I am incredibly sad for all of you having to make terrible tough choices in this madness. My own situation is insulated fir a number of reasons (income generation, remote location, connected with other small organic farmers and back-to-the landers who have no use fir the vaccine). Why am I saying this? Because I still find the situation incredibly stressful with the propaganda etc. I really can’t imagine the stress some of you are enduring and you are in my thoughts.
Re antidote for the vaccine: I believe some synch info has already been provided. However I listened to a very authoritative interview conducted by Mercola speaking to an MIT scientist and they were discussing one of the key impacts of the vaccine on the body (I don’t recall the technical jargon) but it was along the lines of reducing the body’s ability to get rid of dead or damaged immune system cells. One of the recommendations to help the body get rid of these old cells is time-limited eating. This consists of only eating within sn 8 hour window. This gives the body 16 hours each day in which to cleanse itself. Something for the involuntarily backed to try.
On the broken supply chains: we desperately need to relocalize if only to reduce the energy consumed unmoving stuff massive distances just to enable the oligarchs to maximize profits. Maybe this is going to give us a push to take relocalization more seriously.

Unions of Canada’s federal police force and of Toronto’s police force are coming out against vaccine mandates that have been rolled out for their members. This is an important place for resistance – practically and for its setting of an example.

Phoenix Voice: your disappointment with the political wannabes at anti-vax rallies resonated with me. Politicians going against the main COVID narratives seem to be taking this position a purely as opportunists. Examples: Randy Hillier was kicked out of our provincial Conservative party for making fun of parents of autistic kids. At the federal level, the only anti-vax party advocates for a pretty disappointing package including stopping sending money to poor countries, reducing immigration, ramping up the oil and gas sector, and allowing for privatization of healthcare. I don’t get a sense from either of these guys that they have a deep concern for health of the citizenry – they seem to be simply charging into a void to take advantage of the opportunity. This is really unfortunate.

While the covid situation in Alberta Canada is apparently in a crisis, a look at their data shows that it follows the pattern of other locations. For example, 90 % of deaths involved 3 or more pre-existing conditions, while 80% of covid ICU admissions involved at least 1 pre-existing condition.

Okay I’ll add to the pile of anecdotes: I lost my 90 year old mother to COVID earlier this year before vaccine rollout. This is the only person I know in my circle who tested positive and subsequently died. My stepmother, who was fully vaccinated and in good health, suddenly developed severe debilitating headaches, the cause of which could not be determined in spite of her undergoing multiple diagnostic tests. She was just taking various anti-inflammatories to control the pain. However, when she went to a routine dental apt, the dentist found a badly-infected root canal and put her on antibiotics, which instantly cured the headaches. Yes for sure the simple explanation is that there is no connection to vaccination, but I can’t help wondering if the vaccine impaired her body’s ability to manage a long-term low-grade infection.

Speaking of root canals, I remain on the same page as Dr. D WRT the idea that big pharma has been killing/maiming some folks in broad daylight for quite some time now, way before covid. If you watch American tv, half the ads are pushing medications, while the other half are advertising legal services for those harmed by medications.

Just to clarify: I am no vaccine fan, but I have trouble making sense of what’s happening in different places and sometimes it seems to me that the explanations provided for what is happening in one region do not hold water when you look at what is happening in another region.
PS Alberta’s vaccination rate (at least one dose) was at 67 percent compared to Ontario’s 75 percent. It just went up hugely from this rate when vaccine passports were rolled out.

More on the province of Alberta, that tried to be the Texas of Canada. The provincial premier opened everything up early, and then all hell broke loose. Now he has publicly apologized for mishandling covid and is in line with the other provinces, using all the same policies (vaccine passports etc). This premier absolutely did not want to go this route but the situation became so dire that he had little choice.

Going back to rates of hospitalization for the unvaxed: here is an analysis for Alberta. This way of presenting the data accounts for the proportion of the population that is vaccinated versus unvaccinated. While unvaccinated make up 32 percent of the total population (including children who cannot be vaccinated and are unlikely to get severely ill), they make up 74 percent of hospitalizations.
I have difficulty understanding why it is incorrect to include as unvaccinated those who received their vaccination less than 2weeks prior to falling ill, since it is my understanding that full immunity takes 2 weeks to achieve.

