabio Vighi gives some insight as to why TPTB seem determined to steal from the poor.

Gradually, Then Suddenly? Crisis Capitalism and Its Disavowals

As the gap between real capital and fictitious credit widens, so does the potential for systemic collapse. At the same time, transnational capital has no other option except try to control the narratives that guarantee a continuous supply of credit. Here, then, is the paradox introduced at the start of the essay: for the credit chains to continue to stretch into the future, the real economy must be radically downsized. In order to survive its own devastating contradiction, hyper-financialized capitalism must limit and regulate real demand by turning the screw on the work society. In this kind of New Normal, the combination of impoverishment and revolt is met with mass-scale media manipulation, behavioral conditioning, and social engineering. Today, the ‘curious copulation’[ii] between science and capital brings about not only a fatal crisis of valorisation, but also the dematerialisation of the real as such, with codes and algorithms working as master signifiers for the ideological restructuring of social reality.

A big thank you to D Benton Smith from yesterday #133465.
It is a shock to realize that I have a culture – my family’s way of doing things that goes back the many generations that we know about. The food we eat, the way we dress to go out, the rituals of birthdays, the Christian celebrations through the year, the meaning of giving to others. Lots of things!
Now I see where the enemy is— in plain English it is called Cancel Culture and we did not recognize the significance of the words!
Horrifying to see that this “cult” is operating in plain sight and we allow it to sweep over us without saying a word. School boards were early targets and we did not stand up to the lone individuals who challenged the new orthodoxy.
I hope that it is not too late.

Elizabeth Nickson had a good rant today about the US Department of Defense. https://elizabethnickson.substack.com/p/the-us-department-of-defence-declares
And today Red referred to a Global Research article about the failure of — what — the DOD?
“The level of incompetence in the planning of this war is beyond anything we’ve ever seen before.”

I would like to speculate (and hope that the TAE commenters can follow up on it) that the problem is something as banal as type of organization that has swept the world and that appears invisible. There is a large body of research on what happens to people who function in a bureaucracy. These are two examples of the manifest failure of such a structure.
It is up to us to cobble together another way of managing complexity Or is that (managing) the problem, and acceptance of complexity another way.

What the media reports on energy is as much “The Science” as it is on Covid and the climate. We better start questioning everything about it, or we’ll be as wrong about it as we were about Covid. With equally damaging consequences. Or worse.

Now this is very frightening. “the end of oil” has been in our faces for a long long time. Many of us have trusted Richard Heinberg and Alice Friedemann for years. In all fairness, who can we turn to for information on the inexhaustible oil supply available to us now?

Yup. I agree. I watched Edward Dowd today and I think that he is on the same page. All rotten out there and somehow we, the small percent who can still think, have to take action. Small steps but just speaking the truth whenever we can. Out loud to all the people we talk to! It sounds scary but “nothing ventured, nothing gained.”

These links to sites that expose the power of BlackRock and others are useful. (Sarcastically) I can say that it is wonderful that they can keep the simulation of Western Civilization running as long and as well as they do. But I wonder what they will do when they too run out of fuel. There is a brick wall in front of us and diesel fuel is powering us into it.

I would like some help here. The paper by Fabio Vighi

A Self-Fulfilling Prophecy: Systemic Collapse and Pandemic Simulation

boldly states “Rather, SARS-CoV-2 – which, by admission of the CDC and the European Commission has never been isolated nor purified –

I read the two references and they seem to be about how to certify different machines to detect something. Protocols and calibrations etc. Can someone here clarify this please?
There have been other references to studies that say that what the PCR test picks up are “genetic sequences” that may or may not be from a real virus.
It seems to me that clarity about the actual virus is more important than worrying about masks and mandates.

My head hurts. This is getting serious– cognitive dissonance on steroids. 1. The virus was not dangerous and the world wide death rate does not show significant increase. (R. Fuellmich and others). 2. We courageous physicians have battled this serious virus with our winning protocols (FLCCC etc.).

Thank you for the “on topic” comments today.