On to Russia, where vaccination rates are still low, but daily new deaths have been higher over the past month than they were fir the whole rest of the pandemic. https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/russia/

How does this fit with what’s happening in Israel and the explanation provided that vaccination is causing high rates of illness when apparently Fussia, with its low rate of vaccination, also has a serious problem with covid?

These kinds of inconsistencies seem to come up frequently and make me think that there are pieces of this story that we don’t fully understand.

What makes conversations more difficult in Canada is the fact that it is non- vaccinated who are absolutely overwhelmingly getting sick enough to end up in hospital. In the short term, the vaccine wins (as long as you don’t draw a short straw end get an adverse reaction). ADE is a long-term issue that, if I understand correctly, will be very difficult to trace back to vaccination.
Had another chat with a friend who works in Canada’s health regulatory agency- still not vaccinated because this person maintains her health is not good enough to produce an immune response. She seemed overall not nearly as confident in the vaccine route as most of the other chatter. She did not laugh me off when I mentioned ADE – just said we will only know how much of an issue this becomes with real world experience.

One more thought and then back to work: what I value most deeply these days is not travelling the planet. It is loving and nurturing a small piece of the planet and learning about it deeply, seeing it change over time and thru the seasons, exerting myself to take care of it as needed. The whole planet is there to see in your backyard if you look closely. Ask any artist.

Re Faber: the thing he is most concerned about is socialism because our standard of living will go down? Really? But yet he points to the monetary policies that enable massive concentration of wealth which he says will lead to war to maintain power (keep people together) – he doesn’t point that out as being scary. Here’s a thought- maybe we need a huge down-scaling of our standard of living so as not to destroy what little vitality is left of the natural world.

I don’t have any trouble at all seeing how Kendrick got to where he is. With all the vested interests, political machinations and misinformation, I am pretty much in exactly the same place as Kendrick. There is no institution at this point that will be given both the resources and liberty to conduct “semi-unbiased” research on the issue. Covid has also laid bare the limits to scientific research which have always existed, but went on steroids under covid. Calls to “follow the science”, as if there is some ultimate monolithic answer to be found thru science, were shown to be naive. Science is still the cleanest dirty shirt, but it still has limits as it is applied by humanoids.
Interesting to see China’s turning away from some aspects of capitalism (eg financial speculation on residential real estate). Linking to the article on climate lockdowns, I see a parallel. Are we on the cusp of a move away from a capitalism-centred world?

On athletes getting sick: here’s another take. Athletes according to Jon Barron typically have “trashed” (his word) immune systems. I speculate that this is because they push their bodies miles past normal limits and do not compensate/supplement adequately to account for this.

Phoenix Voice – interesting family stats – pretty inexplicable.
    A couple thoughts:
    – was this the delta variant that neither the vaccine nor natural immunity would be completely effective against?
    – duration of immunity (via vaccine or natural) may be limited. It has been suggested that the immune system is like a muscle that requires constant exercise. Lockdowns create unfit immune systems.

Yes the name of the game these days is to shut down anything against the mainstream. Article on Ottawa paper describes a woman’s life-changing adverse response to vaccine. According to her, she was told by public health not to go to the media with her story. However she did anyway with support of another public health official who intervened.
Another interesting article: The CBC is running basically a “laugh” piece against “crazy Albertans” for chasing horse paste off the shelves of the farm supply stores. Article commentary is so demeaning towards Albertans. We’ll see who gets the last laugh…

I would add that, just like the COVID jab that we are being virtually forced to accept, people have almost no options to avoid climate change impacts, nor can they easily outrun unequal economic policies. Similarly, over time it becomes more and more difficult to avoid pollution from the chemical stew we all live in. See? Covid is business as usual for our elites. Make some money and hope everything does not come crashing down on your watch.

On the idea of whether or not this pandemic is intentional and whether or not the elites know what they are doing: I am reminded that our elites have done several things, aside from their response to covid, that set us on a course of self-destruction. In particular, our elites have encouraged uncontrolled use of fossil fuels leading to life-ending climate change. They have created material inequality through unfair economic policies, shortening the lives of those who have to eek out an existence with so few resources. Our elites have allowed the steady destruction of our agricultural soils and the health of all life forms (including ourselves) by permitting glyphosate to be ubiquitously used everywhere. Our elites have also allowed uncontrolled production of all sorts of synthetic ‘forever’ chemicals, many of which are toxic to numerous life forms because they are not natural. These are examples of things the elites have actually done. It does not include the hypotheticals, such as the development of nuclear and other super weapons (even bio-weapons) that could render our planet uninhabitable should someone decide to press the button or release the bug.
All of these examples convince me that COVID, and the elite response to it, is not on an island of its own and it is instead one example among many of actions our elites have undertaken that put us all on a path of self-destruction. This is not new.

I think the high number of comments reflects a deep need to connect as the noose of vaccination is being tightened. It is frightening. Here now all federal civil servants must vax. At a provincial level teachers and health care workers must also vax. Other sectors surely will follow. Incredibly sad for all having to choose between vaxing and maintaining a livelihood. The self-assuredness of leaders in rolling out these hopeless measures is fascinating to behold. Seeing this is laughable to me. At these moments I bring myself back to reality by thinking of times when I have seen diseases ravage parts of my orchard. Thinking that one can stomp ones feet and make it all go away, as our leaders seem to be doing, is about as childish and unsophisticated as you can get. Slow, calm assessment, trying to get a deep understanding of what is going on may lead to solutions. It may also lead to the realization that the best response is to accept that there are natural forces beyond human control. I suspect our leaders have gotten where they are by being huge control freaks who have been on the winning-bullying side of our rigged system for so long that they don’t realize that this challenge is not amenable to their usual shenanigans.

Maybe the road to an easier mind is a looser attachment to staying alive. That’s what I’ m going for (not sure how it will work out- nature’s survival imperative has a way of over-ruling my plans). As previously stated, the American south, including Mississippi, is heavily polluted with glyphosate entering the Mississippi River as agricultural run-off. Studies suggest that glyphosate contributes to obesity. Remember that, as poor as these folks have been over time, their health was good before glyphosate.

Quoth RFK Jr.: Vaccines and glyphosate are responsible for the obesity epidemic!

Even with no vaccine, resistance to ivermectin has been observed in livestock all over the world. Google ivermectin livestock resistance and you will find lots of articles. From what I have read, ivermectin has quite a broad range of action. However, my understanding is that very little beats garlic. Interesting side note: an Alberta farm was robbed of 1500 garlic – pulled right out of the ground at their farm.
    Recipe for fire cider: https://blog.mountainroseherbs.com/fire-cider
No you don’t need to use all ingredients – the more you use the better the effect.
Note: I do not let my fire cider sit like this— I just put all ingredients in the blender and bled for about five minutes, then strain out the solid stuff, leaving the vinegar infused with the juices from the garlic etc. This way is quicker, but Rosemary Gladstar is the guru…up to you which way you want to make it.
Dosage: From Jon Barron for his fire cider (sold in 2 oz bottles)
one bottle per day for the first four days after you notice symptoms and then one bottle used at 10 droppers per day for the next six days to allow your adaptive immune system to “learn” the pathogen and get up to speed.

Re ivermectin becoming ineffective potentially: this was a question I asked at the outset. This has already been identified as an issue for its use for livestock.
Why do illness rates follow political lines? Access to health care may vary by geography (for sure between Canada and the US). Overall underlying health will impact ability to fight any disease. Recall that at, as per Zach Bush, the end of the Mississippi River is highly contaminated with glyphosate from agricultural runoff drained into the river, and this has led to a huge decline in the health of people in this region which, in spite of its poverty, enjoyed good health in earlier times.
Just a couple ideas that might explain the strange patterns in COVID.
A reminder that garlic has many anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral chemicals, making it extremely difficult for pathogens to develop resistance. However note that medicinal dose is much more than what you put on your salad. Check out fire cider recipes for other ideas.

Doc Robinson – good find on the flu-COVID vaccine study. I really wonder if it is a matter of the number of times a person has been vaccinated (ie one time may not be that bad).
I am wading thru Mikovits’ work and she makes a compelling case for the following:
    1. Many vaccines against viruses (flu, mmr, COVID) involve growing virus in animal (mouse tissue).
    2. This piece sounds astounding to me but here goes: the mouse tissue itself contains mouse viruses that also ends up in the vaccine. These viruses, when jumping from the mouse to a human, can mix with viruses in the vaccinated humans and create all kinds of health issues. When she tried to publish her work suggesting this, she ran into big trouble.
    3. What is utterly striking is the similarity among various “strange” ailments (long COVID, long Lyme, chronic fatigue). Mikovits suggests that they all have roots in exposure to contaminants in vaccines.
Being in a high Lyme region I just read a book by a local ecology professor about her experience of long haul Lyme. What jumped out of the page for me was that she mentioned having been vaccinated for the flu for the past 20 years. Also what is baffling is that folks I know (mostly small organic farmers) generally do not vaccinate, get many tick bites,(I topped out at 10 in one day) and yet we are not getting Lyme. Why is this when estimates are that 30 percent or more of ticks carry Lyme and the related nasty illnesses?
I will share more of Mikovits as I digest it but I do think she adds a dimension to the COVID story.
I have not seen a good summary yet of this idea and Mikovits is hard to understand when I listened to an interview.