I have a complaint about the mural. What it represents is a failure of the imagination. As such it is “cute” but it is hurtful to children and adults. Just because all the stuff that we littered the planet with, falls into the ocean, does not mean that life and the planet end. I think that Caitlin said this a while ago, we need to imagine the next days, years, lifetimes—what happens when the endless junk disappears? We and the planet do not end. Think of this- that for 130 million years dinosaurs lived, ate well and raised families. They disappeared but the planet trundled on.

I thought of an image like this: We are standing on the grass holding a plastic cup and straw. The oil in the cup is almost gone, we drank it all, so we toss the cup and walk to a well to join the group drawing fresh water for our day. Now how do we get to that point?

I am not sure that I can express this clearly but here goes.. There is one aspect of the silence surrounding effective treatments that is not mentioned in these comments. What does “cancel culture” mean to you? What does “wokeness” mean? My thought is that the deeply felt, internalized, identity of most people working in bureaucracies world wide is that their purpose is to maintain a type of unity. It is a belief system! Along this line, Julius Ruechel wrote this in March “Over the past few decades a gradual philosophical shift replaced our value system built around inalienable individual rights with a value system focused on maximising the “greater good” for the majority, known as utilitarianism, which leaves the crowd uniquely vulnerable to falling prey to fear and false propaganda”.

I suspect that there are grouips in several/many countries starting the process of filing lawsuits against their governments and health agencies. In Canada Rocco Galati is assembling information:
    https://www.constitutionalrightscentre.ca/anti-vaxxers-anti-maskers-file-11m-lawsuit-against-trudeau/

In Europe Reiner Fuellmich calls the pandemic false and a crime against humanity.

I am sure that there are other centres preparing lawsuits! We just don’t seem to have a site where we can get this kind of information on our country and state or province so that we can add our names to support the legal action.

Here is something for everyone to chew on, David Martin (see his TED talk) has studied the information about the Pfizer and Moderna products and come to a stunning conclusion. They are not actually vaccines as we understand the word. Example the polio vaccine. Instead the new products are therapies which help control the symptoms of the virus. Not to prevent the spread or anything like that. Take a look:

From the widely respected voice of Dr Mercola:
Why the Rise in COVID-19 Cases Is Irresponsibly Misleading
Isn’t it obvious that counting cases is a function of the number of tests being done and the finding that being “positive” means very little. Please stop this fixation with numbers Raul.
Two things are driving the numbers of positive tests skyward, yet neither suggest an impending onslaught of deaths may be around the corner. In fact, the most recent data is good news and reinforces the idea that the fatality rate is no longer cause for panic.

It alarms me that the new taboo about distancing and fearfulness is coming at a time when solidarity and group strength will be important for the functioning of our new way of being.

The present taboo is that we must fear other people. They are the source of a mysterious illness that is killing people around the globe in enormous numbers. No one is immune and there is no treatment against this threat.

We are seeing two contradictory responses the virus. At one and the same time, globally, we have adopted a taboo that separates us. In addition this is done in the sense that we are caring for each other, a form of service to the larger whole.

    Fear and service.

But there is still one taboo that is still too dangerous to talk about. In my opinion what the new virus has done is to expose a deeply held belief system that we must not challenge. One of the tenets of this system is that profits will be maximized by paying the absolute minimum amount of money to get work done by people. In North America this means importing young women from other countries to staff nursing homes, their young men to work in fields and meat processing plants, and efficiently locking up criminals in high density jails and young people in super sized efficient schools.

This belief system is, I think, called neo-liberalism.

This is such a taboo subject that the doctors and epidemiologists and modellers did not see and anticipate how a shared economic belief would enable a pandemic.

Thank you for all your work Raul. Willis Eschenbach has looked at the contagion on the Diamond Princess https://wattsupwiththat.com/2020/03/16/diamond-princess-mysteries/
and the situation in Italy https://wattsupwiththat.com/2020/03/24/the-italian-connection/
    To quote him:
First, it lets us know what we need to do to prevent the Italian outcome. We have to, must, keep the virus out the medical system.
Second, it cautions us to not claim that everyone who tests positively for COVID-19 after death actually died FROM the disease. They may very well have died WITH the disease.
Finally, the other reason it’s encouraging that Italy’s infection is likely nosocomial is that it removes Italy as the mysterious bogeyman of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, it points to just what we have to do.