COVID-19 only kills people who were flu vaccinated.

I’ m not sure if the work of Judy Mikovits has been covered yet here (see link).

Highlights: Cellular and molecular biologist Judy Mikovits, Ph.D. believes COVID-19 — the disease — is not caused by SARS-CoV-2 alone, but rather that it’s the result of a combination of SARS-CoV-2 and XMRVs (human gammaretroviruses)
SARS-CoV-2 also appears to have been manipulated to include components of HIV that destroys immune function along with XMRVs
Those already infected with XMRVs may end up getting serious COVID-19 infection and/or die from the disease. Mikovits’s research suggests more than 30 million Americans carry XMRVs and other gammaretroviruses in their bodies from contaminated vaccines and blood supply
Mikovits believes 40 years of data suggest Type 1 interferon at very low dose would be an ideal treatment for COVID-19
RT-PCR (reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction) testing, currently used to diagnose active infection by detecting the presence of SARS-CoV-2 genetic material, overestimates infection rates. For an accurate account of COVID-19 prevalence, we need to test for antibodies
Judy Mikovits, Ph.D. is a cellular and molecular biologist,1 researcher and was the founding research director of the Whittemore Peterson Institute that researches and treats chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) in Reno, Nevada.

Things that make you go “hmmm”. Abridged version: woman in eastern Ontario goes to hospital with COVID like symptoms. Gets diagnosed with previously rare tick-borne illness. Her doctor said he had only seen one such case previously in his career but now sees one per week. Cases have quadrupled across the border since last year.
I get ticks ALL THE TIME as do others around here who spend time outdoors. I have read pretty widely on Lyme and long-haul Lyme is shockingly like long-haul COVID. Other interesting note: people use ivermectin for Lyme. I just find this all very surprising.

Just harvested a lovely crop of garlic (about 1200). Better half came down with gout so I did the harvest myself – he owes me one but I sure don’t envy him the gout experience. We had a decent harvest of sour cherries whichI pitted and froze – will come in handy for the gout. We only got about half the usual amount of black raspberries (25 pounds versus over 50) due to a fungal disease lurking in my soil. I undertook to increase the potassium and sulphur in the soil by chopping and dropping comfrey and prolific perennial onions growing in my orchard. This will not kill the soil-dwelling fungus – just enhance the immune response of my raspberry plants, maybe like zinc for humans!
In my mixed plantings between the fruiting plants, it is always a chore to stay ahead of the weeds which can quickly overtake everything else – thistles abound along with wild carrot, milkweed, goldenrod and invasive like purple loose strife. I leave some of these types of plants but seriously they are so hardy that they quickly overwhelm. We also have ticks to contend with, so we keep grass alleys, cut short and mixed with clover, to reduce tick risks. As much as I love a great mix of plants, I spend significant manual effort keeping the weeds from totally dominating. From a strictly labour perspective, while mowing is work for sure, having at least some grass monoculture allows for mechanized management that we simply could not do without.

Under-reporting of adverse reactions to all drugs is a recognized phenomenon and all too common. Only about 10 percent of adverse events are reported according to studies on the issue. We lost a young family member to an adverse drug reaction a few years back and many meetings with officials (chief coroner, data collection agencies, developers of physician training materials etc) were undertaken at the time. The coroner’s office recognized that the cause of death was incorrectly identified, the data collection body acknowledged their collection categories were inadequate, and improvements were made to the way physicians report on cause of death related to this particular drug. Multiply this across all instances of drug adverse events and you get a sense of the extent of the issue.
Happy to report that 5 (count them!) of my friends have independently come to the conclusion that they do not want to get vaccinated. Surprising.
